Chapter 5: Knives must be sharpened, people must see blood

After the three treasures of Hung Gar, the next is the Five Forms Boxing, first practiced individually and then as a group.

Five forms of boxing: dragon, snake, tiger, leopard and crane.

The tiger form trains bones, the leopard form trains strength, the snake form trains qi, the crane form trains essence, and the dragon form trains spirit.

The tiger is fierce, the leopard is fast, the snake is cunning, the crane is clever, and the dragon is smart.

Among them, the first four are pictographic.

The dragon form is different, it is to take the spirit of the dragon and train the mind.

The dragon-shaped one is flexible in advance and retreat, with skillful and agile techniques and a natural spirit. First, practice the body of the diamond, then practice the pure yang energy. When still, it is like crouching waves, and when moving, it is like a thousand horses galloping.

When practicing Dragon Form Fist, the skills are the first priority, and the boxing routine is secondary.

In other words, the dragon shape is powerful, but it emphasizes intention rather than strength. The spirit comes from strength and the mind comes from intention.

Of course, this does not mean that the Dragon Shape Fist is weaker than other pictographic fists in actual combat.

Dragon Form Fist mainly practices fist, palm, elbow and claw, emphasizing various force-generating movements, such as explosive power, yin-yang power and cross force.

Because of the spirit of dragon, the focus is on the appearance, especially the combination of bridge horse skills and steps. On the basis of copper bridge and iron horse, the changes of fist, palm, elbow and claw are coordinated to make the movements fast, round, floating and varied.

More importantly, the dragon shape combines hardness with softness, the mutual generation of yin and yang, and the harmony of movement and stillness. It is able to implement the way of cultivating both inside and outside in a very deep and thorough manner.

Among the five forms of boxing, Hong Chen's dragon form is the best.

This is inextricably linked to the physical condition, ideology, personality and temperament of the person practicing the exercises.

For example, Hong Zhennan, as a master of Hung Gar, his Tiger Form is far stronger than the other four forms. Because his temperament and personality are like a tiger, domineering like the king of beasts, so he can achieve twice the result with half the effort when practicing Tiger Form, and now he has successfully developed a tiger-like boxing style.

From this, we can infer that although Hong Chen has a strong and resolute temperament, he is also flexible and adaptable; he is determined to make progress, but not eager for quick success; he is moderate, but not worldly-wise. Just like the changes of a dragon, it can be big or small, it can rise or hide.

Afterwards, the Ten-Shape Fist, Wulang Bagua Stick, Six-and-a-half-point Stick, Seven-and-a-half-point Stick, Single Sword, Double Swords and so on have also achieved some success.

Wait for Hong Chen to stop.

Hong Zhennan stood up, clapped his hands vigorously, and praised loudly: "Well, I didn't accept you as my disciple in vain!"

Hong Chen stood still, his newly grown face had clear lines.

He has deep eye sockets, clear eyes, a high nose bridge, and a smile on the corners of his lips.

Compared with the steady, vigorous, hard, powerful and straight punches just now, his appearance and temperament are more gentle.

However, his pair of sword-like eyebrows added to his fierceness.

"Kung Fu requires training of strength and body, as well as nourishment and cultivation of character. There are moves and routines, as well as martial arts ethics. But in actual combat, it is nothing more than a competition of strength, speed, reaction, endurance and resistance to blows. I don't need to say much about your strength. With this alone, even if you don't practice martial arts, you can kill people as long as you hit them, so I am not worried that you will lose. I am only worried that you will not dare to strike when you should, and I am even more worried that you will suddenly feel fear after striking.

However, the knife must be sharpened and the person must see blood.
