At the end of June, I was sick and took out in advance all the leave requests for the three months of June, July and August.

I started writing the novel in January, and now, in less than seven months, I have written almost two million words.

At the beginning, I could write 10,000 to 20,000 words every day and I was so energetic that I couldn’t stop.

And now, seven months later... I feel like I'm about to explode and die.

I am so exhausted. My body has been completely broken down in the past two months and I have been suffering from minor illnesses all the time.

Now that I have no leave application available, I considered it for a while and finally made this difficult decision.

There is no need to have perfect attendance in August... Just take a good rest for a few days, and then update slowly.

According to Qyue's royalty mechanism, unless a book becomes a huge hit, for most books, the more words they have, the lower the royalty.

If you have full attendance in July, you can basically only get the minimum guarantee. If you continue to have full attendance in August, you probably won’t even get the minimum guarantee.

So I gave up on full attendance in August, probably taking this into consideration.
