Chapter 71 Escape
The Death Knight swung the sword in his hand lightly in the direction of Savrina. A bloody wind blew up, blowing away the biting chill brought by Savrina's spell.

"I remember you. You are Sir Rannick."

The Death Knight ignored Savrina in the air and turned his gaze to Rannick, who was struggling to get up from the ground in a dishevel.

"If I remember correctly, he is from the Lethos family and is the knight in charge of managing the Silonia Castle. Where are the other members of the Lethos family?"

Lannick knelt on one knee in front of the Death Knight.

"I am the only one left in the entire family."

The Death Knight nodded.

"That's right..."

The Death Knight was silent for a moment.

"Thank you for your hard work. I remember that the last time I saw you, you were only at level six, but now you are already level nine... No, you dropped from level ten to level nine?"

There was a hint of hatred in the Death Knight's originally calm tone.

Fary made a decision immediately - run away, it was obvious that they couldn't afford to offend this guy.

"Dragon, if you leave this place, you will live."

"No problem, let's leave now."

He raised his sword and thrust it heavily into the ground.

Rangnick lowered his head, his face full of guilt.

"Humans can't leave."

The Death Knight did not respond directly to Sir Lannick's request. He had a lot to explain to the knight, but obviously, these explanations could not be heard by outsiders.

But the undead on the ground did not make any move to clear the way.

"Unfortunately, I am dull and have not been able to make any further progress for two hundred years after reaching the tenth level."

The Death Knight finally set his sights on the two dragons in the sky. From the moment the Death Knight appeared, the battle was no longer important.

The Death Knight finally asked the question.

Waves of roars rang out, and the dead in the entire city stood up one by one, whether they were the Shadow Crow mercenaries who died in battle, the humans who were sacrificed in the square, or even the "dead" undead, they all stood up at the command of the Death Knight.

"I hope Lord Valachi will lead us to revive the dynasty."

Safrina spoke, already holding the crystal that Karinsus had given him in his claws.

The Death Knight did not move, but everyone present seemed to hear a sigh.

"So, why did you wake me up?"

A pyroblast exploded in the air, which was the agreed retreat signal.

“There’s not much I can do…”

"Go, retreat."

"What if I said no."

"The spell contained in the crystal in your hand is very powerful."

The Death Knight looked at Savrina. He could feel a terrifying power from the crystal.

"If I were hit by the spell contained in it, I would definitely be completely wiped out, without even a chance of resurrection. But..."

The Death Knight disappeared from Saffrina's sight.

"But no matter how powerful the attack is, it has to hit the target."

The Death Knight's voice appeared behind Safrina.

Then, a huge force came from behind, and Savrina fell to the ground.

The Death Knight did not kill her, and Savrina managed to keep her balance before she made contact with the ground.

The shouts and screams rang out again. Reinhardt and his party took advantage of the time when others were distracted by the appearance of the Death Knight to slip out of the encirclement and break out of the city.

"If you insist on not leaving, then I will have no choice but to slay the dragon."

The Death Knight began to get impatient as he looked at Farui who was standing in front of him.

Farui was very scared, but he still stood in front of the Death Knight.

He was not a dragon willing to fight to the death. If possible, he would rather lie on the pile of gold coins in his nest.

It's just that Reinhardt is more or less his "friend". Even though most of the time, Ferry only regards him as a potential stock that can be cashed out multiple times, a tool to obtain more treasures.

But Farry was not so cold-blooded as to watch his "friend" die while he ran away with his tail between his legs.

"You go and lead those people to break out."

Fari gave instructions to Safrina, who could open a gap and help the others retreat.

The Death Knight seemed to just want to drive away the two troublesome dragons and had no intention of killing them.

In this way, he can still try to maneuver around.

"Let's make a deal. If you let all of us go, I won't bother you anymore."

"Will you let someone who invaded your nest leave easily?"

The Death Knight's words made Farry tilt his head and think about it. Then he thought of those Reinhardts who had run headfirst into his new home.

“I really let it go.”

Farui's words made the Death Knight pause for a moment.

"How could a black dragon let intruders leave?"

The Death Knight shook his head and took another step forward. He didn't believe the nonsense coming out of the black dragon in front of him at all.

How could the cunning and cruel black dragon let go of the invaders in its lair?

"It seems that I need to teach you a lesson to make you behave yourself."

The Death Knight knelt down, then suddenly jumped up, and the next moment, he appeared in front of Farui. He did not use the sword in his hand, but punched Farui.

A mouthful of blood spurted out, and although Farui tried to dodge, the Death Knight's fist still hit his chest squarely.

The broken scales fell off. There was a burning pain in his chest, but Farui was secretly happy.

The Death Knight did not draw his sword, as he did not want to become a "Dragon Slayer" yet. He did not even use his full strength in this punch.

Not far away, Savrina was opening a gap to the outside of the city for the humans and goblins below, and more and more people were fleeing the city.

"Hey, can't we reconcile? Let us go, and I promise I will never bother you again."

Farui's breath attacked the Death Knight, who had just been punched on the back and was knocked to the side of the street. The Death Knight was about to bypass him to deal with the humans who were about to escape.

But this breath blocked the Death Knight's way, and then the annoying black dragon appeared in front of him again.

"One more time to stop them. Reinhardt and his men have already retreated, so it's about time for me to escape."

Fary glanced at the city gate from the corner of his eye. Except for the dead and injured mercenaries who were left behind, almost everyone else had evacuated the city.

However, a powerful pressure suddenly enveloped Fary.

He turned his head and looked at the Death Knight in front of him. He walked towards Farui step by step. Unlike before, the long sword in his hand was pointed diagonally downwards, showing a posture that he was ready to strike at any time.

His patience had worn thin.

The pressure was so strong that Farui seemed to be nailed to the spot, unable to move. He could only watch the Death Knight approach step by step.

But it seemed that he was having a hard time maintaining this kind of pressure. In this situation, he could only move towards Fari step by step.

"How to do?"

Farui looked at the Death Knight approaching and wanted to mobilize the power in his body to escape from here. However, the power in his body that was originally as easy to use as his arms and fingers now stagnated and clumps under the pressure, making it difficult to mobilize.

But soon, Farui discovered that there was a force that seemed unaffected.

That was the so-called power of faith coming from the goblins. Although, just like before, this power of faith only barely responded to Farui's mobilization.

"wrong."

The Death Knight saw Farui open his mouth, with only a tiny flame of almost no color inside.

He realized what it was and dodged to the side. The next moment, his entire arm was annihilated.

"The power of faith, how is it possible? How is it possible for a young black dragon to..."

The Death Knight looked at Farui, who had already flapped his wings and flew up, and in the blink of an eye he was out of the city.

"Chasing?"

After hesitating for just a moment, the Death Knight gave up the idea. He was able to mobilize the power of faith, even just a little bit. The thing before could never be an ordinary black dragon.
