"I say, aren't you going to look for clues?" The fat man was puzzled when he saw that Chen Ze did not continue digging.

"Boring!" Chen Ze curled his lips.

Fatty:......

The fat man also knew that Chen Ze was anxious, after all, this was related to whether he could get the reward.

So the fat man stopped bothering Chen Ze and focused on studying these stone statues.

But after a while, the fat man didn't find any clues, but he found another thing, which was a string of red ropes!
The fat man tied the red rope around his waist and prepared to take it away.

"Hey, why are you bringing this? What's the use of this thing?" Chen Ze looked at the fat man in confusion and asked.

The fat man did not answer Chen Ze, so Chen Ze could only follow him. It was too late for Chen Ze to stop him because the fat man had already put on the red rope.

"What is this?" Chen Ze asked, staring at the red rope.

"These are the legendary Bodhisattva's Tears!" the fat man said excitedly.

"Buddha's tears? What is that?" Chen Ze was puzzled.

"I don't know. Anyway, my family had a statue of Bodhisattva when I was in elementary school, so I don't know much about this thing. But since there is a legend about Bodhisattva crying, and Bodhisattva's tears have the same effect as Bodhisattva crying, I feel it should be pretty cool." The fat man said excitedly.

"Okay, keep this string of Bodhisattva's Tears first, and let's go!"

Chen Ze interrupted the fat man's YY, pulled the fat man up and ran away.

Chen Ze didn't know what special function the so-called Bodhisattva's Tears mentioned by the fat man had. What Chen Ze was more concerned about now was finding the owner of this tomb.

"Chen Ze, this sarcophagus is sealed!" The fat man suddenly stopped Chen Ze.

"What do you know? Open the coffin quickly, what if there is some secret inside?" Chen Ze urged.

The fat man shook his head. "We don't know what's inside. It would be unwise to open the coffin rashly."

"What are you afraid of? I'm here and I won't let you be in any danger." Chen Ze said.

"I'm not afraid, I'm just worried about you. You're a seriously ill patient. What should I do if you die?" the fat man said in a coherent manner.

Chen Ze was too lazy to pay attention to the fat man. He went around the side of the coffin and checked it carefully. The coffin was empty and the coffin lid was welded with steel bars. Chen Ze knocked on the coffin lid hard, making a dull sound.

"It's so damn hard!" Chen Ze complained.

"Try poking it with a dagger." the fat man reminded.

Chen Ze took out a sharp bayonet from his pocket and stabbed it towards the coffin board. Chen Ze showed no mercy and directly used all his strength to stab the steel coffin board.

"Dang!" The sound of the dagger piercing the wooden coffin board was extremely loud.

Fatty: "..."

"Fuck!" Chen Ze was also hurt by the dagger.

The fat man quickly comforted the injured Chen Ze, "Don't move, this coffin is too hard, let's wait for the police to come!"

"Why are we waiting for the police? I'm almost going crazy, open the coffin quickly!" Chen Ze didn't want to drag it on any longer, so he gave the fat man a direct and mandatory order.

The fat man had no choice but to obediently follow Chen Ze's instructions and use the bayonet to pry open the coffin lid.

"Crack!" The coffin lid was blown over, revealing the corpse inside.

Looking at the corpse, Chen Ze couldn't help but sigh: "Ah, another corpse!"

Chen Ze picked up the red rope on the corpse and took a look, and found that the rope was actually a symbol drawn with cinnabar.

"Is this something from Buddhism?" Chen Ze asked doubtfully.

"This should be the remains of the Buddha, let's burn them!" said the fat man. Chen Zeyu glanced at the fat man and said, "Burn your ass! We are here to look for treasure!"

Fatty: “We didn’t find it!”

Chen Ze: "..."

The fat man didn't dare to continue arguing. Chen Ze was the core figure of the team. If he annoyed Chen Ze, it would not be good for their future journey.

But even if Fatty didn't say it, Chen Ze had guessed the reason. It must be that their wages were too low, so Fatty would rather risk his life to rob tombs than spend money to hire craftsmen to build a tomb for Chen Ze and others. He even persuaded Chen Ze not to waste money.

"Then what do you say we should do? We can't come here for nothing, right?" said the fat man. The fat man used to be the village chief in his hometown, so he believed in the ancient tomb without a doubt. Now that he had this opportunity, he certainly would not let it go.

"Then let's look for other bases to see if we can find something valuable." Chen Ze had no better idea.

The two continued to explore the tomb, but after searching the entire tomb, they found nothing of value except the stone carvings.

"I don't recognize any of these stone sculptures. It seems that this world is more exciting than I imagined. There is even a Buddha sitting in a tomb." The fat man said, looking at the stone sculptures.

Chen Ze was looking at the stone carvings on the top of the stone chamber. This kind of stone carvings was different from ordinary stone carvings. The stone carvings in Chen Ze's memory all had textures or were uneven, but the stone carvings in front of him were very regular.

This reminded Chen Ze of the Yin-Yang and Eight Trigrams in the Book of Changes.

"Do you know any stone carvings that don't require any words?" Chen Ze asked the fat man.

"Yes, there are some rare and precious animals that don't need words." said the fat man.

Chen Ze: “Oh!”

Chen Ze didn't say much and turned to observe other stone carvings.

Although these stone carvings are all similar, Chen Ze still found some clues. These stone carvings are a bit like formation diagrams, and they are some kind of patterns similar to the eight trigrams.

Chen Ze told Fatty his judgment, hoping to find a way out of the impasse.

"Formation diagram?" The fat man also saw what was contained in the stone carvings, but he was not good at formations, so he had no idea what to do.

"I'll go see if there are any secret compartments or mechanisms nearby. Maybe this is a mechanism set up by the tomb owner." After saying this, Chen Ze walked into the cave.

The fat man looked at Chen Ze's back and then at the room full of Buddhas, Arhats, angels, and a golden Buddha. "Are these things really a temple? Why do I feel like they are a group of living Buddhas?"

The further Chen Ze walked into the cave, the more he was certain that this was an ancient Buddhist tomb.

After passing through several corridors, Chen Ze finally saw a tightly closed bronze door. This bronze door was exactly the same as the stone chamber just now.

Chen Ze raised his hand and pushed the door, only to find that it did not move at all.

"Oh my god, how heavy is this stone door?" Chen Ze said in surprise.

"I estimate it to be several hundred kilograms!" replied the fat man.

"Fuck! It's so heavy, are you sure anyone can move it?" Chen Ze looked at the fat man in surprise.

"Do you think I want to come in? There are a bunch of stone statues guarding outside. I can't get close at all." The fat man complained.

Chen Ze thought about it and said, "I have an idea!"

After Chen Ze finished speaking, he squatted down, put his palms on the ground, and began to chant, "I am Chen Ze, and I am here to pay tribute to the souls of my deceased relatives.

Today, we tomb robbers have unfortunately violated a taboo and want to steal the remains of the Buddha. We ask for the protection of the gods!"

As Chen Ze continued to recite silently, a picture gradually appeared in his mind.

In a desolate desert, a monk sat cross-legged in front of a Buddha statue. His face was kind and a smile hung on the corner of his mouth, as if he was whispering something to the Buddha.

This scene lasted for ten minutes, and finally the Buddha disappeared from sight. The surroundings became dark, with only one lamp burning in the darkness. Chen Ze vaguely saw the lamp right in front of him. (End of this chapter)
