Chapter 116: Improper Things

Nanshi Mengjia
The atmosphere at the dinner table was very harmonious. Chu Jingyan and Huo Zheng were chatting enthusiastically. Chu Jingyan could always find a topic to talk about, and no matter what Huo Zheng said, Chu Jingyan could always give a response.

Gu Nanjue always felt that something was wrong with Huo Rao and kept looking at her.

Meng Qingyi sat next to Chu Jingyan, and on her right was Meng Zhiyi.

She wanted to find an opportunity to chat with Chu Jingyan, but Chu Jingyan always avoided her, but he still took care of her at the dining table.

Meng Zhiyi noticed something was wrong with the person next to him and asked, "Did they have a fight?"

Meng Qingyi pursed her lips, not wanting Meng Zhiyi to worry, "No."

Meng Zhiyi smiled and shook his head.

Suddenly, Huo Zheng said something shocking, "Xiao Chu, how many children do you plan to have in the future?"

Meng Qingyi's eyes suddenly widened and she was choked.

Chu Jingyan was thinking about how to answer when Huo Zheng said, "It would be best if you and Yiyi had two children in the future."

"From now on, one will have Yiyi's last name, and the other will have yours."

"Otherwise, our Meng family will be extinct."

Meng Zhiyi frowned, it turned out that this was directed at him.

"Grandpa is right, but it depends on Yiyi." Chu Jingyan picked up a chicken leg and gave it to her.

"I don't know if I will be able to hold my granddaughter in my lifetime." Huo Zheng sighed, "It's not impossible if I can hold my great-granddaughter first."

Huo Zhiyi frowned and picked up a piece of ribs, "Dad, eat meat."

"Yiyi, you eat." Huo Zheng passed the ribs to Meng Qingyi, "Someone really doesn't care about his old father."

"My teeth are loose, can I still chew the ribs?"

Huo Zhiyi was shocked and snorted, "Who was still chewing pig's trotters late last night?"

Huo Zheng gritted his teeth and glanced at Uncle Meng. Uncle Meng lowered his head quietly. Last night, the master suddenly wanted to eat pig's trotters. Usually, Meng Zhiyi bought them. He didn't know the address, so he had to call Meng Zhiyi.

Huo Zheng was furious. This enemy kept trying to sabotage him.

For a moment, the atmosphere at the table was a little awkward. Chu Jingyan raised his lips and picked up a piece of glutinous braised pork, "Grandpa."

Huo Zheng smiled and glanced at Meng Zhiyi proudly.

Meng Zhiyi shook his head and decided not to argue with him, for fear that he would be accused of being unfilial.

After dinner, Gu Nanjue suggested leaving first, but Huo Zheng strongly asked them to stay for one night. Gu Nanjue could not refuse and agreed.

Naturally, Chu Jingyan and the others stayed as well.

After dinner, Huo Zheng was used to going out for a walk and strolling his bird. Chu Yan and Xi Yu followed him.

Meng Qingyi never found a chance to talk to Chu Jingyan. Now Huo Rao had something to do and went back to her room.

Meng Zhiyi also went to the study to deal with some things.

"Miss."

"Why don't you take me to the garden for a walk? It's boring to sit here all the time."

"Your room is ready, you can go to sleep for a while?" Uncle Meng did not follow Huo Zheng out, but stayed to greet them.

Meng Qingyi blushed and nodded, "Uncle Meng, go and get busy."

Uncle Meng stepped back.

"Second brother."

"Shall we go for a walk outside?"

Chu Jingyan took a sip of tea and responded calmly, "Yeah."

He stood up, and without waiting for Meng Qingyi, she hurriedly followed him.

The two walked closely together. Chu Jingyan was waiting for Meng Qingyi to speak, but Meng Qingyi hadn't figured out what to say yet.

Chu Jingyan sighed, paused and turned around.

Meng Qingyi didn't react in time and fell into his arms, looking up with red eyes.

Chu Jingyan snorted. "Did it hurt you?" Meng Qingyi asked, kneading his chest with her small hands.

Chu Jingyan grabbed her hand and said, "Don't touch me."

Meng Qingyi looked up at a loss, met his gaze, and stood there in a daze.

Chu Jingyan sighed again and hugged her, "There's nothing I can do to you."

"Second brother, I'm sorry." Meng Qingyi wrapped her small hands around his strong waist and rubbed her head against his chest.

Chu Jingyan rubbed her hair with his big hands and said softly, "When your mother returns home, I will talk to her about our marriage, okay?"

Meng Qingyi raised her eyes, saw the look in his eyes, and responded sincerely, "Yeah."

Chu Jingyan smiled, kissed the corner of her mouth, and hugged her tightly.

half an hour later

"Brother, I'm going to take you to see something."

Meng Qingyi took him by the hand and walked in one direction.

Meng Qingyi looked around like a thief to see if there was anyone around, then heaved a sigh of relief and pushed open a door.

The two walked in, and Chu Jingyan looked around.

Suddenly, he curled his lips and smiled. This was clearly her boudoir. Although no one had lived there for a long time, it was still full of the smell of fireworks.

Chu Jingyan walked forward, glanced at the photo on the table, picked it up and considered it carefully. The person in the photo was smiling brightly and full of vitality.

Meng Qingyi was squatting on the side, looking for something.

When she stood up, "Is this you and your mother?" Chu Jingyan asked.

Meng Qingyi nodded shyly.

Chu Jingyan kissed her forehead and said, "You are as beautiful as your mother-in-law."

She lowered her head in shame and raised the book in her hand, "Look."

"What?" Chu Jingyan asked.

Meng Qingyi curled the corners of her mouth. There was no sofa in her room, so she could only pull Chu Jingyan to sit on the bed.

She opened the book, and there seemed to be a photo in the middle of the book. Chu Jingyan didn't see it clearly, because Meng Qingyi had already held the photo in front of him.

His eyes changed, "Who took this photo?"

Meng Qingyi smiled slightly, "Someone was taking pictures there that night, and took this photo when he saw me saving people."

"But only your back."

The people in the photo looked to be Chu Jingyan and Meng Qingyi, and the scene was exactly the day they first met. Chu Jingyan was holding an umbrella, and Meng Qingyi was squatting and looking up at him, with an indescribable feeling.

"When the photographer gave it to me, I kept wondering if I could find some clues from the photo, if I could find the person."

Chu Jingyan's lips curved up, "So have you been thinking about me for more than a year?"

Meng Qingyi's ears turned red as she retorted, "No, I just wanted to know who in this day and age is so old-fashioned that they still carry handkerchiefs on their bodies."

Chu Jingyan frowned slightly, then smiled and moved closer to her, "But I've always been thinking about you."

His hot breath hit her ears, burning her ears red, and she tried to move away from him.

But Chu Jingyan did not give in at all. Every time she took a step back, Chu Jingyan took a step closer, and the two were only a few centimeters apart.

Chu Jingyan blew into her ear, "Yi Yi."

Meng Qingyi trembled slightly, turned her head, and met his lingering gaze, "What's wrong?"

"Want to do something naughty?"

Meng Qingyi was shocked and glanced around, "Isn't this a bit bad?"

Chu Jingyan pursed his lips and brushed his fingers across her blushing cheek. Meng Qingyi could only hear his heavy breathing.

She closed her eyes nervously, her eyelashes trembling slightly.

Chu Jingyan looked at her nervous expression and laughed for no reason.
