Chapter 98 Fireworks Celebration

Chapter 98 Fireworks Celebration
In the southern part of Golden Lion, the Blue Sea Port.

In January, the snow in the northern provinces has not yet melted, but the warm sea breeze is already blowing in the southern ports.

In the early morning, the sun illuminates the vast blue sea, and the sea breeze blows the sails of many sailing battleships along the coast.

"Captain Wilson!" The first mate said respectfully to the gray-haired man on the deck wearing a scaled armor cape and fluttering, "The two fleets are ready. We will begin the naval battle exercise when you give the order!"

The gray-haired man had a handsome face, but compared to Yeats, who inherited his father's silver hair, he inherited more of his mother's features.

Wilson nodded slightly, drew out his command knife, and said in a loud voice: "The exercise begins!"

The new artillery carried by the flagship was loaded and fired. A cannon shot broke the quiet morning, and the two fleets began tactical exercises: seizing the T-head, concealing with thick smoke, and boarding operations.

Seeing the enemy ship approaching his own ship, the first mate drew his sword and shouted, "Prepare for a boarding battle!"

A group of enemy sailors, wielding swords, rushed towards Captain Wilson, carrying out a decapitation tactic.

Wilson drew out his swift sword and engaged the oncoming crew members, knocking down the weapons in the hands of the enemy crew members one by one with his superb swordsmanship.

The sun sets, and its afterglow shines on the blue harbor.

Wilson lowered his head, looked at a bearded captain tied to the mast, and said with a smile:

"Count Diray, you lose."

"I was told that you can't invoke the Ring of Life. Did you break the rules?" Di Lei boasted and glared.

Wilson spread his hands and said, "I just used swordsmanship, but you just secretly used the spell 'Enhance Attributes', and the mechanical flying eye has recorded it."

Di Lei raised his head and took a look at the eye-shaped metal ball flying high in the sky. The metal ball had a pair of metal wings and was embedded with a recording stone. It was a magical object made by a dwarf mechanic.

The crew laughed. Diley's face flushed red as he roared:

"Oh God! I swear I will kick your ass hard with my boot! Brondi, untie me now!"

Wilson smiled, calmly untied Deeley, and announced the end of the naval exercise.

The fleet returned safely to the port, the air filled with the smell of gunpowder and the cries of seagulls.

As soon as Wilson got ashore, the steward came forward and said respectfully:

"Lord Wilson, two letters arrived while you were conducting the exercise, one from your ladyship, the other from the northern provinces."

Wilson's heart moved, and he said, "Let me see the second one first."

"As ordered."

Wilson opened the wax seal and read the contents of the letter, with a hint of surprise in his eyes.

Morning Frost Ridge safely survived the beast tide and made a lot of profit from it!
How did Yeats escape danger when he was short of soldiers and food?
Even if Fokasse volunteered to accompany him, Wilson thought to himself that even if he put himself in Yeats's position, he might not be able to accomplish such a feat!

Wilson's eyes flickered slightly, and he couldn't help but recall the scenes from his childhood.

The wind was freezing cold. A gray-haired boy was chopping wooden stakes in the training ground. A young child was sitting on the steps next to him with his chin in his hand.

"Brother, why do people praise you as a genius?" asked the child.

"Because I am strong." The young man panted, with a gleam in his eyes. He cut the wooden stake with a sword and shouted, "Strong people are born to defeat all difficulties. This is genius!"

The young child tilted his head and asked, "Then what is a weak person?"

The young man put his hands on his hips and smiled: "The weak will give in in the face of difficulties."

The child held his chin in his hand and sighed, "I feel like all the difficulties can knock me down... maybe I was born weak."

The young man placed his palm on the child's hair, looked into his eyes, and said in a deep voice:

"No one is born weak, Ye Zhi. If you encounter difficulties, find a way to overcome them. I won't give you any help!"

"But I will help you, brother." The child said softly, "I will use my only strength to help you..."

The young man was suddenly startled, then turned around and left silently.

Seagulls circled above Wilson's head, and he looked up at the dusk sky with a deep gaze.

Did I do something wrong? Should I have helped Yeats when he took office alone?
But since Fokasse chose to follow Yeats, this was the greatest help.

What Yeats accomplished on the outskirts of the kingdom is shocking enough.

Wilson murmured in his heart.

"My brother, you are on the road to becoming a strong man... maybe even better than me."

……

Night falls.

Yellow and orange flames ignited in the sky above Morning Frost Ridge. The light of the fireworks was reflected on the faces of the civilians who were looking up at the square with shocked expressions.

A large bonfire burned brightly in the square, and people announced to each other the lord's order that there would be no curfew tonight and the celebration would continue until dawn, which drew cheers.

In the Middle-Atrium Continent, people believe that fire has the power to drive away darkness, disease and evil, and dancing around fire has become a traditional custom.

The celebration attracted musicians from the City of White Night, who played their instruments in the square and won cheers, applause, and several copper coins as rewards.

Yeats stood on the second-floor balcony of the lord's manor. The cold night wind blew over the brazier on the balcony, and the charcoal fire in the brazier flickered.

Gazing at the fireworks rising in the territory from afar, Ye Zhi felt a sense of calm and reached out to touch the snowy owl standing on the stone wall.

"Gu?" The Snowy Owl turned its head 90 degrees and gave a questioning look.

What is that beautiful flame called?
"It's called fireworks," said Yeats.

"Coo!" The Snowy Owl's yellow eyes were bright with a hint of joy.

The fireworks are beautiful!
Ye Zhi looked up and found that the night sky above the manor was pitch black, so he lightly tapped his fingertips to extinguish the charcoal fire in the brazier.

Immediately, a cluster of light rose from the brazier, flew into the night sky, and bloomed into colorful fireworks.

"This is a second-level spell, the Fireworks Spell." Ye Zhi said with a smile, "If you want to see fireworks, you can also try to learn this spell."

Snowy Owl blinked. "Goo?"

But aren't you by my side?

Ye Zhi was slightly startled.

"Gu!" The snowy owl raised its head and looked at Yeats disdainfully.

It's such a simple spell, I can just have you set off the fireworks for me.

My time is precious, but I need to study more powerful spells!
Ye Zhi stretched out his finger and poked the snowy owl's forehead. The snowy, round-faced fat chicken tilted its head and said, "Gu!"

I am telling the truth!
There was a soft laugh behind me.

Yeats turned around and saw the red-haired beauty leaning against the wall with her arms folded.

Hildreth wore a long robe, a leather belt around his waist with a rapier hanging from it, and breeches and long boots.

When not wearing armor, Hildreth also likes to wear this kind of men's clothing, which is very heroic.

"Why don't you go to the square?" Hildreth said with a smile, "Isn't this a good place for you to give a speech?"

"Actually, I prefer quietness."

The fireworks above his head had gone out. Ye Zhi looked at the flames still rising in the distance and whispered:
"It's also good to watch from a distance like this."

Hildre walked to Ye Zhi's side, looked at the fireworks with him, and whispered: "I also like quietness, but you are different..."

The sound of fireworks echoed, and Ye Zhi asked in surprise: "What's the difference?"

"I can hear my heartbeat more clearly when I'm with you."

Hildre's profile was beautiful, her eyes reflected a cluster of bright fireworks rising up, and she said calmly:

“It feels like being quiet.”
