Chapter 61 Abnormal Blackbeard and the Sword of Triton

Chapter 61 Abnormal Blackbeard and the Sword of Triton

The flying carpet slowly rose to the height of the deck. Lin You leaned over to take a look and found that there was no one on the deck. There were two figures swaying at the stern steering wheel, and they seemed to be the only sentinels.

Barbosa was still gesticulating, anxiously indicating that he had no weapon, and then a piece of human tibia was stuffed into his hand.

Before the old pirate could wonder, the tibia turned into a sharp sword. Its shape was exactly the same as the sword he lost, but its color turned into a pale white similar to human bones.

"At least three hours, enough for you; and it is stronger than normal swords." Lin You said and was about to board the ship, but was stopped.

The old pirate raised his hand and pointed to the top of the mast, where there was a lookout tower.

"Normally, there will be someone on guard, and an alarm bell will be equipped. If you don't want everyone on the ship to be suddenly woken up by the bell..."

"clear."

The invisible flying carpet rose again until it was level with the top of the mast. There was indeed a drowsy pirate in the lookout, so Lin You cast a "drowsy" spell to make him sleep more deeply.

The sentry at the stern was treated in the same way, and a "Securing Charm" was added to all the visible hatches on the deck; in this way, unless the sailors split the planks, they would be trapped in the cabin even if they woke up.

The captain's room was also easily opened by an "unlocking spell". It was empty, with only a dim oil lamp lighting it. The table and walls were filled with voodoo amulets, dolls and other props, as well as some bottles and jars filled with unknown things, emitting a strange smell.

Barbossa, who had originally planned to put on a good show, put away his "Shin Sword" in disappointment.

The secret infiltration was a great success, but it was not good news; Blackbeard was not on the ship, which meant that he had already landed on the island to look for the diary.

Lin You was not in a hurry. Anyway, the Queen Anne's Revenge was still here. Whether Blackbeard found the diary or not, he would come back eventually. He looked around and found a cabinet door embedded in the bulkhead. He opened it and found what he was most interested in.

More than a dozen glass bottles were neatly placed on the shelves, each containing a ship captured and sealed by Blackbeard.

The Queen Anne's Revenge had been sailing the Caribbean for decades, and had ravaged countless ships. The ones that could be displayed in the captain's room were all the best of them - Lin You even saw a three-deck battleship.

In the blink of an eye, the collection cabinet was emptied.

These were all the most sophisticated maritime ships in the first half of the eighteenth century. Two or three hundred years later, they would all be priceless national treasures.

Apart from anything else, Britain's "Victory" and the United States' "Constitution" have been passed down from generation to generation and have become heirlooms of the two countries' navies and symbols of national spirit.

The only pity is that it is a little early, and there are still nearly twenty years before the plot of Blackbeard's search for the Fountain of Youth; the number of collections in the cabinet now is obviously not as many as what Captain Jack Sparrow will see in the future.

"Okay, there's nothing valuable left, let's go." Lin You called the old pirate to go out.

As soon as the two of them walked out of the captain's room, they saw people climbing up the gangway towards the shore one after another. The middle-aged man leading the way was wearing black clothes and a black hat, with a big beard braided into two long braids, and his eyes looked at everything with indifference.

This appearance is almost exactly the same as in the fourth movie, except that he looks younger now.

"It seems that uninvited guests came to the ship while I was away." Blackbeard's eyes did not fluctuate at all when he spoke; as if everything was a dead object in his eyes.

"Actually, I knocked on the door before going in, but you were not there." Lin You pointed to the captain's room behind him and said; although he was caught red-handed by his master, he did not feel embarrassed.

Blackbeard looked at Lin You in the moonlight and suddenly said, "You are Calypso's man. You came here to stop me, right?"

There was no possibility of hiding anything from this question, so Lin You simply answered frankly: "You are really good at judging people. But, I am curious how you knew that?" "It was a revelation from God."

"You have been doing evil things on the sea for decades, and you actually believe in things like oracles? Which normal religious deity would bless a villain like you?" Lin You didn't give him any face. He hoped to get more information out of the other party through such fierce verbal stimulation.

"Before tonight, I didn't believe it." Blackbeard said, taking out a leather-covered notebook, "But when I found this diary and saw you with my own eyes, I had to believe it."

The rubies inlaid on the diary sparkled brightly, still dazzling even in the dark night.

Lin You sighed half-truthfully: "That's also the goal of my trip, but you definitely won't give it to me, right?"

Blackbeard sneered and stuffed the diary back into his arms.

"We have to resort to force. But before we start, I have one last question..." Lin You asked seriously, "Can you tell me who is the god who gave you the oracle?"

"I don't know either. If I have to say, maybe he comes from voodoo?" Perhaps because he was obsessed with voodoo spells, Blackbeard gave a self-evident answer.

The writer stroked his forehead with his hand and said, "Oh, if your words were to get out, there would be one more quarrelsome mouth in the Garden of Eden."

Apparently, no one present could hear the humor in this statement.

"Well, now that we've said all the polite words, let's start the fight!" Earl Goff waved his family heirloom dark wood wand, "Come here, diary."

In order to prevent any divine power limitations hidden in the diary, which would make it impossible to drag it like he did with the "Golden Scripture of the Sun", Lin You did not use silent casting, nor did he use wandless casting. Instead, he chose to honestly restore every technical detail of the summoning spell - including the precise pronunciation of the spell and the casting gestures, striving to show the power of the spell to the greatest extent.

The diary responded with a sound and flew out of Blackbeard's arms.

But just when Lin You thought that the mission was accomplished, Blackbeard reacted incredibly quickly, reached out and grabbed the diary firmly in his palm.

Such a quick reaction speed was beyond the caster's expectation, because it was not a temporary reaction, but more like foresight. Before the consciousness reacted, the body had already taken action.

"Divine Sword without Shadow!" Lin You's reaction was not slow either. He found that the first spell was ineffective, and then he sent out a sharp blade to cut towards Blackbeard's wrist.

Something surprising happened again; Blackbeard withdrew his hand and turned sideways as if he had anticipated it, and even drew his sword with his empty right hand and slashed it across in front of him before Lin You cast the curse.

The invisible blade that was hard to see was actually chopped off by Blackbeard's sword. More importantly, the powerful magic that was originally enough to break the armor of the goblin guards in Gringotts was chopped off by this sword.

At the same moment all the ropes on deck began to riot.
