Chapter 3 You Are Not Welcome in My Home
"I heard that Aunt Qin fell into the water last night and broke her leg, so I came to see her. By the way, which room does she live in?" Liu Yingyue nodded to Qin Yiran, pushed open the half-open fence gate, and looked at the three rooms in the yard.

"No need." A crutch suddenly stretched out to him diagonally.

Standing across the gate of the courtyard.

Blocked Liu Yingyue's way.

Liu Yingyue turned around and looked at him in surprise.

In theory, Qin Yiran's temper became bad after he knew that the original owner had betrayed him.

Before they got married, Qin Yiran was a gentle man.

This is also the main reason why the Liu family agreed to marry the original owner.

The Qin family can be poor and the man can have a lame leg, but they must have a good temper and must tolerate the spoiled nature of the Liu family's daughter.

But now, although it was their first official meeting, the look in Qin Yiran's eyes when he looked at her was so ferocious, as if he was looking at an enemy.

Did she remember the plot incorrectly?

"My grandfather asked me to come and see Aunt Qin. If you don't let me in, then I won't go. I'll go back and tell grandpa." Liu Yingyue thought for a moment and came up with an idea.

Old Man Liu is a highly respected person in the village, and everyone in the village respects him.

Besides, her father is the head of the village, in charge of all the major and minor affairs of the village.

Sure enough, after she finished speaking, the cane slowly moved away from her sight.

But Qin Yiran said nothing, just looked at her coldly, then limped into the yard with his crutches.

Seeing him walking with difficulty, Liu Yingyue quickly chased after him, "Qin Yiran, how is your leg now? What did the doctor say..."

"Aren't you here to see my mother? If not, leave now!" Qin Yiran suddenly stopped and turned around.

Liu Yingyue was walking in a hurry and didn't expect him to stop suddenly, so she bumped into him and fell into his arms.

Qin Yiran's legs were injured and he couldn't exert much force, so his entire body weight was supported by a pair of crutches.

Liu Yingyue's violent collision caused the crutch on her thin legs to lose balance, causing Qin Yiran to stagger unexpectedly.

Seeing that he was about to fall, Liu Yingyue hurriedly hugged him tightly.

"You... let go..." Qin Yiran's handsome face darkened and he was filled with anger.

"I'm afraid you'll fall." Liu Yingyue frowned.

She, with her petite body, held Qin Yiran, who was a head taller than her, and used all her breastfeeding strength to hold him.

"It's none of your business!" Qin Yiran pushed Liu Yingyue away with his elbow in disgust.

Liu Yingyue took two steps back, tears welling up in her eyes as she clutched her chest in pain, "You hurt me."

Qin Yiran was slightly startled, and raised his hand in his sleeve slightly, but then put it down.

"Da Lang, cough, cough, who are you arguing with? Cough cough cough--" A woman's violent coughing was heard in a room.

"Mom, it's nothing..."

"Aunt Qin, it's me, Yingyue. My grandfather heard that you fell into the water and broke your leg. He was very worried about your health, so he asked me to come and see you." Liu Yingyue walked to the window and said loudly inside.

"Oh, it's hard for Master Liu to worry about me. I feel embarrassed. Cough cough cough - Dalang, please invite Yingyue in. It's so cold, how can we let people talk outside? Yingyue is younger and she is your sister. You should love her." Madam Qin started coughing again.

Liu Yingyue glanced at Qin Yiran and found that he had no intention of stopping her, so she quickly walked into the house.

When they reached the door of the room, Liu Yingyue smiled and sent the basket to Aunt Qin on the bed. "My mother caught the chicken, and my grandmother gave me the eggs. They said they would help Aunt Qin to nourish her body."

"Oh, I'm embarrassed that your family cares about me. I asked you to come and see me, but why did you bring anything? You're too polite." Madam Qin lifted the quilt and struggled to get up. She then called Qin Yiran to get some sugar water.

"I don't want to drink sugar water, so no need to bother. Hey, Aunt Qin, please lie down and don't move!" Liu Yingyue found a safe place to put down the basket, wiped her hands on her sleeves, and quickly walked into the bedroom.

He ran to the bed and helped Madam Qin back onto the bed.

"My grandfather said that if Brother Qin hadn't risked his life to save him last month, he would have rolled down the cliff and broken his leg. Giving these little gifts is nothing." Liu Yingyue waved her hand and said with a smile.

"Hey, it's just a piece of cake. Besides, it was Dalang's own carelessness that caused him to fall off the cliff. Don't take it to heart." Madam Qin said embarrassedly.

Liu Yingyue looked around the room and took a deep breath.

The furnishings in this room are not as good as those in her utility room.

There were only a few rooms with crudely made furniture, all of which were worn out and had probably been passed down for several generations.

The bed curtains were covered with large patches and small patches, and the sheets had been washed so much that they had become bleached and the original color could no longer be seen.

Mrs. Qin looked pale and thin, which showed that she was very poorly nourished.

The Qin family lost a lawsuit in their early years and lost a lot of money, so their financial situation has always been poor.

"What did the doctor say?" Liu Yingyue lifted a corner of the quilt to check Madam Qin's legs.

My left leg is fractured, but fortunately it's not serious.

But if it is not bandaged, I am afraid that the healing will not be fast, which will affect the recovery of the leg and may also cause the sequelae of uneven legs.

"I asked the village doctor Chen to take a look. He said that his leg was broken and he told me to stay in bed and rest."

Liu Yingyue took Madam Qin's pulse again and checked her condition of cold.

"Auntie has a fever and lung inflammation. Has she been prescribed medicine?"

Madam Qin smiled bitterly, "It's not serious, just rest for a few days."

His leg was not bandaged, and he caught a cold after falling into the water, but he didn't take any medicine. It was obvious that he just let the doctor take a casual look.

The injury was so serious that the doctor would not give any bandage or prescribe any medicine. Obviously, the Qin family was saving money.

It would take three years for the Qin family to start living a good life. During this period, their family had to pay off the debts that Old Man Qin owed from lawsuits he had fought with others in his early years.

"This leg needs to be bandaged, otherwise it will take a long time to heal, and you will have uneven legs in the future, which will affect your walking." Liu Yingyue stood up and said, "I'm free now anyway, I'll rebandage it for Auntie."

Having said that, she stood up and walked out of the bedroom.

Madam Qin said quickly, "Yingyue, don't rush around. Be careful not to hurt your hands. Your hands are precious."

Liu Yingyue was already looking for tools in the main house of the Qin family.

In the main room of the Qin family, there was a table, four rough long benches, and a shrine for offering sacrifices to gods. In the corner of the room were a few old backpacks, a load of old baskets, and a pile of old straw sandals.

A few worn-out sickles and axes.

Liu Yingyue picked up a hatchet that suited her needs, weighed it in her hand, then turned around and walked outside the main house to look for wood boards.

Suddenly she saw Qin Yiran standing by the gate, looking at her coldly, "What are you going to do?"

"Put a splint on Aunt Qin's leg. I need a board. Your family doesn't have any ready-made boards. I'll go chop some wood chips." Liu Yingyue said, pointing at his leg, "Your leg needs to be checked too. Without a splint, it will heal slowly. With a splint, it will heal in three months at most. Otherwise, it will take half a year."

"You're bored playing at home, so you want to come to my house to have some fun, right? Miss Liu Yingyue?" Qin Yiran laughed sarcastically, "Go home and have some fun. My house doesn't welcome you, and we can't stand your trouble."
