Falsifying history is good business

Chapter 454 Killing Drama Conflict

In the original story of "Harry Potter", the rough and flawed world background design is matched by the ingenious plot conception and the ups and downs of conflicts.

While the overall logic of the story was shattered, the dramatic conflict of the story reached a peak. The final result was that although the righteous side won the final victory, a great deal of luck was involved in the process.

To what extent is luck involved?
It means that after reading the whole story, you would be embarrassed to say things like "justice will prevail over evil"; it should be changed to "the affirmative side must have better luck than the negative side", or "love is the greatest power, but the source of its power is luck", or "people who have love will never have bad luck".

Not to mention the old wand that accidentally recognized its master, the diadem that was found at the last moment, and Nagini, the last Horcrux that the insane Voldemort sent to the decisive battlefield; even the ingenious plot design of using Voldemort to destroy the soul fragments in Harry Potter's body, if the author had not deliberately arranged for Mrs. Malfoy to check Harry's "corpse", if a Death Eater had gone there instead, the "Boy Who Lived" would have been in real trouble.

What Lin You has to do now is to kill the drama in the original story that is supported by the halos of various protagonists, implement the saying "justice will prevail over evil" from the source, and try to speed up the plot timeline to its end.

"In fact, I cannot understand what Voldemort did. Most Horcruxes are well-known magic items. The finished Horcruxes are either given to believers or placed in places of great commemorative significance to themselves. Why didn't he just add a signpost on it?" Earl Goff said sarcastically, "If I were Voldemort, after making the Horcrux, I would find an uninhabited area and bury the Horcrux a thousand meters underground. I would not leave any marks or magical protections, and even erase my own memory to ensure that no one in the world could find it."

Dumbledore frowned slightly, then smiled: "Tom's character won't allow him to do that. He is afraid of death, so he is extremely insecure. Whether it is handed over to believers or stored in a secret place, he will not allow the Horcrux to escape his control."

Lin You smiled and said, "So character determines destiny? Then the next step in finding the remaining Horcruxes must also start from Voldemort's character; on the one hand, the people he trusts, and on the other hand, the places he cares about."

"The number of people he trusts is probably very limited," Lupin said in a slow and powerful tone, showing that he had thought it over carefully. "If it was more than ten years ago, the Dark Lord might have felt that many people around him were trustworthy. Even Malfoy was given a Horcrux. But as for the current Dark Lord, after experiencing a failure and the betrayal of the Death Eaters, there are probably not many people he can really trust... Barty Jr. might be one of them?"

"Given the current situation, it is better to keep it in Barty Jr.'s hands." Lin You reminded with a joking tone, "Let's assume that Voldemort already knows that several Horcruxes have been found, then he will definitely pay more attention to the safety of the remaining Horcruxes. Given his personality, it is most likely that he will keep them personally."

Dumbledore nodded, supporting Lin You's guess: "There is also the search for special places. Previously it was the old house of his maternal family, and the 'childhood secret base' when he lived in the orphanage; where else could it be next?"

"His father's side of the family?" Sirius asked with an unreliable idea.

Dumbledore shook his head and said, "I have already looked for it, and I don't think Tom would have much affection for his half-Muggle blood. On the contrary, he only hates that he can't get rid of it."

"Could it be... Hogwarts?" Harry Potter, who had been listening for a long time and acting as an invisible person for a long time, couldn't help but interrupt. As soon as he opened his mouth, everyone's eyes focused on him, which frightened him and made him look a little more embarrassed.

"Go on, Harry." Sirius patted his godson's shoulder, as if he was encouraging mischief rather than expressing an opinion.

Seeing the encouragement and expectation in everyone's eyes, Harry Potter calmed down a little, but still stuttered when he spoke: "I mean, Hogwarts is also one of the most meaningful places for Voldemort... right?"

"A lonely child who has lived in an orphanage since birth and is regarded as a freak or something else by his peers, suddenly receives an admission notice from a magic school, and from then on embarks on another path and makes a big turn in his life - it makes sense!" Lin You helped Harry Potter to expand the explanation.

Dumbledore smiled approvingly and asked, "How did you come up with that, Harry?"

"Because, because that's what I think, Hogwarts is my real home." Harry Potter answered awkwardly, and with just one sentence, he made the elders sigh.

Among the people present, only Lin You was not affected by this mood.

How pitiful can a child who sleeps in a cupboard in a middle-class neighborhood be more pitiful than a child who has no house to live in a war zone and doesn't even have the chance to grow up?
"Then there are two things to do next. One is to find a suitable place to hide things within the Hogwarts school." Lin You deliberately put some emphasis on the words "a place to hide things". "The second thing is to lure Voldemort out. Professor Dumbledore, it seems that you can use more methods, not just a pair of gloves."

"Then what do you do?" Sirius asked unhappily, "We do both of these things, so what do you do?"

"Me? At the moment, my most important task is of course to supervise you to complete these two tasks!"

"That's it?" Sirius growled indignantly.

"What else? Once you have done these two things, I can personally come out and beat Voldemort to death in the name of maintaining a stable balance between the wizarding world and the Muggle world." Lin You squinted at the unconvinced big black dog, "Otherwise, can we switch places? I'll go find the Horcruxes, and you'll be responsible for fighting Voldemort in the future?"

"Who's afraid of him?" How could Sirius stand the provocation?

“Then come and recite with me - Fu, Di, Mo! Your godson is much braver than you!” It was much easier for Lin You to tease him than to tease a dog. It was a rare relief from the countless troubles he had recently.

In the end, it took the combined efforts of Dumbledore and Lupin, along with the efforts of Sirius' godson, to drag away the swearing Mr. Padfoot.

The four Gryffindors left, and Forrester Manor returned to peace. As Lin You said, until Voldemort himself showed up, the matter had basically nothing to do with him.

Finding the Room of Requirement is not difficult; in the original story, the house-elf Dobby revealed the existence of the Room of Requirement to Lin You, and the time is in the next new school year.

For the house elves, the Room of Requirement is almost an open secret; as for Headmaster Dumbledore, as long as there is an investigation direction, the relevant clues will be delivered to him one day. Even if there is a problem on Dumbledore's side, with Dobby's admiration for Harry, he will reveal the news to the boy who lived sooner or later.

In the original story, Harry Potter and a group of teenagers cracked the basic rules of the appearance of the Room of Requirement; now with Dumbledore's direct intervention, the time to uncover the secret will be even shorter.

Relatively speaking, it was even more difficult to lure Voldemort out of his hiding place. It was definitely not enough for Dumbledore to just pretend to be injured or weak.

Fish will take the bait because they are greedy for the bait; what kind of bait will Voldemort be greedy for? As soon as he thought of this question, a name emerged in Lin You's mind: "The Hanged Man?" After being "possessed" by the source of black magic, and now facing the huge pressure from the Order of the Phoenix, the Ministry of Magic and even the Forrester family, Voldemort must be more eager for the power of the "Hanged Man".

Character determines destiny!

Blindly pursuing power and believing in violence and power are the deep-rooted weaknesses in Voldemort's character.

"Should we find a suitable opportunity to secretly let the Hanged Man take action?" Lin You pondered in his heart, "Let the intelligence department investigate as soon as possible! If we can directly find clues to the whereabouts of Voldemort and the Death Eaters, we should not let the uncontrollable factor of the Hanged Man enter the game."

The wizarding world of the big world is not the wizarding world in the original Harry Potter novel.

In the original story, there is only a corrupt, inefficient, and often unhelpful Ministry of Magic; in the struggle between the good and the evil, the government's public power is either absent or makes things worse. But in today's world, there is a public power institution whose influence, execution, and combat effectiveness far exceed that of the Ministry of Magic.

In other words, Lin You was too lazy to interfere with the plot changes before, otherwise Sirius, who escaped from prison that year, might not have had the opportunity to return to Hogwarts.

Now, a large intelligence network has been quietly spread out; it not only covers the magical world, but also completely covers the spatial boundary between wizards and Muggles.

Perhaps the magical prowess of those spies in the intelligence agencies might not be as strong as that of Aurors, and many of them are just Squibs or even Muggles, but they are far superior to their counterparts in the wizarding world in terms of the organizational system of the intelligence agencies.

Perhaps many spies will encounter life-threatening dangers in the process of tracking down clues, but their casualties or disappearances themselves are clues; as long as there are enough people, intelligence agencies can even use the cost of human lives to find out the main areas of activity of Voldemort and the Death Eaters.

Things developed just as Lin You expected. The search inside Hogwarts made progress quickly. In Lupin's words when he came back to report, "We found a secret room in the castle that had never been discovered before. It was filled with items that the teachers and students of the school had tried to discard or hide over the past thousand years. It looked like a maze larger than the final of the Triwizard Tournament."

As soon as he heard this description, Lin You knew that they had found the Room of Requirement.

"The latest collection found in the Chamber of Secrets turned out to be the empty bottles hidden by Divination Professor Trelawney. But when Dumbledore asked her about it, the professor couldn't explain how she found the Chamber of Secrets. According to her, whenever there were too many empty bottles in her room and she wanted to find a place to discard them, an empty room would appear in the corridor. She always thought that the room was already in the corridor and never noticed that the door of the room had disappeared."

As the contact person that Lin You specially left in the school and the wizarding world, Lupin's report was very detailed.
"Dumbledore asked the house-elves to clean up the clutter in the room; fortunately, it is summer vacation now, and the house-elves do not need to deal with the students' daily chores, so there are enough people to do this."

Lin You criticized Dumbledore's behavior: "Many students stay at school even during Christmas. For house-elves, summer vacation is the only vacation. Dumbledore actually asked them to work overtime, and the workload is so huge?"

"They are house elves," Lupin reminded him. "We didn't see it with our own eyes, but according to the elves working in the Chamber of Secrets, many of them were so excited that they burst into tears when they learned that there would be jobs to fill their free time during the summer vacation."

Lin You couldn't help but shake his head and sigh: "Why don't all my employees become house-elves?"

Lupin's face twitched. Just thinking about the physical difference between himself and the house-elf, he felt that he could not accept this "change".

As they were talking, they heard a clear and cheerful laughter coming from afar; Minerva ran very fast on her short legs and rushed in from outside the door, holding a silver gem in her hand and holding it in front of Lin You like offering a treasure.

Another holy gemstone that exudes the aura of the microcosm.

"Hmm? Silver armor?" Lin You stretched out his hand and picked up the little girl. His heart moved slightly when he looked at the gem of the armor.

Ever since Minerva awakened her divinity, the gemstones of the sacred cloth have "awoke" one after another; however, the ones that "awoke" first were all bronze cloths, and the surface of the gemstones exuded a relatively dull golden color - such as the Cygnus gemstone given to Fleur Delacour by the little girl.

But now the surface of the gem in Minerva's hand was shining brightly with a dazzling silver color.

"This should be the first silver holy garment of 'Awakening'?" Lin You's gaze passed through the surface of the gem and went straight to the core; what came into view was a phantom that looked like an altar.

There is no mistake, the silver holy cloth on the altar.

The divinity in Minerva is further awakening, although the little girl herself does not understand what this means. When the "new gem" appears, she only wants to find her brother to offer the treasure.

"Hello, Miss Minerva." Lupin looked at the little girl who had the same name as the dean of his college, his face full of gentle smiles.

The little girl only had her brother in her eyes. She only realized there was someone beside her when she heard the voice. Her little brain was confused for a moment and she forgot who the middle-aged man in front of her was.

Fortunately, the old butler followed in; as Minerva grew older, the old butler's old legs could no longer keep up with the lively little girl. He followed in and saved the little girl: "This is Mr. Remus Lupin, you haven't seen him before, have you?"

"Yes, this is the first time Miss Minerva and I have met officially." Lupin's kind and gentle nature easily pleases children, and now he is making up for the "forgetful" Minerva, so it is not surprising that the little girl has a good impression of him.

As long as the little girl is happy, her "tycoon" nature will be fully revealed; she stretched out her finger and a gem appeared out of thin air, as if embedded in Lupin's chest. (End of this chapter)
