Although it is the third level of the Three Vehicles of the Gradual Method, and it may be able to break through the three barriers and reach the state of refining the spirit and returning to the void, it is not the sudden method. It is not the way to preserve one's life and truth."

Lu Chen was puzzled: "Ancestor, what is the gradual method and what is the sudden method?" He really didn't know about these two methods.

The ancestor said: "There are three levels of gradual methods. The lower level is to have sex with women in the bedroom, to have sex with three peaks, or to use the placenta as a purple river placenta, to refine urine as autumn stone, and to burn five metals and eight stones with a furnace fire, etc., which are more than a thousand ways. These are evil ways. The middle level is to fast from food, swallow clouds and gather qi, to prepare prescriptions, or to think about the three qi in the body, to exercise the true intention, etc., which are more than a thousand ways. The upper level is to think, breathe in and out, hold the breath to circulate qi, bend and stretch, guard the dantian, and take the sun and moon qi, etc., which are more than a thousand ways. These are side doors. There are 3,600 Dharmas. The Dharma you are talking about is the gradual Dharma of the higher level. I also call it the way to prolong life. It is practiced by those with shallow foundations to facilitate those who practice step by step. Therefore, it is called the gradual Dharma. "And there is only one sudden Dharma, which is practiced by those who have pre-existing roots. They open up their own way, or realize one path, or practice the great way for thousands of years, or become a saint in one day, just like the three emperors of ancient times, the ancestors of the enlightened Dao, and the Confucian saints and the Buddha of Buddhism. "

Lu Chen's heart skipped a beat. In other words, the 'Dun Method' was specially prepared for geniuses?

Could it be that he is going to teach me the 'Great Heavenly Immortal Technique'?

No, the Great Heavenly Immortal Art is also a practice developed by our predecessors. It has traces to follow and is progressive, so it is also a gradual method.

Or in other words, the path opened up by Brother Huizhi is not, in the eyes of the ancestors, a path that can become a carrier of sudden enlightenment?

The master said: "The sudden enlightenment of the sudden method is the sudden enlightenment of the sudden method. This method has no future and is based on oneself. I can only pass on one word to you."

"The method of Dun is to find the way of self. Or take the void as the cauldron, the great primordial energy as the furnace, purity as the base of the elixir, nothingness as the mother of the elixir, life and nature as the lead and mercury, concentration and wisdom as the water and fire, the elixir is completed when life and nature become one, the body outside the body is the rebirth, breaking the void is the present, and this is the day of great success."
