Chapter 92 Apollo Hospital

Inside the dim bar, Lao Gui was sipping a glass of whiskey, while Gu Ye was carefully observing the surroundings. This was his first time in such a place, but one thing is for sure: Americans are much more open-minded than the Chinese, as can be seen from the hot girls on the stage with less and less clothes on.

"Senior Laogui, this is not how you gather information, is it?" Gu Ye turned his head to look at Laogui who was staring at the hot girl on the stage. He now looked like a melancholy middle-aged man, but his eyes were almost sunken into the hot girl's chest.

"Of course... As a senior, let me tell you a little knowledge. Generally speaking, most of the things that happen in a city can be found in the bar. After all, there are all kinds of people here." The old ghost answered Gu Ye without turning his head.

"So that chick has intelligence painted on her chest?"

"Ahem! This is where many hunters gather. Don't think too much. I'm going to gather some information first. You just wait for me here." The old ghost drank the whiskey in the glass, stood up and walked to the dance floor on the side.

Gu Ye looked at the group of guys who were drinking silently in the corner. They seemed to have been observing him and Lao Gui since the beginning. Seeing Gu Ye staring at them, one of the guys raised his glass to greet Gu Ye, and his golden eyes appeared silently under the dazzling lights.

Gu Ye picked up the Coke beside him and raised the glass to this guy, and also lit up the golden eyes. Only then did he realize that everyone around him seemed to have golden eyes. There were actually more than a dozen mixed-bloods in such a small bar. The old ghost did not lie.

"I have almost learned all the intelligence. Davis's activities are very small, limited to the villa and Apollo Hospital. He occasionally goes out just to hunt for beauties, and only goes to bars near the beach." In a short while, the old ghost returned to Gu Ye, and he held two glasses of whiskey in his hands again.

"There are tourists in Miami Beach all year round. I guess Davis chose that place because it is convenient for hunting people from other states or other countries." Gu Ye nodded and gave his analysis.

Generally speaking, unless you are a local of Miami, it will be very difficult for MPD to investigate. And this place is known as the "City of Crime", so you can imagine how efficient MPD is.

"If we wait in the bar for a while, we should get something in return. Some hunters are also ready to wait." The old ghost said softly.

"He will definitely not go back to the villa. The only options now are the beach and Apollo Hospital. I think the beach is safer, but Apollo Hospital may have more clues about Davis. What do you think?" After saying this, Lao Gui stared at Gu Ye, as if waiting for him to make a choice.

"I don't want to waste too much time. If he is going to conduct some kind of experiment, maybe there will be more information left in the Apollo Hospital." Gu Ye made a choice after thinking for a moment.

"Is that so?" A slightly subtle and complex expression appeared on the old ghost's face, and he pushed a glass of whiskey in front of Gu Ye.

"Indeed, sometimes you can't make money by being too cautious. Let's go after this glass of wine. I have already contacted them."

"I don't drink." Gu Ye gently pushed away the wine glass. He really didn't like drinking. In his impression, alcohol would only affect the speed of thinking.

"Every man will experience such a first time. Just consider it as my blessing to you. I wish us all the best this time." Lao Gui picked up the whiskey and gently touched the glass that Gu Ye had placed on the table, smiling at him.

"Is that so? Then I'll take your good words." Gu Ye's eyes met Lao Gui's and he chuckled. Then he drank the glass of wine under Lao Gui's gaze.

"Very good, now you are a real man, young man." Lao Gui patted Gu Ye's shoulder and raised his hand to make a gesture.

Then all the mixed-bloods in the bar seemed to stand up. The mixed-blood who had interacted with Gu Ye nodded to the two of them and walked towards the door of the bar. Others also left the bar one after another.

"How did you get in touch? Why did they all leave as if they had agreed on it?" Gu Ye couldn't help but ask after returning to the jeep. "Hunter's website? I just posted a message to recruit people after asking for information, and even the departure gesture was decided." Lao Gui casually took out his mobile phone and handed it to Gu Ye.

Gu Ye looked at the screen. A website with a completely black background displayed the call for action posted by Lao Gui. His post said that Davis' location had been found, and whoever killed him first would only receive 20% of the reward. It didn't seem like there was anything wrong with it.

"Does this count as heavy bleeding?" Gu Ye handed the phone back.

“That may not be the case. Isn’t our target the alchemical knife? Not many people in the Hunter Organization know about this thing. If I hadn’t been in the organization for a long time, I wouldn’t even care if you told me about it.” The old ghost shrugged indifferently, completely unaware of the expression on Gu Ye’s face.

"Let's go, they should have gone to Apollo Hospital." Lao Gui quickly started the jeep. Gu Ye looked out the window and sighed. This might be the last time he would cooperate with Lao Gui. He was really reluctant to part with this guy who looked stingy but soft-hearted.

In the parking lot outside Apollo Hospital, Lao Gui carefully checked his equipment and spoke to Gu Ye as if to confirm again.

"Do we really need to go to the hospital to investigate first?"

"We're already here, so don't waste your time." Gu Ye said unhappily, putting on brass knuckles on his hands and loading the magazine of the Glock pistol with bullets.

"Let's go..." Without hesitation, Lao Gui quickly opened the car door and got into the elevator with Gu Ye.

"The hospital is so big, where can we find clues about Davis and others?" Gu Ye asked in the elevator.

"You don't have to worry about that... There's nothing going on on the second floor, nor on the fourth and third floors... Right now the most suspicious should be the medical laboratory on the first floor." The old ghost quickly slid his phone and pressed the button for the first floor. Gu Ye observed with his peripheral vision and saw that there were constantly new posts on the Hunter Forum updating the exploration intelligence belonging to the hospital.

"It looks like they are moving very quickly..." Gu Ye couldn't help but sigh.

"After all, time is money..." The old ghost spoke without raising his head. After the elevator made a ding-dong sound, he looked at Gu Ye.

"Are you ready?"

"Is there any need to ask?" Gu Ye clenched his fists and entered the corridor the moment the elevator opened.

"The surveillance has been destroyed by them. With their guidance, we should be able to find the correct location quickly." Lao Gui said behind Gu Ye.

The only sounds left in the silent corridor were the footsteps of two people. Ten minutes later, Gu Ye stopped at the door of a laboratory that had been blown open.

"This should be it." Gu Ye looked inside. The lights kept flickering, as if a giant beast lurking in the dark was blinking.
