Chapter 255: The First Premise of the “Unknown” Event

Chapter 255 The First Premise of the "Unknown" Event

Lin You and others did not clean up the mess after the war, but just let Helena take the Spear of Longinus and left.

The methane explosion caused by the little phoenix earlier, coupled with the underground tremors caused by the battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, must have alerted the local police; if the wizarding population was not sparse, the Aurors from the Magical Congress of the United States would probably have smelled the scent and come over.

Now that the battle is over, it is a good opportunity to remove the Muggle-repelling spells set up on the periphery and let the police in to clean up the mess; the Muggles cannot accurately understand what happened in the sewer, and by the time the knowledgeable American wizards arrive, the scene has already been almost destroyed by the Muggle police, and Lin You and his men have disappeared without a trace.

When they withdrew from the battlefield, they saw Charlotte and O'Dimm still at the original fork in the road; although the Mirror Master's freedom of movement was still restricted, the two sides did not seem to be at loggerheads, but rather seemed to be having a pleasant conversation.

This was mainly the result of Master Mirror's careful choice of words and deliberate attempts to make friends.

In terms of vision and knowledge, the two are far apart; O'Dimm is almost overwhelming Charlotte in every aspect. Apart from anything else, Charlotte is far behind the Mirror Master in terms of the correct understanding of the illusory dimension.

Maybe it was because the Demon Hunter world itself was not big enough, but O'Dimm easily saw through the truth of the virtual dimension; and Charlotte, whose strength was similar to his, although she was the mother of Lucifer's clone, knew nothing about the biggest truth of the world.

The difference aroused Lin You's curiosity, as he felt that he could get a glimpse into the impact of the fundamental differences in the world on individuals.

However, now is obviously not a good time to do research.

"I'll let you go, and you won't get involved in this 'unknown' incident in any way until I confirm that it's over." Lin You looked at O'Dimm and said nothing more. "This is considered a contract between you and me. Deal?"

Master Mirror answered very happily: "Deal!"

Lin You said to Charlotte again: "I will fulfill our agreement and find your son in a week at most. Where should I go to find you then, or should you come to find me?"

"I'll come find you in a week; I know where the Forester family is." Charlotte's answer was just as simple, and even by the standards of demons, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it reserved; although she had the absolutely open lifestyle of the demon tribe, she wouldn't flirt with a ten-year-old child. After all, she was the mother of Lucifer's incarnation, not a lowly succubus.

Then there was the little phoenix Phoenix, who almost immediately drew a line between herself and Constantine after expelling the two demons, and refused to stay with him no matter what.

In the words of this kid, expelling the two demons would be considered fulfilling the agreement, and from now on, he and Constantine would have nothing to owe each other. Moreover, Hell Detective always deals with hell, demons, and the like, and he has been in and out of hell for thousands of years, and he has long been impatient with those disgusting guys, and he wants to vomit at the smell; now that he has finally returned to the human world, he naturally wants to have fun in the human world.

Phoenix finally grabbed Lin You and kept asking, "You said that the headmaster of Hogwarts has a phoenix with him. Is that true? If I want to see it, how can I get there?"

Then he got the address of Hogwarts from Lin You, cheered, and then with a flash of fire, he ran away without a trace.

As for Constantine who was humiliated by the little phoenix, just as he said before, he planned to stay in the United States for a while; unless Dumbledore confirmed to invite him to be the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts in the next academic year, Mr. Hellblazer would never return to the UK and offend the head of the Auror Office.

So, in the end, only Lady Helena and Lin You returned to Europe together. It was just that Earl Goff returned to London, while the archaeologists had to move to Italy; although the cardinal who issued the treasure hunt was a demon in disguise, the Spear of Longinus was a church relic after all, and it had to be returned to the Vatican Church in the end.

This is also in line with the consistent purpose of Ms. Helena's famous explorer godfather; archaeologists and explorers should have their own professional qualities and should not degenerate into tomb robbers and bandits.

After returning to Forrest Manor, Lin You went straight into the library and in the blink of an eye he arrived at the Garden of Eden.

God stood in the empty wilderness, looking up at the sky; the writer could guess that he was observing the world. "The unknown is not over yet, and the result is still unknown."

Lin You glanced up, the sky was pitch black and empty, nothing was visible. He asked God: "You have been looking for so long, have you figured out the rules of the unknown? When I was in the big world before, I was trembling with fear, afraid of making mistakes."

"The rules are vague and specious. I can't be sure for now." God looked thoughtful. "What I can be sure of at the moment is that it is one of the prerequisites that led to the occurrence of the 'unknown'."

"Precondition, or just one of them?" Lin You frowned, feeling a little annoyed; no matter in his past life or this life, he didn't like this kind of vague work task very much.

"Yes, one of them, and the only one that has been confirmed so far."

"what is it then?"

"Time." God finally withdrew his gaze from the sky, "All the 'unknowns' will inevitably happen after the current time point in the big world."

"The current time point is the end of 1992, and next week is New Year's Day 1993. Is this what you mean by 'the current time'?" Lin You seemed to be thinking about something.

"Yes." God nodded slightly. "Stories that are integrated into the big world will evolve on their own outside of what is written by the quill pen. If the evolving story happens before the 'present', it will inevitably be affected by the subconscious of the writer, and the 'unknown' cannot be born."

Lin You was puzzled: "Doesn't that mean that if we integrate those stories that happened in 1993 or later now, a new 'unknown' will be born immediately?"

"In theory, that's right." God nodded and shook his head, "But the 'unknown' must happen after the original story ends."

"That sounds a bit awkward." Lin You said with a bitter face.

"Let me give you an example. Do you still remember your favorite game in your previous life?"

"Which one are you talking about? The Witcher or Grand Theft Auto? Romance of the Three Kingdoms or Taiko?" This question really made Lin You embarrassed, because he himself couldn't tell the answer.

God smiled calmly: "Forget it, let's use Grand Theft Auto as an example. You played the fourth generation of this game, and the main storyline took place in 2008, right?"

"correct."

"Then we can be sure that if the story of the fourth-generation game is integrated into the larger world, and the characters in the related stories have the opportunity to develop 'unknown' events, then it must happen sometime after the end of the main story of the game, and not before."

Lin You suddenly realized and asked again: "If I integrate this game story into the big world now, do I have to wait until the big world reaches 2008 before I have the chance to encounter the 'unknown' events related to this game?"

"You seem to understand very quickly; that's right."
