In addition to processing different oil products such as gasoline, the refineries here can also produce gaseous fuels, synthetic gas, petrochemical products, as well as lubricating oil and asphalt raw materials.

After years of continuous investment, the land reclamation project is nearing completion.

While in the helicopter, Liu Tao also saw a 40-ton oil tanker pumping oil into the refinery.

This is not the only chemical base under construction by Panshan Group, but one of the three major bases.

There are also two chemical bases under construction, one on an island in the Beibu Gulf and the other on an island in Zhenhai, Yongcheng, Zhejiang Province, both with a total designed crude oil refining capacity of 200 million barrels per day.

Most of the oil shipped from the Persian Gulf is shipped to Panshan Group’s own refineries, and then supplied to the entire country, as well as exported to Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.

These three major chemical bases are not built on land, but on islands, and some even resort to reclaiming land from the sea. This is naturally because refineries have pollution problems and are generally not built in densely populated areas.

Even though these three petrochemical bases use the world's most advanced processing methods and the most environmentally friendly technologies to control pollution as much as possible, they still cannot completely eliminate pollution. They can only ensure that it will not affect the surrounding land.

These three petrochemical bases, as well as many large and medium-sized refineries, are all under the jurisdiction of China Petroleum Group.
