At the foot of the Five Finger Mountain, Dizang looked at the nonchalant Sun Wukong and felt a little confused for a moment.

"If you join my Buddhist sect, you can escape from this predicament. Sun Wukong, are you really unwilling to do so?" Dizang asked.

Long before, his fellow disciples in Heaven had told him that Sun Wukong's personality had changed to a certain extent.

But in his opinion, what Sun Wukong did in the Heavenly Palace was ultimately because the Western religion was playing a trick on him.

Today, Sun Wukong has been suppressed under the Five Finger Mountain for five hundred years. No matter how much his personality changes, it will eventually be smoothed out by time.

He only needs to make the request and Sun Wukong will surely agree, and joining Buddhism will be a natural thing.

But he also didn't expect that Sun Wukong, who had been suppressed for so many years, was not in a hurry to escape, but instead asked him for help.

If he didn't agree, Sun Wukong insisted that he could continue to stay in the Five Finger Mountain. Is this still the Sun Wukong he knew?

Naturally, he did not want to see this happen. Sun Wukong was the one who was to be borne by the calamity in the Journey to the West, and it was related to whether the Journey to the West could proceed.

If Sun Wukong continues to stay here, how will the journey to the west proceed? How will Western religion flourish?
However, when hearing Dizang's question, Sun Wukong's expression did not change at all. He even closed his eyes and had no intention of answering Dizang at all.

Obviously, the answer just now has already shown Sun Wukong's attitude.

Seeing this situation, Dizang was also very helpless. He didn't understand why Sun Wukong was like this.

Could it be that Sun Wukong saw through his thoughts, so he was fearless? But when did Sun Wukong become so smart?

Sun Wukong's abnormal behavior made him more confused and even at a loss as to where to start.

But the current situation did not allow him to think too much.

"In that case, I'll do as you say. I only need to escort the person who goes to obtain the scriptures and there's no need to join the Buddhist sect!" Dizang looked helpless.

Now that things have come to this, he can only choose to agree to this matter first.

Of course, even though I have no choice but to agree to this for now, I will never let this matter go.

After returning to the Great Leiyin Temple, he will report this matter to his saintly master.

Sun Wukong is of vital importance to Western religion, and he must be made the guardian of Buddhism in the West at all costs.

In his opinion, even if a little Sun Wukong had already broken through to the level of Golden Immortal, the Western religion still had plenty of ways to deal with him.

With two saints in charge, even if Sun Wukong does not agree to this matter now, he will definitely become a member of the Western religion in the future.

After hearing Dizang's answer, Sun Wukong finally slowly opened his eyes.

"Since you are so sincere, I, Old Sun, will reluctantly agree to this!"

Seeing Sun Wukong's attitude, Dizang's heart was burning with anger, and he wished he could tear Sun Wukong into pieces.

But now the initiative is on Sun Wukong's side, he can only let Sun Wukong control him, how can he have any room for rebuttal?
However, this also made him want to punish Sun Wukong even more. After returning to the Great Leiyin Temple, he would definitely report the matter in detail and make Sun Wukong pay the price.

Suppressing the anger in his heart, Dizang no longer wanted to stay here and turned to leave Wuzhi Mountain.

Looking at Dizang's departing back, Sun Wukong fell into deep thought.

As Senior Heiwu said, he has really gone deep into the catastrophe and has become a crucial figure in it.

Although he didn't know what this catastrophe meant, nor did he know the purpose of this chess game, he knew that he was definitely a crucial chess piece.

It is precisely because of this that he was able to use the information he had foresight to grasp the situation of Ksitigarbha who came to visit him.

Although he had the upper hand in this matter, he was not too happy. Instead, he wanted to know the truth of everything.

He did not forget his identity as a chess piece, nor did he forget the hatred that Ran Deng suppressed against him.

What he longs for is freedom, unrestrainedness, and not being manipulated by anyone.

If you don't want to be manipulated by others, if you want to get rid of your identity as a chess piece, if you want to overturn the chess game, if you want to find someone to take revenge on, being a Daluo Jinxian is not enough.

Just as Senior Heiwu said, although Journey to the West is a chess game set by the Western religion, there are still many twists and turns in it.

He knew very well that this was a rare opportunity. No matter what, he had to seize it to reach a higher level.

Only by reaching a higher realm can he have the possibility of breaking free from his shackles and regaining his freedom.

At this moment, he was looking forward to the arrival of the man who was seeking scriptures even more.

On the other side, Tang Sanzang traveled westward all the way, and after a long journey, he finally reached the edge of the Tang Dynasty.

He was appointed as an envoy by the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty, so he could travel freely within the territory of the Tang Dynasty without any obstruction.

On his way west, he saw and heard countless things, and his heart became more determined to go to the Great Leiyin Temple to seek the true scriptures.

One day, when he was passing by a place and walking with the county magistrate, he suddenly saw three-colored golden lights and thousands of auspicious auras on the mountain in front of him.

Upon closer inspection, one can see that the source of the three-color golden light and auspicious aura is precisely a seal with unclear words on it.

"Where is this place? Why is it so mysterious?" Tang Sanzang asked.

He had already felt the strangeness of the mountain, and even more so the infinite Buddhist teachings contained therein.

“This mountain was named Five Elements Mountain, but was renamed Liangjie Mountain after the Tang Emperor conquered it.

"I heard from an old man years ago that five hundred years ago, a divine monkey descended from the sky and pressed down this mountain, and it has not died to this day!" the county magistrate explained.

After hearing the county magistrate's words, Tang Sanzang immediately realized that this place was the Five Finger Mountain that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had mentioned.

Under the Five Finger Mountain, there is a demon suppressed. He is the destined guardian of Buddhism and has a connection with him, so he can help him obtain the scriptures.

He only needs to help the demon escape from trouble, and the demon will be grateful and take the initiative to worship him as his master.

After bidding farewell to the county magistrate, Tang Sanzang rode his Pegasus horse down the mountain for several miles and finally found the divine monkey that the county magistrate had mentioned among the stone boxes in the mountain stream.

All I saw was a pointed chin, fiery eyes, and a head covered with moss.

His eyebrows were covered with soil, and his nose was blocked by mud, making him look very miserable.

If he hadn't seen the eyes moving, he really wouldn't have thought it was a living being.

Tang Sanzang looked at the divine monkey and thought that since this divine monkey had been able to live here in the open air for five hundred years, he must be the guardian of Buddhism mentioned by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

"You are the divine monkey suppressed here. My name is Tang Sanzang. I am going to the Western Land to seek the true scriptures under the order of the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty. I just happened to pass by here." Tang Sanzang introduced himself.

Everyone knows about the Journey to the West, so it doesn't matter if you tell this monkey god.

Moreover, he will travel with this divine monkey in the future, so he will naturally have to tell the divine monkey the purpose of his trip.

"My name is Sun Wukong. Are you the one who is going to obtain Buddhist scriptures?" Sun Wukong responded indifferently.

While Tang Sanzang was asking him questions, he was also sizing up Tang Sanzang.

The first moment Tang Sanzang entered the Five Finger Mountain, he discovered this person's movements. Seeing Tang Sanzang's monk-like appearance, he also guessed this person's identity.

This person has a close relationship with the Western Religion, and all those who plotted against him secretly came from the Western Religion. Naturally, he was unwilling to give Tang Sanzang a good face.

Now that the pilgrim has arrived, he has begun to think about what to do next. "It is me, Sun Wukong, you and my Buddha have a destiny.

I have come here on the orders of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to rescue you. Are you willing to join the Buddhist sect and go with me to obtain the scriptures?" Tang Sanzang asked.

It was Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's special instruction to let Sun Wukong convert to Buddhism and go on a journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures with him.

He knew very well that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva held a high position in Buddhism and was the incarnation of great accomplishment and wisdom. He should do his best to follow Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's instructions.

In his opinion, Sun Wukong must have been lonely and miserable after being trapped here for many years.

If he could save Sun Wukong, Sun Wukong would certainly be grateful to him as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said.

However, after he opened his mouth, he found that there was no change on Sun Wukong's face, and he showed no joy of being out of trouble.

He even noticed that Sun Wukong's expression became extremely impatient.

"I have an agreement with Ksitigarbha that I can accompany you to obtain the scriptures, but I will not join the Buddhist sect!" Sun Wukong said in a deep voice.

Hearing Sun Wukong's words, Tang Sanzang stood there in a daze.

The reason for this is that what Sun Wukong said was not the same as what Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva described.

Sun Wukong even called out the name of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and refused to join the Buddhist sect and take him as his master.

Moreover, in his opinion, Sun Wukong had been trapped here for many years. If he could rescue Sun Wukong, Sun Wukong should be happy.

But now, Sun Wukong's attitude was unusually cold, even extremely impatient, as if he didn't care about the matter.

Thinking of this, Tang Sanzang was a little at a loss, not knowing how to deal with this matter.

"Tang Sanzang, do you still want to help me escape from this predicament? If not, just leave on your own!" Sun Wukong's voice sounded again.

After hearing what Sun Wukong said, Tang Sanzang came back to his senses.

"Of course I will help you. What should I do?" Tang Sanzang asked hurriedly.

Naturally, he was somewhat dissatisfied with Sun Wukong's reluctance to join the Buddhist sect.

But Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had already instructed that there were countless demons along the journey to the west, and the Buddhist guardians here were extremely important and must be accompanied along.

Although he didn't know why what Sun Wukong said was different from what Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said, but under the current circumstances, he could only agree to it for the time being.

“There is a golden copy of the word ‘Randeng’ on the top of the mountain. You just need to peel off the copy.” Sun Wukong explained.

After hearing Sun Wukong's explanation, Tang Sanzang headed straight for the top of the mountain.

He was originally curious about the contents of the calligraphy, but he never expected that it was actually related to the Buddha Dipamkara.

When he reached the top of the mountain, he saw thousands of golden lights and auspicious auras, and finally he could see the contents on the copybook.

Written on the copybook was the six-character mantra of Buddhism. Upon seeing this, Tang Sanzang subconsciously recited the six-character mantra.

As Tang Sanzang's Buddhist chanting sounded, a breeze blew by, and the calligraphy moved away from the top of the mountain without wind.

The golden pressure sticker was lifted, the Five Finger Mountain shook violently, and a smile finally appeared on Sun Wukong's face.

After getting rid of the suppression of the Five Finger Mountain, he felt relaxed all over. He even felt that some of the monkey particles in his body began to transform.

Five hundred years later, he was finally able to break free from the cage and see the light of day again.

With Sun Wukong's escape from prison and his journey westward with Tang Sanzang, the Journey to the West officially began.

Time passed quickly, and it had been a while since Sun Wukong escaped from his predicament. The two of them had also entered the territory of the Western Land.

However, Tang Sanzang was the only one on the journey to the west today. He was leaning on his staff with one hand and holding the reins with the other, looking extremely miserable.

The reason for this is that Tang Sanzang had a big fight with Sun Wukong.

During this period, they first encountered a tiger demon, which was easily defeated by Sun Wukong.

Later, he encountered several thieves, and it was on this matter that he and Sun Wukong had a disagreement.

According to his thinking, although these people were thieves, their crimes did not deserve the death penalty.

But Sun Wukong ignored them and directly killed the six bandits. This was inconsistent with the Buddhist teachings he believed in. He couldn't stand this and took the opportunity to reason with Sun Wukong.

But Sun Wukong only left a word of false compassion, left him alone, jumped away, and disappeared.

Recalling the look in Sun Wukong's eyes when he left, Tang Sanzang even felt a little scared.

Just as Tang Sanzang continued his journey westward, a thousand-foot golden light appeared, and a figure appeared in front of Tang Sanzang.

"Greetings to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva!" Tang Sanzang said with a look of surprise.

The person who appeared before his eyes was none other than Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva who had once helped him find his way out of a maze.

"Tang Sanzang, are you worried about Sun Wukong?" Dizang asked.

As he spoke, a golden hood appeared in his hand.

Hearing Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's question, Tang Sanzang's eyes lit up. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was indeed a prophet and had guessed what he was thinking.

"That's right. Sun Wukong is even more arrogant and domineering because he didn't enter Buddhism!" Tang Sanzang responded.

When he was helping Sun Wukong escape from trouble, he was extremely dissatisfied with Sun Wukong's lukewarm attitude.

As for how he dealt with the six thieves, Sun Wukong's approach made him even more unhappy.

When Sun Wukong was leaving, the fierce look in his eyes made him even more fearful. He even suspected that Sun Wukong had the intention to kill him.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva came here on his own initiative and mentioned this matter. Could it be that he had anticipated this?
"I'll give you this treasure and teach you a spell to tighten the hoop. After Sun Wukong takes this treasure, you only need to recite the spell and Sun Wukong will not dare to disobey you!" Dizang said with a smile.

After he returned to the Great Leiyin Temple, he immediately informed the two saintly masters of what had happened on the Five Finger Mountain.

The sage master naturally could not tolerate Sun Wukong, so he personally handed him a magic weapon and asked him to give it to Jin Chanzi.

This magic weapon was personally refined by the two saintly masters and is called the Golden Hoop. Not only can it be controlled by the Golden Immortal, but even the Quasi-Saint can control it.

As long as Sun Wukong is bound by the golden hoop, he will have no room to struggle and will inevitably become the guardian of their Western religion.

Didn't Sun Wukong refuse to join Buddhism? Then he wanted to see what kind of storm Sun Wukong could stir up after wearing the golden hoop.

As soon as he finished speaking, he had already sent out the golden hood, which was exactly the transformed golden hoop.

Hearing what was said on the ground, Tang Sanzang was overjoyed and quickly took off his golden hood.

"Thank you, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, for the treasure. I will definitely let Sun Wukong take it with him!" Tang Sanzang said with a smile.

In his opinion, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was indeed a man of foresight. He must have anticipated that Sun Wukong would be disobedient, so he gave him this treasure.

He had long disliked Sun Wukong, and the fact that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva took the initiative to show up and give him treasures just proved that his opinion of Sun Wukong was correct.

With this treasure and the mantra taught by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Sun Wukong will certainly worship him as his master and obey him obediently. (End of this chapter)
