In 1919, he taught at Tianjin Nankai Middle School, and soon met Liang Shuming.

In Nanjing in 1922, he learned Buddhist Consciousness-Only from Ouyang Jing, and made friends with Liu Yizheng, Tang Yongtong and others.Later employed as a special lecturer of Peking University.

In 1971, Beichuanshan Society reprinted "The Complete Works of Chuanshan Posthumous Letters", 22 volumes.

Wang Fuzhi's research fields include astronomy, calendar, mathematics, and geology, and he specializes in classics, history, and literature.Criticize the idealism of Cheng Zhu Neo Confucianism, and summarize the ancient materialist thought.

Recognize that the space between heaven and earth is not Qi, that is, it is not Li, because Qi is a material entity, and Li is an objective law.

It also uses Yun Shenghua to explain the nature of Qi changing day by day. It is recognized that yin and yang form their own images, and they are relative; hardness and softness, cold temperature, life and death, must be opposite and enmity each other. The principle of the enemy.

He emphasized that the world is only about utensils, and its utensils determine its way, and established its historical evolution theory from the way of utensils.In terms of knowledge and action, it emphasizes that action is the basis of knowledge, and opposes Lu Wang's argument that knowledge and action are based on knowledge, action and learning.

In terms of social history, he criticizes the view that the past is less important than the present, and he believes that human history is constantly evolving.He opposed the concept of destiny, and believed that the development of history has regularity, and that reason and situation complement each other.

Wang Fuzhi believes in Cheng Zhu's Neo-Confucianism, but he does not agree to preserve the principles of heaven and destroy human beings, and recognizes that everyone has their own, that is, the great unity of natural principles;

Wang Fuzhi's thinking did not go beyond the scope of feudalism. He insisted on maintaining the feudal system. He believed that the feudal system could not be changed, and what could be changed were only means.

The academic school of later generations studying Wang Fuzhi's thoughts is called Chuanshan Studies.The descendants of the author compiled "Chuanshan Suicide Notes".
