The power station is built in two phases, each with an installed capacity of 120 million kilowatts, a total of 240 million kilowatts. The first and second phases are equipped with 4 30-kilowatt pumped storage units respectively. The annual power generation can reach 50 billion kWh. After completion, it will also be the largest hydropower station in Guangdong Province.

The Shajiao Power Plant is located in Humen Town, Guancheng, at Humen Bay at the mouth of the Pearl River. It is located between Yangcheng, Pengcheng and Guancheng. It is planned to carry out three phases of the project, to build Shajiao A Power Plant, Shajiao B Power Plant and Shajiao C Power Plant respectively. Each power plant is equipped with 7 generating sets, each with an installed capacity of 30 kilowatts, with a total installed capacity of 630 million kilowatts. Theoretically, the annual total power generation can reach 551.88 billion kWh.

This is also the largest investment in the entire project!

Taking into account the losses and the fact that it is difficult for power plants to generate electricity at full power 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, this almost ensures that even if the local thermal power plants in Hong Kong are demolished, the city's power supply can be guaranteed by external power transmission alone. In addition to Yangcheng, Pengcheng, and Dongguan, the participants in this meeting are the provincial government and the power system.

The entire project will take 5 years to complete!
As for power stations and power plants, China Light and Power holds a 70% stake and Guangdong Power Grid holds a 30% stake. China Light and Power provides the money and Guangdong Province is responsible for solving the land problem.
