Chapter 79 Preparations Must Be Adequate

Integrating the Witcher story world into the big world has a good foundation in itself, because in the original novel, the heroine Ciri has been to Britain, and more than once.

One of them is a direct description. Ciri travels through time and space to the era of King Arthur, and is called the Lady of the Lake by the silly knight Galahad.

The second time is an indirect description, or it can also be called an Easter egg, which mentions that there is a modern newspaper in the UK that published a rumor about a girl appearing with a unicorn, which is believed to refer to Ciri.

In other words, in the worldview logic of the Witcher story itself, the two worlds are originally connected and can interact with each other - although the conditions for interaction are rather harsh.

However, it is precisely because of this world view setting and the plot in the original story that when God listened to the author's advice and planned to integrate the witcher world, Dagda, the father of the gods in Celtic mythology, jumped out first.

"The demon hunter world should belong to the Celtic pantheon." Dagda's honest face was now full of the cunning and shrewdness of a businessman. "The heroine of the story met Galahad, a knight of the Round Table, and the concept of 'Lady of the Lake' in the story obviously came from the legend of King Arthur."

Both God and the writer could not help but roll their eyes when they heard this.

They are usually nowhere to be seen, but when there is profit to be made, they run faster than each other and stretch their hands as far as possible.

Before God and the Penholder could speak, another voice refuted Dagda first;

"The Arthurian world is just one of many worlds the heroine travels through; even the Lady of the Lake only appears in large numbers in the adapted game. Based on these two points alone, there seems to be no reason for the Celtic pantheon to dominate the entire story, right?"

Walking in from the gate of the Garden of Eden was Odin, the king of gods in Norse mythology. The two gods, who had just quarreled over the division of interests in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean, now faced off again.

"The elves and dwarves that occupy a large part of the Witcher story are all taken from Norse mythology." Odin leaned on his spear Gungnir, and the handle of the spear made a "DuangDuang" sound when it hit the ground.

Seeing that the two pantheons were about to quarrel, God quickly interrupted: "Stop arguing, both of you. The integration of the Demon Hunter world this time is different from the past. This story will not be directly integrated into the big world, and it will not directly integrate the worldviews of your two myths."

"What do you mean?" Dagda asked in a muffled voice, having been silenced.

“To put it simply, it belongs to a semi-independent world that is connected to us, but its worldview logic, time, and space are all independent, and it does not belong to any pantheon of the big world. So, it’s useless for you to rob it.” The author gave the answer for God.

"Why not merge in?" Odin expressed his dissatisfaction, and seemed to want to use Gungnir to smash the ground again.

Lin You sneered: "Want to merge in? Sure! Find a piece of land in the big world that is 500 kilometers wide, 2,500 to 3,000 kilometers long from north to south, with the sea to the west and mountains to the northeast, with rich topography and natural resources inside, and no land inhabited by any intelligent creatures. I will immediately move the story of the Demon Hunter to the big world."

"Why not use a quill to revise it..." Odin's voice dropped noticeably.

"Indeed, the Quill Pen should be able to be modified," the writer nodded in agreement, "For example, the history and geography of the Scandinavian Peninsula can be completely rewritten, perhaps it will fit the time and space background of the Witcher story."

Odin and Dagda could not help but feel a little hopeful. Unexpectedly, the writer changed the subject: "But if you want to do this, you will probably have to wait a while."

"Waiting for what?" asked Dagda.

"Until I collect enough ink for my quill pen to rewrite the entire history of the Scandinavian Peninsula." The writer said lightly.

"How long?" Odin realized something was wrong.

"According to the current speed of accumulating 'real factors', it will take about... a century? At least ninety years, no faster." Lin You looked innocent, "The premise is that in this century, you can't ask me to merge other worlds."

The Father of the Celtic Gods and the Norse God King were both silent; amidst their helpless moods, a feeling of unwillingness was growing.

If the Demon Hunter story can be fully integrated into the big world, based on the plot in the original story, they can make their own pantheon the object of worship for all races in the Demon Hunter world.

But if the Witcher story remains semi-independent, the only thing that will come into play is the definition of "God" in its own worldview - the product of the local belief in the worship of intelligent creatures, or the agent of the power of nature.

Even if the story includes the Knights of the Round Table from Celtic mythology and the elves and dwarves from Norse mythology, that world has no direct relationship with these two mythologies, and the intelligent creatures living in the world will not become believers of the two pantheons.

There is such a huge wealth right in front of me, but it is out of reach; I feel unwilling to accept it just by thinking about it.

However, Lin Youke had no time to appease the two lost gods, that was God's job. The author was now only concerned with the preparations for going to the demon hunter world.

Learning from the lessons of the Pirates of the Caribbean world, you must bring a few more flying carpets; considering the generally bad attitude towards magical powers in that world, if you don't want to cause unnecessary disputes, the power of money is definitely more useful than the power of magic; so you must also prepare more gold.

"By the way, have you greeted the big guys in that world?" Lin You suggested to God, "It's okay to deal with conceptual gods like the Lady of the Lake who are derived from positive spiritual power. I can also stay away from representatives of natural power like Esna, but have you dealt with guys like the Mirror Master who are just for fun?"

A semi-independent world has its own advantages, and the biggest convenience is that the local indigenous gods will not be too opposed to the "Big World Plan". After all, compared to fully integrating into the Big World, they still retain almost all autonomy.

But the problem is that they have too much autonomy. With fewer constraints, it is inevitable that they will have some crooked thoughts, especially those who are fun-loving people whose thinking logic is completely unpredictable.

Although Mirror Master Gaunter O'Dimm is only an original character in the game and does not exist in the original story, he has become the ceiling of the power in the Demon Hunter world. The "fusion plan" proposed by Lin You must be approved by Him.

"He is indeed very interested in you, but it is only an interest. He will not hinder the integration plan." God did not care about the writer's concerns. "According to His style, at most He will make a bet with you or a contract. Your soul is immortal. If you meet Him, you will be almost invincible."
