Self-struggle starting from Douluo

Chapter 413: Zen Confrontation

The scene was very quiet, eerily quiet. Even when Lu Chenjia came running over in a hurry, he could not break the silence.

Everyone was looking at the two monks, one old and one young. The old one was naturally the chief monk who lectured at the Hanging Temple. He was known as the Buddha on earth, and his body and mind had been cultivated to the highest realm of Vajra Indestructibility in Buddhism.

Even if you don’t know the young monk, you can guess who he is by seeing his solemnity when he appears.

The evil monk Qinghuan!

Master Qishan commented that his Buddha nature was amazing and that no one could teach him. The Master commented that his Buddha Dharma was profound. Zhishou Guan even asked Liu Bai, the strongest man in the world, to take action and try to destroy him...

He had many deeds, but almost no military achievements, only three in total. In one of them, he killed the ascetic monk Wu Shi from the White Pagoda Temple on a rainy night in Chang'an. The means by which he did so were unknown, and it could not be recorded in the "Sha" scroll of the Heavenly Book.

In the second battle at Wa Mountain, he took on Liu Bai's sword. Although he was defeated, the means he used were said to be the "immeasurable" means above the fifth realm of Buddhism.

The third match was still at Wa Mountain. He defeated the three walking warriors by himself. Ye Su was beaten back, Qi Nian was rolled away, and Tang Wei took action and neutralized Liu Baitian's sword...

There is a consensus in the spiritual practice community that spiritual practice is about who can live longer...but this principle does not apply to some people.

There are thousands of Buddhist teachings nowadays, but they all remain based on the same core, which is to practice Zen meditation and enter Buddhahood through Zen meditation. So for Buddhism, the level of cultivation is not only determined by who lives longer, but also by who can understand Zen principles better!
The chief lecturer not only lives a long life, but is also the first person to give lectures, so his knowledge of Zen principles is naturally profound.

But the Zen philosophy of the evil monk Qinghuan... although many people dare not say it openly, they have probably already suspected in their hearts that it is no less than that of the chief lecturer!
When these two people face off, will they attack directly or will they discuss and reason with each other?
……

The chief lecturer was also looking at Qing Huan with admiration in his eyes, and said, "I have wanted to invite you to the Hanging Temple to worship Buddha for a long time, but you always avoided me."

Qing Huan said calmly: "I have entered Lingshan Mountain and have achieved Buddhahood. It doesn't matter if I don't go to the Hanging Temple... Besides, it's still unknown whether the one who is there is Buddha or devil!"

The chief lecturer shook his head in disappointment and said, "Fool!"

Then he raised his hand. He was holding a staff and an old monk was hanging on his arm, but none of these could shake his arm at all.

He just raised his arm gently, and then lowered it. The old monk's feet left the ground, fell down, and the staff also touched the ground.

The tip of the staff made a clear, bell-like sound.

The voice of the chief lecturer chanting also sounded: "Thus have I heard: the three realms are impermanent, all existences are without joy, there are the characteristics of the original nature of the Way, everything is empty, there is no wind nor dew, no fog nor lightning, with this pure and quiet contemplation, arise from that body."

As the Buddhist chanting began, the surrounding environment suddenly underwent a strange change. The lake water stopped surging, and the willows on the shore drooped weakly...

All sounds disappeared, and the world around fell into absolute silence, so peaceful that it made people feel palpitating.

The air is still there, but there is no wind...

The water is still there, but there is no more fog, rain, frost or snow…

The clouds are still there, but there is no lightning or thunder...

All the basic substances are still there, but all the properties derived from the basic substances have disappeared.

All "impermanent dharmas" have disappeared!

Everything returns to its original state, with only the most primitive substances, and no other changes in properties!

If heaven and earth stop breathing, the vitality of heaven and earth will naturally disappear.

This is the Buddhist kingdom, a world above the five realms, it is a world of its own and is not under the jurisdiction of Haotian!
Qinghuan retracted his forward leg. He was about to snatch the old monk away, but in the Buddhist country, even the "Wu Jutsu" could not be activated.

In the absolutely pure world, Qing Huan opened his mouth and said, "All phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows; like dew and lightning, they should be viewed in this way!"

The meaning of this sentence is generally similar to that of the chief lecturer, but the most crucial part is the last sentence: "We should view it in this way"!
This sentence does not mean "it should be viewed this way", but it means that it should be viewed from the perspective of "true nature"!
So it is, it should be so!
Therefore, when the song of Qinghuan was finished, the wind blew, swaying the weeping willows, rippling the surface of the water, and bringing a moist breath... Another Buddhist kingdom was added to the Buddhist kingdom!

The world still had no breath, no vitality, but compared to the original state just now, the world was much more alive, with wind, rain, thunder, lightning...

All "impermanent dharmas" are empty, which is the rule of the Buddhist kingdom of the chief lecturer.

Qinghuan recognized this rule, but added a new rule under this rule: "View it like this"!
The chief lecturer chanted a few sentences of the sutra, and then used the Buddha's words to create a world in the human world, a "silent" world with only basic matter and no change.

Qinghuan has added countless changes to this world!

The sound of their chanting continued to echo between heaven and earth, over and over again. It was vast and seemed as if they were competing with each other.

The others didn't know what was happening in the field. They couldn't hear or see, and even if they could hear or see, they couldn't understand. They just felt instinctively that something extremely solemn and wonderful was happening.

So they all bowed their heads, not only to the chief lecturer, but also to Qinghuan.

……

As the two people's Buddhist chants continued to stalemate, the face of the chief lecturer became slightly sad, while Qinghuan's face turned pale.

This is a contest between the two Zen thoughts.

The head monk's eyes were complicated. He didn't expect that the other party had realized a higher level based on "all phenomena are empty"...

Both sides agree that "all conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows", but Qinghuan proposed on this basis that "one should view them in this way"!
The head monk's expression became serious. He pointed at Qing Huan and said, "I have heard that there is a mountain called Prajna. It is one hundred and eight thousand times heavier than Tianqi Mountain. It can fill up the storm sea and suppress all demons."

If the heaven and earth can breathe, then at this moment, the earth is gasping for breath!

A violent aura seeped out from the earth, suddenly compressed at an unimaginable speed, and then turned into an infinite mountain that seemed to be a solid entity, breaking through the air, as if it wanted to completely suppress Qinghuan under the mountain.

Qinghuan felt as if a huge mountain was pressing down on him. His feet sank directly into the ground to his knees, and then he spat out a mouthful of blood.

Qinghuan wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, raised one hand high, with five fingers spread out, as if to support the mountain, or as if to grasp the mountain in his palm.

He chanted in his mouth: "One flower is a world, one leaf is a Bodhi, the height and width of Mount Sumeru can be contained in a mustard seed, without any increase or decrease."

Then he grabbed the "mountain" in his palm!

"The mountain" comes from the breath of the earth, and the chief lecturer is connected to the earth. In other words, the chief lecturer is held in Qinghuan's palm!

The chief lecturer at that time also had this feeling.

He only felt clouds and mist all around him, and there were five pillars supporting the sky all around him. The five huge pillars were gathering inwards and pressing down on him!
The originally sad face became even more bitter.

The earth began to surge, piling up layer by layer like huge waves, and the giant pillars that were originally collapsing inward were actually held up.

Naturally, I couldn't hold Qinghuan's hand anymore.

Taking this opportunity, the chief lecturer recited: "Thus I have heard: Due to the power of Samadhi, all the mountains, trees, grasses and land in the Santiradhi world have been transformed into seven treasures, so that all the people can see themselves and listen to the wonderful Dharma in front of the Buddha."

Qinghuan's palm began to explode, and in an instant the entire palm was covered in blood, even the bones of one of the fingers were exposed and clearly visible.

Qing Huan grimaced in pain, withdrew his hand, and cursed: "Is it all you can say, 'Thus I have heard'? Can't you say it yourself once?"

Cursing, Qing Huan pointed to the sky with one hand and to the ground with the other, and shouted: "I say: I am the only one who rules the world!" (End of this chapter)
