Chapter 1 Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf

Chapter 1 Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf

The late spring sunshine was warm, illuminating the dark forest. A stream ran through the forest, its banks covered with green grass; the breeze blew through the forest, making waves in the pine trees.

Dry pine needles drifted down and landed on the road beside the stream; during the entire spring, the fallen pine needles had spread out along the road like a soft carpet.

A petite figure wearing a red hat walked along the road on the "carpet". When she saw the small wooden house under three big trees on the roadside in the distance, she laughed a series of crisp laughter, and even her steps became cheerful; she jumped and ran towards the wooden house with a basket in her hand.

"Grandma, open the door quickly, Little Red Riding Hood is here to see you... Hey, the door is not closed?"

When the little girl walked in and said "Good morning" loudly, she didn't notice that there was a little boy about her age standing against the wall at the back of the house. The boy was dressed neatly, and his dress was out of tune with this era. He held a quill in his hand and wrote and drew in the air.

The quill pen is silvery white, with a faint white glow on the feathers; the ink at the tip of the pen is not black, but golden yellow. Strands of golden threads fall from the tip of the pen, forming strokes that float in the air.

In front of the little boy, there was a large area of golden light, with long paragraphs of text written on it:
“It is generally believed that Aesop of ancient Greece was a fable writer, which is not wrong. But Mr. Aesop actually had another identity - he was a wizard obsessed with the study of magical animals.

During his research, he came up with an absurd idea: to give magical animals the ability to speak so that he could communicate with them more easily. For this reason, he began crazy magic experiments.

At this point, the little boy paused for a moment, wiped the beads of sweat from his forehead, and breathed a sigh of relief silently. It seemed that writing these golden words in the air was a very strenuous task.

He raised his head, his eyes passed over the golden words in front of him, and looked up at the sky above his head.

The sky was clear and blue, with only a few leisurely white clouds hanging on the treetops in the distance. The dense forest cut the sunlight into pieces, and it was already mottled when it fell to the ground.

In the eyes of ordinary people, this is a beautiful scenery in late spring; but in the eyes of the little boy, what he sees is another doomsday scene.

A huge planet stretched across the sky, almost blocking out the entire sky within sight; and as time went by, the planet was getting bigger every second. In fact, it was not that the planet was getting bigger, but that it was rapidly approaching the world - or planet - under the boy's feet.

Soon, the oceans, land, mountains and plateaus on the surface of the opposite planet became clearly visible.

The boy knew that it would not be long before the two planets would either experience a devastating collision or merge into one another like water and milk, forming a new world.

What he has to do is to prevent collision and promote fusion.

At this time, through the wall, the conversation between the "grandparents" in the room could be faintly heard:

"Grandma, why are your ears so big?"

"In order to listen to you better, my dear."

"But grandma, why are your eyes so big?"

"To see you more clearly, dear."

The conversation did not disturb the little boy's thoughts, as if he was unaware of the cannibalism that was about to happen in the hut across the wall. He began to write with the pen again, and new golden words gushed out from the tip of the pen.

"From the outset, it was obviously dangerous to experiment on magical animals. So Aesop first experimented on ordinary animals and achieved great success; for this reason, he even used talking animals as the protagonists in many of his fables."

"Readers thought he was using animals to describe people, but they didn't realize he was showing off his own magical research results. This new magic and related transformation technologies have a unified name: Beasts Return to Spirituality."

The little boy's hand holding the pen was shaking slightly, and sweat soaked his shirt; every time he wrote a word, he gasped heavily, and finally had to stop writing again.

The physical fatigue was false, it was more of a mental exhaustion. Each golden word was a gathering of spiritual will, the product of his overcoming countless distractions to write clearly.

The little boy raised his head, his short black hair soaked with sweat and stuck to his scalp; his eyes were still on the planet above his head. The planet was flying closer than before, and now he could not only distinguish the topography over there, but he could even see the outline of the city.

Something even more terrifying happened right next to the little boy. Countless sharp explosions rang in his ears, and dense spider-web-like cracks appeared in the air and on the ground, extending in all directions.

These cracks are the product of the conflicting logic of two worldviews - one is the Grimm's fairy tale world where he lives, and the other is the magical story world flying overhead.

Even in the magical world, there are only werewolves at most, but it is not easy for a big bad wolf that can speak human language, think like humans and communicate with humans to appear. The "wolf grandmother" in the house is the biggest symbol of the contradiction between the fairy tale world and the magical world.

Because of a fundamental logical contradiction, the two worlds will collide with each other in the next moment and be completely shattered like glass.

However, only the little boy could see all this.

The big bad wolf who had just swallowed Little Red Riding Hood in the cottage had no idea that a crisis was coming; the wolf grandmother was lying back on the bed, burping and with a bloated belly, preparing to take a nap to digest the food.

The hunter who was walking along the road outside the forest towards the cabin would not have known that danger was coming; the burly man was looking around deep into the woods, trying to find prey.

The only little boy who could see the crisis gritted his teeth, rubbed his swollen and dizzy forehead, picked up the pen and continued writing; he had to make up a reason - or history, so that a wolf who could speak human language would appear in the magical world in a logical way.

"The magic created by Aesop has been passed down for a long time. During the Renaissance, it became a prominent subject in the field of magic research. Many animals that have undergone magical transformation roamed the world, and were even written into fairy tales and various legends by Muggles - such as the big bad wolf in Little Red Riding Hood."

"It is clear that this phenomenon has greatly increased the risk of exposure to the wizarding community."

When he wrote here, the tip of the little boy's pen paused slightly, as if he was still unsatisfied; but the increasingly frequent explosion sounds in his ears kept urging and warning him.

The distance between the two worlds is too close, the logical contradiction and conflict has reached a limit, and the collision of worlds is imminent.

In desperation, the little boy put down his pen temporarily, "lifted" the golden words in front of him with both hands and raised them with all his strength; a large amount of golden light shot up into the sky, toward the planet that was close at the zenith, and quickly sank into the star and disappeared.

At the moment the golden light disappeared, the space cracks that were originally dense between heaven and earth seemed to be wiped out by an invisible giant hand, and no trace of them could be seen anymore.

The little boy looked up and saw that the planet above his head suddenly slowed down, approaching at a speed that was barely noticeable to the naked eye and was almost hovering.

At this time, the huge star only used one-third of its volume to cover the entire sky. The boy not only recognized the outline of the European continent from the surface of the planet, but could even easily locate the locations of many major cities such as London, Paris, Berlin, and Rome.

It is obvious that the planet opposite is the familiar home of mankind; it is both the earth and the magical world - a magical world artificially created based on the framework of the Harry Potter world.

The boy looked at the motionless earth and frowned slightly, because the current state of the earth did not meet his expectations. This showed that although he had solved the fundamental logical contradiction, there were still some flaws that were hindering the integration of the two worlds.

At the end of the road, the hunter was already in sight. He was wearing a coarse linen shirt and a patchwork of leftover fur. He was tall and sturdy, carrying an old-fashioned musket, a short bow, a hunting knife, and a quiver.

So the little boy took a deep breath, raised his slightly trembling hand, and started writing again: "It was not until the implementation of the Statute of Secrecy became stricter that such experiments that might reveal the magic world were strictly prohibited. Aurors searched everywhere for wizards who violated the law and animals that were illegally modified. The magically modified creatures that were killed piled up like a mountain, and the Ministry of Magic once made a lot of money by selling animal fur."

After writing these two paragraphs, the little boy was sweating profusely and was almost exhausted. He leaned against the back wall of the wooden house, without even the strength to raise his hand. He could only shake his fingers weakly at the golden words.

The golden characters shattered immediately, and bits of golden light fell like raindrops, seeping into the ground beneath their feet.

A golden light that was invisible and unknown to others spread out in all directions along the ground, starting from the little boy's feet.

Wherever the golden light reached, the only person who changed was the hunter on the road.

Starting from the feet, the rough leather boots turned into gorgeous pointed shoes with raised front corners, and the leather coat that was originally fitted turned into an inappropriate wide jacket. This is a wide coat, with a long skirt-like hem that drags down to below the knees, and is repeatedly scraped by the weeds on the roadside.

The hunter still had all his weapons, but compared to the neat and convenient way of wearing them, all the weapons were placed at an angle that was extremely inconvenient to use. The right side of his waist, closest to the hunter's right hand, was empty, with nothing but a half-broken wooden stick in his pocket.

Anyone with a discerning eye can tell from this inappropriate outfit that this is a fake hunter in disguise.

Except for the hunter's clothing, it seemed that the golden light had no effect on anything. But the little boy who saw the hunter's changes knew that the golden light had successfully played a role, and the history he wrote had been "commonly recognized" by both worlds.

However, most of the changes are hidden in the dark and unknown to the public; for example, the hunter in the original story has been rewritten into a wizard...

When I looked up again, the "Earth" at the zenith changed from its slow state, accelerated again, and crashed down.

The heavy earth rushed towards him, and the little boy had the illusion that he was falling freely towards the ground without a parachute.

The huge celestial collision that was supposed to happen was effectively prevented, and the fusion of the two worlds was almost a foregone conclusion; when the huge earth fell, it seemed to only bring up an imperceptible breeze, and then merged into one with the current earth.

Facing the breeze, the hunter walked into the cabin and took out a small wooden stick from his pocket.

The little boy leaned against the back wall and listened attentively. After a while, the hunter's deep and powerful voice came from the house.

"Collapse!"

"Split into pieces!"

"Oh my god, the child is still alive. Healed! Healed!"

"No, I'm not proficient in healing magic."

Then the "Hunter" hurried out and fired three sparks into the sky. Soon, two flying brooms carrying two wizards fell from the sky and rushed into the house.

The little boy soon heard an argument coming from inside the house.

"Our nice guy is starting to act like a nice guy again."

"These are two lives. Besides, the wolf has already been caught."

"Just two Muggles."

"Muggle lives are lives too."

"When the Muggles staked my aunt to the stake, they never considered that wizards' lives are lives too."

"It wasn't this old lady and the little girl who burned your aunt to death."

"That's enough. If you want to quarrel, go outside and do it. Don't bother me! Heal as before... Regenerate flesh and blood..."

"Thanks to Merlin, after this wolf was transformed, the bite force of its teeth was greatly reduced, so it did not chew the victim repeatedly, but chose to swallow it raw like a snake."

"Wait, what are you going to do?"

"Just in case, you forgot the most important thing. You have to let them remember that it was the hunter who saved them, not the wizard. Oblivion is empty, oblivion is empty. Fortunately, they are still in a coma, so it will be much easier to reconstruct their memories."

"Okay, take the wolf with you. We should go back and report."

"Wait a minute, Muggle clothes are really uncomfortable to wear. I tripped three times, no, four times on this journey."

"Is it possible that you are wearing the wrong clothes?"

"Impossible. I have been observing in Muggle towns for a long time and many people dress like this."

The noisy chattering sound flew farther and farther away on the flying broom.

A portal quietly opened beside the boy, with a holy and warm white light flashing on the door. The boy smiled indifferently, but ignored it. Instead, he straightened his weak legs and picked up the quill in his hand again.

After all this effort, I finally solved the logical contradiction of "why animals can speak human language", but I haven't gained any benefit yet. Why should I leave in a hurry?

The pointed tip of the pen moved slowly again.

"After centuries of secrecy, the art created by Aesop is now believed to be completely lost. Mr. Scamander, a renowned expert on magical creatures, has made many inquiries but has been unable to restore this magical magic.

Although there are rumors that the famous wizard family, the Forresters, have kept the only record of the relevant magic, outsiders have never been able to confirm it. "

After writing these two paragraphs, the boy collapsed to the ground completely; the golden words fell to the ground as before, and also did not cause any changes.

The Black Forest and the cabin were still as quiet as usual, and the grandparents and grandchildren in the cabin continued to sleep. Except for the little boy who wrote the words, no one knew what changes had taken place in the world.

The boy didn't delay any longer and almost crawled through the portal using his hands and feet.
