Chapter 53 The legend begins

New legends emerged in the goblin camp, telling how the great dragon destroyed the undead troops one after another and saved the goblins below from being destroyed.

The goblin craftsmen have begun carving new statues based on the goblins' descriptions. These statues will be placed in the most conspicuous places in the camp to be worshipped by the goblins.

Farui didn't know what had happened. He found a secluded place to land and checked his physical condition.

That power was obviously different from the power he gained through fighting or sleeping. It did not come from his own strength.

Fari carefully tried to mobilize this power.

"It's indeed different from my own strength."

This power was very small, but it was very difficult and unsmooth to mobilize. Fary tried for a long time before a little bit of power responded to his call and entered the gland in the throat that was used to transform dragon breath.

Then, Fari opened his mouth and a faint flame spewed out of his mouth.

This tiny flame was so tiny compared to his usual breath that it could only be described as miniature, and was not much bigger than the flame that came out of the corner of his mouth when he hiccuped.

When he was still on Dragon Island, an arrogant-looking old man once came to the outside of his mother's nest.

Fari muttered something, feeling somewhat uneasy about the power within him.

He had seen this kind of fire once.

The attack of the Undead has come to an end. After all, Fary cannot split himself. In places he cannot take care of, the Undead have made some progress. Several outposts have been completely destroyed by the Undead. Some of the Undead have broken through the defense line and came to a village protected by the goblins.

There was no heat wave, nor any residual flames, and everything in that area seemed to have been wiped out out of thin air.

He quite likes his current nest, and he doesn't plan to move unless he really can't keep it.

This thought only flashed through Fari's mind for a moment. The time it took him to travel to and from Dragon Island was probably enough for the undead to tear down his nest.

"Don't think about it anymore. We'll talk about it later."

Fary continued to try again. He needed to conduct more experiments on this strange power.
But this time, no matter how Fari tried to mobilize it, the power seemed dead and did not move.

"Should you be shameless enough to ask mom?"

Fari thought a little nervously. He was a little afraid to go back. He didn't know how his mother in this world would view him, and he didn't know whether he could get an answer.

"After we finish dealing with these things, let's go back to Dragon Island."

Fortunately, the undead were temporarily unable to launch an attack and stopped, giving the villagers a chance to evacuate.

Farry didn't know what they talked about, but in the end his mother just exhaled and the arrogant old man disappeared.

The goblins suffered heavy losses that night and it would take about a week or two to recover their strength. They had to temporarily abandon these difficult-to-defend villages.

The old man has the aura of a legendary being, and since he was able to come to Dragon Island, he should be one of the top legendary beings.

But it was this faint, almost colorless flame that instantly created a fan-shaped pit nearly a hundred meters long in front of Fari.

Of course, while retreating, traps had been set up in the village, which could more or less cause some damage to the undead.

"As expected, my own strength is the only thing I can rely on."

Fari flapped his wings and flew up.

Fari flapped his wings and retreated repeatedly.

"These little tricks won't change the situation."

Fary knew very well that if this continued it was only a matter of time before the goblins were destroyed by the undead.

The Undead will have another wave of reinforcements. Even if the goblins and the Farui block the next wave of reinforcements, it will only attract the attention of the mastermind behind the scenes and send more powerful forces here.

Under such repeated attacks, the goblins' casualties will only increase, and the replenishment speed will be far lower than the losses.

Then, there was the total collapse.

“I hope that team can be faster.”

Fari flew to the nest, preparing to create some more golems to make up for the lost combat power of the goblins. "Hello, I'm here to submit the task."

Reinhardt and his party entered the hall of the Adventurer's Guild in the town of Elek.

This is just a small adventurer's guild, and on weekdays it only has some low-level missions issued by the town's chamber of commerce, such as exterminating kobold bandits.

After the Shadow Crow Mercenaries took over the town, even these low-level quests disappeared, and the surrounding undead and remaining monster nests were swept away by the Shadow Crows. Now there are only a few second- and third-level adventurers in the Adventurer's Association Hall. Reinhardt heard them talking about leaving the town and going to other places to do quests.

"Task?"

The association's front desk staff didn't react for a moment, as no one had submitted a task in Ilek Town for some time.

"This is a mission contract."

The clerk took the mission contract handed over by Reinhardt very professionally.

"It's probably a task from somewhere else, and the results came here to submit."

Many quests involve multiple cities and regions, so it is not realistic to ask adventurers to return to the Adventurer's Guild to accept the quest and submit the quest.

With the power of the contract as a guarantee, submitting a mission to any Adventurer's Association can ensure that the mission is actually completed.

"Rescue Princess Lania from the dragon. Is there any progress in the mission?"

The staff member took out a log and prepared to record the progress of Reinhardt and his team's mission. Later, he would synchronize this progress to the mission bulletin board.

"Mission accomplished, she is Princess Lania."

Reinhardt pointed at Lania beside him and said calmly,
"Okay, the mission is progressing and completed. The mission target, Lan, is next to the adventurer..."

The association staff member suddenly raised his head and looked at Reinhard, then shifted his gaze to Lania beside him.

"If I heard correctly, you said mission accomplished?"

Reinhardt nodded.

"She is Princess Lania?"

The staff was still somewhat incredulous, although judging from the reaction of the mission contract, Reinhardt had indeed met the mission completion conditions. Rescue Princess Lania.

"Is there any other supporting evidence to prove that you did rescue the princess from the dragon?"

The staff still asked a few more questions in accordance with the regulations.

"of course."

Reinhardt picked up Krigo from the side and placed him on the table in front of the staff.

The clerk was just a clerk, and had never actually seen a monster, so he took a step back in fear. The platform was too high, and Krigor was too short, so he hadn't seen the goblin before.

"The Dragonborn Goblin, a servant of the evil dragon, is now a member of our adventuring team."

Reinhardt had become very skilled at "telling the truth," and the contract in the clerk's hand showed that what he said was true.

“Is this enough evidence?”

The clerk nodded blankly, preparing to mark the contract as completed.

"Wait a minute."

Reinhardt raised his hand and stopped the clerk.

"Before the mission is completed, there is one more additional progress regarding the mission."

Reinhardt glanced around. The other adventurers in the hall were paying attention to him, so he cleared his throat.

"During the mission, we discovered that Count Lannick was a vampire."
