Chapter 36: Mind Reading Ritual

Chapter 36: Mind Reading Ritual
Inside the safe house.

Five SHIELD agents were tied up tightly on the ground.

In order to ensure that the few people would not wake up, Steve Rogers was very considerate and punched another person.

In the empty room, Colin was busy.

"Yes, the candle should be placed right there, a little to the left, and a little further to the left."

"Very good, just put it there."

"Then you can light all the candles. Remember not to let them go out."

To be precise, it's not Colin who is busy, but Steve Rogers.

Under Colin's guidance, he arranged dozens of candles in a circle.

"Why do I always feel like you're doing some evil ritual?"

Steve Rogers looked at him, then squatted down silently and lit the candle with a flamethrower.

"Bring someone in."

The unique smell produced by the burning candle gradually spread in the room.

Steve Rogers didn't hesitate. He walked out of the house and brought in one of the agents who was tied up like a dumpling.

Colin sat cross-legged on the outskirts of the candles and tilted his head.

This is a scene that often appears in horror movies.

Steve Rogers stood up and couldn't help but complain.

Steve Rogers seemed to have seen these scenes.

Looking at his appearance, Colin couldn't help but smile.

"If this ceremony can answer all the confusion in your heart."

A dim room, a lit candle, drawn symbols, and liquid in Colin's hands.

"Put him in the center of the candle."

This alone makes me better than many people.

"Okay Mr. Wizard, do you have any other instructions?"

"So you still think this ritual is evil?"

This was also what he liked most about Steve Rogers, this man was quiet and could keep secrets.

His actions already represented his answer.

Steve Rogers carefully lit all the candles.

The flames that could be blown away by the slightest wind now stood still.

Colin placed the prepared hydrosol in the designated location and raised an eyebrow at Steve Rogers.

After putting it away, Steve Rogers keenly noticed something.

It's like being isolated in another world.

"Is this okay?"

Steve Rogers looked at Colin.

Colin nodded and pointed to the chair next to him, motioning him to sit over there.

After Steve Rogers sat down, Colin spoke.

"Next, no matter what you see, don't make a sound."

"Don't be surprised, don't panic, and don't move."

"You can only speak after I tell you that you can."

"If anything goes wrong because of you, I will abandon you and run away immediately, understand?"

Colin looked serious.

Of course, there are no such rules for this ceremony, these are all made up by Colin himself.

How can I let Steve Rogers know how difficult it is for him without making up some serious-sounding words?
"clear."

Steve Rogers nodded with an equally serious look.

Although he didn't know what Colin was going to do, he could only choose to trust Colin now.

Seeing Steve Rogers sitting upright, Colin suppressed the urge to curl his lips and turned his gaze to the unconscious agent.

As Colin's spirituality gradually spread, the candles arranged in a circle began to sway slightly.

Not only that, in Steve Rogers' sight, he could clearly see that the symbols carved on the ground also lit up at this moment.

He looked at Colin beside him, but at this moment Colin closed his eyes and muttered to himself.

So, he could only look at the candle again.

However, something even more surprising happened to him.

The agent who was originally in a coma suddenly sat up.

Subconsciously, Steve Rogers was about to take a defensive stance, but he suddenly remembered what Colin had said to him before, and stopped himself from moving.

Ah, very good.

Although Colin closed his eyes, he felt Steve Rogers' movements through his spirituality.

Just believe it.

"Come, the mind-body that lies deep within the soul."

"Obey my command and appear before me!"

Well, this set of words was also made up by Colin himself.

But Colin's attire and his words made him look a bit like a pastor.

A priest who has fallen into hell.

hum.

Suddenly, a very quarrelsome chirping sound appeared in Steve Rogers' ears.

He closed his eyes, as if trying to resist the sound.

But the sound came and went quickly. In just a few seconds, the sound disappeared.

When Steve Rogers opened his eyes again, the scene in front of him shocked him.

An identical person appeared above the head of the agent sitting in the middle of the candle!
The person floating above his head was emitting a faint light, and even his clothes were exactly the same.

However, that gaze seemed a little dull.

Is this the soul of this person?

"call"

Just then, Colin let out a breath.

Steve Rogers looked at Colin, only to see Colin nod slightly.

"Now you can ask your questions."

"In this state, he won't lie no matter what you ask him."

Colin said.

Hearing this, Steve Rogers took a deep breath.

He tried hard to calm the turmoil in his heart.

Everything that just happened was something he had never imagined in his decades of life.

The most outrageous thing he had ever experienced was turning him from a thin man into a strong man.

He had only seen scenes like this in some movies.

Science can't explain what this is!
"your name."

But Steve Rogers didn't hesitate for long.

He knows the priorities.

Everyone has their own secrets, including him.

If Colin didn't say anything, he wouldn't ask. Even if he wanted to ask, he would have to wait until everything was over.

"George Leonard."

It was the mind floating in the air that spoke.

"What organization do you belong to?"

Steve Rogers continued to ask.

"Hydra, Ghost Squad."

When the word "Hydra" came out, Steve Rogers stood up directly from his chair.

He looked at the mental entity with disbelief, then turned to look at Colin.

Even at this moment, he could feel his brain suddenly go blank.

"Why are you looking at me? I'm not from Hydra."

Colin curled his lips. Although Hydra wanted to recruit him, he hadn't agreed yet.

Steve Rogers' chest kept rising and falling, and his rapid breathing could be clearly heard in the silent room.

The thing he was most proud of in his life was destroying John Schmidt, the founder of Hydra.

That's the Red Skull.

And it was because of the death of Red Skull that Hydra was subsequently destroyed.

However, when he heard this familiar name again, a complex emotion appeared in Steve Rogers' heart.

Didn't he do anything?
