The literary era since 1979
Chapter 458 RNM, refund the money!
On May 5, the sky was gloomy.
Fang Yan sat in his old room, the desk lamp shining on his profile and on the graph paper covered with words.
At hand was the preliminarily completed script of "Baby Smart Star", but what he was writing was the manuscript he prepared for "Chinese Writers".
Although I cannot write directly from "White Deer Plain", I drew inspiration from "White Deer Plain", but the character is not a white deer, but an elk.
On the densely written paper, the word "hunting" was clearly written on the first line.
The story is simple and sad. It is about a divorced old man named Lucas who moved to the countryside to settle down. He liked hunting and lived a harmonious and friendly life with his neighbors. Until one day, a girl lied and accused him of molesting her. For a time, this good man became the object of exclusion and oppression by the entire town. However, when the truth came out, the residents of the town were severely slapped in the face and all of them became "accomplices" who helped the evil.
The greater the malice before, the greater the shame afterwards.
Lucas's incident seems to be over, but it will never be over, because Lucas is like a thorn, deeply embedded in the hearts of those small town residents who once oppressed, bullied, and framed him. This thorn will only sink deeper and deeper, reminding you from time to time, even for a lifetime, that you are wrong.
If you want to solve it, you can either move out of town, find a place where no one knows the truth, and start over.
Or you can completely remove this thorn, in other words, get rid of Lucas, this thorn in your side!
Although the ending of the movie is open-ended, it tends to be the second one.
When Lucas "reconciled" with the townspeople and went hunting in the wild as before, he pointed his gun at the innocent elk, while the townspeople's guns, and even his former friends, were all pointed at him, the innocent man who was framed.
"The Hunt" is a realistic work centered around human nature, chilling and suffocating.
The dialect is going to be modified like Kafka's "Metamorphosis", where people can turn into beetles or into elks to be slaughtered.
The false accusation of molestation causes alienation and hallucination between the protagonist and the surrounding environment. In the rumors and illusions, the protagonist is an innocent elk waiting to be slaughtered. He begins to experience a completely different way of life and reaches a black humorous ending in this absurdity.
In this hunting game between humans and elk, the elk is innocent and has done nothing wrong, just like Lucas.
Originally, he had done nothing, but he was still hunted. People hunted wild deer for fun, but they hunted him to remove the nail in their hearts. As long as he was around, the conscience of the residents of the town would ache.
When involved in this kind of human game, only those who are hurt can understand what is right and wrong.
In addition to changing the core of the story and changing the form from realism to magical realism, the background, environment, and narrative also had to be modified.
The dialect fictionalizes a small Western town in the snow and ice, and the protagonist is not Lucas, but "I" who appears in the first person.
After all, if we want to incorporate elements of avant-garde literature into the novel, we must be "avant-garde and bold" in narrative and language exploration.
In China, there are very few novels narrated in the first person, and novels like Fangyan, which combine first-person and third-person narration, are even less popular. In today's literary world, almost only my "Malice" and Yu Hua's "The Seventh Night" have done so.
When you think of this, one thought will become clear, and all thoughts will become clear.
Inspiration immediately came to me like a spring, and I wrote faster and faster, and the entire story outline was almost completed in one go.
At this moment, Gong Xing's voice came from outside the house: "The game begins!"
Immediately afterwards, the voices of Fang Yan, Han Yuemin and others were heard, urging him to come out and watch the game.
The 1985 World Cup qualifiers was the third time that the Chinese national football team launched an attack on the World Cup, but it was different from the past because in the previous year's Asian Cup, the Chinese national football team lost to Saudi Arabia in the final. Although they finished second in the Asian Cup, it was the best result achieved by the Chinese national football team at that time.
The Chinese national football team, with the momentum of being the runner-up in the Asian Cup, is naturally highly anticipated by the audience across the country, who hope that it can break out of Asia and enter the world.
"Brother, why don't we go and see it live?"
Seeing her brother's figure, Fang Yan pouted, with a hint of resentment in her words.
"Yeah, Iwako."
Han Yuemin was equally puzzled, "Although the tickets were sold out in no time, ticket scalpers still have a lot of them."
Fang Hong asked: "What's the difference between watching it live and watching it on TV? Can't we both watch the game?" "It's very different!"
Fang Yan was about to open her mouth when Yang Xia glared at her, "Your sister is pregnant now, how can she go to the scene? What if something unexpected happens..."
Seeing Han Yuemin's embarrassed smile, Fang Yan said meaningfully:
"It would be fine if we win this game, we can celebrate, but if we lose..."
"Losing? How is that possible!"
Han Yuemin waved his hand, "We are the runner-up of the Asian Cup. With the strength of a provincial team like Xiangjiang, it should be easy to defeat us."
Fang Yan nodded and said, "That's right, brother, you underestimate the strength of our national football team."
"Then we'll see."
Fangyan shook his head and laughed. He had engraved this game in his mind, even more deeply than "RNM, give me your money back."
After all, the Chinese national football team has never disappointed anyone when it comes to performance.
As expected, an accident happened. Less than 20 minutes into the game, the Xiangjiang team scored a free kick and took the lead -.
"oops!"
Fang Yan's face showed an expression of annoyance and helplessness.
"Don't panic, there's still a lot of time left in the game. If we can find a way to get one back, we can advance to the second round."
Han Yuemin's heart was in his throat until about 15 minutes later, when the Chinese national team scored a long-range shot and equalized the score, only then did he feel relieved.
"Oh, oh, it's a goal, bro, did you see it? We're tied!"
Seeing the little sister dancing with excitement, Fangyan smiled coldly.
For the Chinese national football team, "qualifying with a draw" can basically be equated with a "curse", and they basically cannot overcome this hurdle.
This time was no exception. Less than 20 minutes into the second half, another goal was scored and the score was reversed again.
The Chinese national football team became extremely anxious. From that point on, they bombarded the opponent's goal and shot desperately, but to no avail.
Finally, when the referee blew the final whistle, the score on the TV screen froze at 2 to 1, meaning that the Chinese national football team was eliminated.
Fang Yan was stunned, Han Yuemin was confused, Gong Xing, Fang Hong and the other three looked at each other, unable to say a word for a while.
"Boom, boom."
There were bursts of thunder outside the house, and then sporadic rain began to fall slowly.
Fangyan held his forehead with his hand, walked hurriedly, and closed the open window in time. Suddenly, he heard faint shouting and cursing in his ears.
Regardless of the rain, neighbors came out of their homes and into the streets to curse the Chinese national football team.
This situation is exactly the same as the scene in my previous life. I still vaguely remember that someone was so angry that he smashed the TV to vent his anger.
As for the audience, after the game, most of them stood silently in the stadium, unwilling to leave.
Even through the TV, one could feel how depressing, heavy and terrifying the atmosphere was.
As the crowd slowly walked out, suddenly some fans started to cry and someone shouted:
"RNM, refund the money!"
The crowd immediately started to stir. The furious fans lost their minds and turned into a group of terrifying beasts, smashing everything they saw and completely losing control. (End of this chapter)
