Chapter 534 Rectification Notice

Chapter 534 Rectification Notice
Yan Jiekuang was taking the children through the alley. Liangzi was skipping with Fangfang, and he was following behind with Nannan in his arms. Nannan's little eyes were rolling around, looking around constantly. Xiaojin was following behind Yan Jiekuang, not barking, but just running around. Just as they reached the entrance of Yuer Hutong, they heard someone calling him.

"Yan Jiekuang, Comrade Yan Jiekuang, please wait a moment." Yan Jiekuang sounded a little unfamiliar with the voice behind him.

Yan Jiekuang stopped and turned around, and a woman in her forties dressed simply and neatly ran over to him. "Who are you?" Yan Jiekuang asked in confusion.

"Comrade Yan Jiekuang, you may not know me. I am a clerk in the street office. My surname is Xie. I came to see you today specially. I have something to ask you. Is it convenient for you?" said clerk Xie.

Yan Jiekuang said, "Okay, let's go to that place. The weather is so cold."

Yan Jiekuang led the way and took Clerk Xie back to his home and led them directly into the living room in the front yard. Yan Jiekuang handed the girl to Liangzi and told them to stay in the bedroom in the backyard. Don't forget to light the fire. Liangzi knew how to do this. After agreeing, the three children went to the backyard.

Yan Jiekuang took off his coat and said to clerk Xie, "Please sit down. I'll light the fire. It's too cold. The heating temperature is not high enough. I don't know what's wrong with the heating company this year."

Clerk Xie sat down on the single sofa, and Yan Jiekuang poured her another cup of tea and placed it on the coffee table in front of Clerk Xie.

Yan Jiekuang also sat down and asked, "I wonder what you want to talk to me about?"

Clerk Xie put down his teacup and said, "Oh, that's right. As far as we know, you have a total of six courtyard houses in Nanluoguxiang, four of which are second-floor courtyard houses and two are first-floor courtyard houses, right?"

Yan Jiekuang said: "Yes, I have so many, but I only live in this one, and I rent out the rest."

Clerk Xie said, "That's right. I came here for those courtyard houses. Have you visited them recently?"

Yan Jiekuang shook his head and said to Clerk Xie, "You have lived here for many years. You know that this area is prosperous. However, this area has long been listed as a cultural relic protection area. In principle, your courtyard house cannot be demolished or modified, except for the interior decoration, including the layout structure, roof and exterior wall, of course including the gate. However, the houses you rented out have been changed beyond recognition. Some have new doors, some have new windows, all for the purpose of opening up the storefront, and the signs hung are also varied. The Cultural Relics Bureau has issued you a rectification notice, and you are required to restore the original state within one month, otherwise you will be fined."

As he spoke, Clerk Xie took out a form from his bag and handed it to Yan Jiekuang. Yan Jiekuang took it and took a look, and it was indeed a rectification notice issued by the Cultural Relics Bureau.

Then Clerk Xie took out a registration book, opened a page, and said, "Please sign for it."

Yan Jiekuang frowned. He really didn't know this. He didn't often hang out in Nanluoguxiang. He once asked Xiaobao to help patrol there, but Xiaobao never mentioned this when he came back.

Yan Jiekuang signed his name in the registration book and said, "I really don't know about this. I will go and check it myself tomorrow. If it is true, I will definitely change it back."

Clerk Xie put away the registration book, stood up and said, "Okay, I'll go back. Please make the changes as soon as possible. When you're done, go to the street office and let me know so I can notify them to come back for a re-inspection."

Yan Jiekuang agreed, then saw Clerk Xie off and returned home, thinking that he would have to walk around his property tomorrow, at least around the courtyard.

Yan Jiekuang tidied up the living room, then turned off the lights and went to the backyard. Xiao Jin greeted him with wagging tail. When he returned to the bedroom, Nannan was learning to crawl on her bed, Fangfang was watching her. Liangzi probably went back to his room to read.

Yan Jiekuang teased Fangfang for a while, then asked, "Fangfang, do you want to go to kindergarten? Your brother will go to school next year, and you and your daughter will be the only ones left at home. Won't you be lonely?"

Fangfang pouted when she heard that, shook her head and said, "I don't want to go. If I go to kindergarten, I won't see you for a day. What should I do if I miss you? I'm not afraid of being alone."

Yan Jiekuang was stunned and said, "There are many children in the kindergarten for you to play with, isn't that good? Besides, I can pick you up in the evening, it's not like I won't be back." Fangfang still shook her head and said, "Dad, I just want to be with you every day, I don't want to go anywhere."

When Yan Jiekuang heard this, he thought, well, she has become attached to him, so he would not try to persuade her anymore. He planned to take her for a walk around the kindergarten in the spring and let her see the life of the children in the kindergarten first. What if she is interested in it then?

Liangzi is a little strict with himself now. It may be because of his childhood experiences that make him cherish his present life and have an almost obsessive desire for learning, so he has higher requirements for himself. Yan Jiekuang cannot say that this idea is bad. He is always worried that Liangzi will lose a lot of childhood happiness, so whenever Yan Jiekuang goes out, he takes these children with him.

Yan Jiekuang asked Fangfang if she was still hungry. Fangfang shook her head, pointed at her stomach and said, "There are too many good things today. I am full."

"Haha, don't eat so much in the future. Tell dad what you want to eat and he will make it for you." Yan Jiekuang said with a smile.

Today is not the weekend, and among the children, only Xiaohai and Xixi will come back after evening self-study, so Yan Jiekuang still plans to cook something in case the children are hungry when they come back.

Yan Jiekuang asked Fangfang to look after his daughter, and then went to the kitchen in the front yard to cook. Yan Jiekuang did not plan to cook much, just some century egg and lean meat porridge, and some fried dumplings.

At 8:30 in the evening, Xiaohai and Xixi came back. As soon as they entered the yard, they shouted, "Dad, we are hungry."

Yan Jiekuang came out from the backyard and said, "I made some for you. It's late at night, so don't eat too much. They're all in the kitchen. Go get them. I'll go ask Liangzi and Fangfang if they want some."

Yan Jiekuang returned to the bedroom and called Liangzi out from the west room, asking him and Fangfang if they wanted some more porridge. The two little guys nodded, and Yan Jiekuang laughed and said, "I knew you were still hungry. Let's go, I'll go pick up Nannan, your brother and sister are serving it, let's go to the restaurant."

The restaurant was brightly lit at this time. Xiao Hai turned on all the lights. There was a pot of porridge, several bowls and a soup spoon on the table.

Yan Jiekuang saw that the two children were very quick. The porridge and dumplings were placed on the table. Xiaohai was already serving himself porridge, but he didn't see Xixi, so he asked, "Where's your sister?"

"He went to the cellar and insisted on not eating porridge without pickles. He is so picky." Xiao Hai said.

At this time, the door curtain was lifted, and Xixi came in with two plates of pickles and said, "Who are you talking about? If you have the guts, don't eat it." After that, she put the pickles on the table.

Fangfang ran over immediately and said, "Sister, I missed you so much. I'm so sleepy and haven't slept yet. I'm just waiting for you."

Xixi kissed Fangfang and said, "Sister misses you too. Let's eat first."

Yan Jiekuang served porridge to several children and also served half a bowl to Nannan. He had no choice but to drool. He put Nannan on a high stool and Yan Jiekuang fed him one spoonful at a time.

From time to time, he asked Xiaohai and Xixi about their studies. The two children answered one by one and talked about interesting things in their respective classes. Liangzi was very interested and listened with his ears perked up.

After dinner, Xixi played with Fangfang for a while and then went to the study to review. Xiaohai took Liangzi to their own room. Yan Jiekuang coaxed Nannan to sleep first. After the children fell asleep, Yan Jiekuang checked the water, electricity and door locks before going back to his room to sleep.
