Chapter 47 Take my conditions with you

Chapter 47 Take My Conditions Back
The water in the bathroom was gurgling, and after a long while, Lin You finally came out. He had taken off his bloodstained coat, and was only wearing a white shirt with a dark blue vest on the outside, wiping the water droplets on his hands with a white towel.

Looking at the expressionless Count Goff, Ko Gott had the illusion that he couldn't control his urination.

Has he already killed Lacibi and is now going to kill me to silence me?

Ko Gort wanted to remind him loudly that I came to Forrester Manor because I was sent by the Gringotts board of directors. Whether I was dead or missing, you would not be able to escape suspicion. But the black magic on his mouth made him unable to make a sound.

"During the fifteen minutes I was away, I had a very effective and profound discussion with your colleagues at Gringotts." Lin You wiped his hands carefully and spoke slowly, "But I was always thinking about the fifteen-minute agreement with Mr. Gort, so I left in a hurry. Now, I have no choice but to entrust you, Mr. Gort, to take my request back to your colleagues."

Lin You threw down the towel and sat back in the chair opposite Ko Gort; the two seemed to have resumed their equal conversation.

However, the fairy elder was still tied firmly to the chair, so this conversation could only be regarded as Lin You’s unilateral notification.

"After repeated consideration, I also think that the terms of the transaction previously agreed upon with Elder Lacibi need to be modified. First, the gold will still be sold at the market price, which will not change because I am a businessman of integrity; second, you must pay me an equal amount of gold galleons according to the total value of this gold.

That's right, the commission is no longer the 30% agreed upon before, now I want 100%. You take this condition back and give me an answer after you have discussed it."

As Lin You finished speaking, Ke Gort suddenly found that his body had regained its freedom and his mouth opened.

He was eager to speak, wanting to argue with the other party about this new condition, but the boy opposite made a "hush" gesture to silence him, which made the goblin elder shudder; after a while, he realized that his mouth was not closed again, but all the words he wanted to say before were blocked in his throat.

Lin You did not use magic, nor did he seal Ko Goth's mouth; but Count Goff's cold expression and gaze successfully sealed the goblin elder's courage to continue arguing.

Ko Gort jumped down from his chair and ran to the fireplace, following his rational instinct; he just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

"I forgot to tell you." Lin You's lazy voice sounded behind the goblin, "Gringotts' fireplace is temporarily unusable; you can only use the public fireplace in Diagon Alley."

The goblin elder paused unconsciously, as if he took some time to digest the meaning of this sentence; then he ran into the fireplace again and obediently shouted "Diagon Alley".

After the green light dimmed, Lin You waved his wand to cut off the connection between the fireplace and the Floo Network, then stretched his body and left the reception room.

I went to Diagon Alley to stretch my muscles and finally felt much better.

The opponents he encountered in the past few days were either Jupiter or Set, either the king of gods or the main god. Lin You was tricked by the powerful gods and could only accept it. He didn't expect to run into such a group of ignorant goblins. Isn't this a perfect way to vent his anger?
When faced with a weakling who is courting death, if we don't strike back with force, when will we strike back?

On the other hand, Elder Ke Gort was not as leisurely as Lin You. He was now eager to know what happened in the fifteen minutes when the other party was away.

The goblin elder had a vague premonition of something bad happening because the other party mentioned the "Gringotts fireplace being out of order" before they parted.

When Ko Gort came out of the public fireplace, he found that there were obviously more people here than usual. Many people hurriedly went into the fireplace and left, muttering things like "It's terrible", "How could this happen", and "Is Gringotts not safe either?"

But more people also came to Diagon Alley through the fireplace.

Ko Gort recognized several reporters from the Daily Prophet, as well as several Ministry of Magic officials and Aurors. Everyone seemed to be targeting Gringotts, which made the goblin elder even more uneasy.

Diagon Alley was not that long, and Mr. Gort soon noticed something strange in front of his bank. The crowd surrounded the bank door, and the whispers merged into a "buzzing" noise. As soon as he squeezed into the crowd, the goblin elder was almost knocked over by the smell of blood. Then he was frightened and stunned on the spot.

A headless Ukrainian Ironbelly was lying dead at the door of Gringotts; seeing the pale skin of the dragon, Ko Gort immediately recognized it as the dragon guarding the deepest part of the underground vault. He remembered that every time he passed by the dragon, he would involuntarily shudder.

But now, the dragon had lost its head and was lying quietly on the stone floor at the door. Its wings were almost cut off, and blood was still gushing out of its neck. Although dragon blood was a precious material for alchemy and magic potions, it was now flowing on the ground at random, and no one cared about its value.

The two tall and majestic doors of Gringotts had disappeared; a large hole more than ten feet square was blown out where the original doorway was, and the bronze and silver door panels were blown to pieces, leaving only some broken fragments scattered under the fire dragon.

Ko Gort guessed that the big hole in the wall was deliberately blown open to throw out the fire dragon's body.

Several goblins had set up a blockade outside the door, firmly holding back a group of Aurors; the Aurors' leader was a man who looked like he had a lion's mane on his head - that was Scrimgeour, the head of the Auror Office.

A fierce quarrel broke out between the two sides.

"I'm sorry, but Gringotts is well-equipped to handle this emergency; we don't need the Ministry of Magic and the Aurors to intervene."

"This is a criminal case, and all criminal cases fall under the jurisdiction of the Aurors."

Ko Gort turned a deaf ear to the quarrel. The goblin guarding the gate recognized the elder and quickly made way for him, but still blocked the Aurors from entering.

Ignoring Scrimgeour's shouting behind him, Ko Gort walked quickly into the hall; he saw the smelly dragon blood stains along the way, extending from the door to another hole in the hall floor.

This hole is almost the same size as the hole on the gate. Looking through the hole is the cart track that leads directly to the underground vault of Gringotts.

Needless to say, the fire dragon's corpse was brought to the ground through here.

From here, you can see the fallen Gringotts guards one after another. These guards are equipped with a full set of weapons and armor made by goblins with secret methods, and their combat power is even greater than that of most Aurors; but even with such powerful combat power, they are now falling to the ground one after another, and it is unknown whether they are dead or alive.

From the positions where they fell, it could be seen that these guards were unable to put up much resistance when attacked. They were knocked to the ground almost the moment they rushed out of their respective guard positions.

The sophisticated armor could at least withstand a full-strength attack from most wizards, but this time it failed to hold back the attacker.

From the lobby to the back hall, from the back hall to the office area on the upper floor, and then to the board office on the higher floor, there were fallen goblins everywhere; there were guards and ordinary staff.

Ko Gort asked along the way and the good news was that all the goblins that fell to the ground were not dead, but just unconscious; in this attack, the only one that actually died in Gringotts was a dragon.

But apart from the only good news, the rest is all bad news.
