Chapter 4: The Master's Teachings: "The Sun and Moon Qi-Containing Dragon and Tiger Method"

Lu Chen said: "I have been practicing with Senior Brother Huizhi, and I know a thing or two."

"Really?" The old ancestor looked at Huizhi.

The latter stood up, put his hands on his chest, and bowed, "Ancestor, yes."

As the head of the Dharma Practice Hall, he is also responsible for the preparations before his disciples start practicing.

"Ah."

The ancestor nodded and looked at Lu Chen: "My disciples are divided into four paths: magic, static and dynamic. Can you choose your own path?"

The art of flow is static and dynamic.

This is the way of practice followed by disciples under the tutelage of Patriarch Subhuti.

For example, Zhen'an practiced meditation, nourished his essence and energy, meditated quietly, and moved his magical power.

Senior Brother Huizhi came from Zhanzhou in the south, brought his skills with him to become a disciple, and then followed the path of the Liudao.

Zhenkun was an uneducated man, so he learned the art of summoning immortals to help him. That's why the people living down the mountain regarded him as an immortal.

Zhenyan was born into a peasant family. He did not know any magic skills and had difficulty in meditation, so he practiced the "Dong" self-cultivation method.

But no matter what, these four doors can all lead to the attainment of immortality.

Of course, the immortality fruit as the monkey said is as hard to obtain as "adobe bricks in a kiln", "fishing for the moon in the water" or "pillars in the wall".

But Lu Chen is not greedy.

As for the immortality fruit, that might be something that will happen hundreds of years later.

It’s better to lay a solid foundation now.

Upon hearing this, Lu Chen immediately bowed down: "Disciple has heard that Taoism regards cultivating the golden elixir and preserving the whole body as the right way. I hope that the ancestor will help me."

The old ancestor remained silent. After looking at Lu Chen for a while, he chuckled and said, "He is also a smart boy. When it comes to preserving the integrity of the whole body and entering the ranks of the Mahayana True Immortals, you are still far away."

However, Lu Chen did not choose any of the four paths, but only said "cultivate the golden elixir and keep the whole body healthy".

However, he also had some ulterior motives, which were seen by the ancestor Xumijian.

Lu Chen started to speak: "I have often heard that without accumulating small steps, one cannot reach a thousand miles; without accumulating small streams, one cannot form a river. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Although I am weak, I may not be able to achieve success in one or three years. But I can accumulate my efforts over thirty or fifty years, and eventually I will be able to reach the end!"

The disciples behind him were silent.

But he was shocked by Lu Chen's words.

This is the first time I see someone putting forward conditions when the master passes on his teachings.

Some people watched in silence, some sneered and laughed, and some pondered its meaning. All kinds of people were observed in one day.

Above the lecture hall, in the quiet and secluded Taoist room.

The old ancestor's expression remained unchanged, but he did not say anything. He just waved his whisk and said, "Come forward."

This means that the Dharma is not to be passed on to others.

It is like this when every disciple receives the Dharma and is taught the Tao, each one is different.

Lu Chen stepped forward and knelt down.

The ancestor pointed a finger at Lu Chen's head.

In the haze, Lu Chen seemed to know a lot, but also seemed to know nothing.

Confused and ignorant, very mysterious.

"The Golden Crow and the Jade Rabbit refine their lives, while the Dragon and the Tiger combine their true methods..."

The mystery of a quiet exercise titled "The Sun and Moon Qi-Containing Dragon and Tiger Method" flowed into my heart.

Among them are methods of nourishing essence, refining qi, conserving spirit and even harmonizing dragon and tiger, catching Kan and filling Li.

Be quiet and take in the air, nourish your spirit and maintain peace.

The smallpox that fell on Lu Chen then merged into his body and disappeared.

The other fellow disciples were listening to the old man's teachings and did not notice anything unusual about him.

Only the old ancestor sitting high on the altar twitched his eyebrows and looked at Lu Chen in surprise.

After a little thought, the topic of the Zen Sutra quietly changed to Taoist scriptures.

The disciples had long been accustomed to the old master's wild and imaginative teachings.

Talk about Taoism for a while, talk about Zen for a while, the three schools of thought are in harmony with each other.

The ancestor has always been like this when he sat on the platform and preached.

Using the Tao to follow the laws of nature, he demonstrated the subtlety of Zen meditation; by observing the precepts and guarding the mind, he discussed the two paths of benevolence and righteousness.

Even the theories of the various schools of thought in the Southern Continent can sometimes be explained.

Only a few disciples of the Guang and Da generations were somewhat surprised at the old ancestor's teaching method at this time.

These are obviously some real tips for spiritual practice.

Disciples who have not entered the Tao cannot understand.

Only those of them who have entered the cave dwelling for dozens of years, have already entered the true flow, and have been given the title of immortal, can understand it.

For a moment, I couldn't help but feel excited and wanted to write down more.

Entering the Tao and practicing is the fundamental.

If you don’t enter the Tao, how can you practice?
Although some of these disciples have reached the level of human immortals and even land immortals, they are also happy to know more about the great ways and methods.

When the ancestor teaches the Dharma, he can only impart the true Dharma. If he is busy on weekdays, each disciple will slowly improve themselves after listening to the Dharma.
