Chapter 1844 [Evil] Eyes

Another few days passed.

On this day, it was time to change the eye medicine again, but Xia Fuyi was still unable to wait for the sound of Zhan Luoying's footsteps.

She stayed in the room for a long time, until someone came into the room and lighted a lamp silently, and she came back to her senses.

The person who came to light the lamp quietly retreated, and within a short while, there was another slight sound of footsteps outside the door.

The door creaked and was pushed open again, and the faint scent of medicine permeated the air.

Xia Fuyi moved his nose, smelled the fragrance of the medicine that he usually applied to his eyes, and calmed down.

For some reason, not only was Zhan Luoying late today, but she also changed her habit of chatting with her, and kept silent when changing her dressing.

The hand held a soft cotton cloth and gently wiped her eyelids, and after a while, the cloth strips that were attached to the medicine were wrapped around her eyes layer by layer.

When the slightly cool skin touched her face inadvertently, Xia Fuyi paused in his heart. He didn't open his mouth until that hand had wrapped her in a cloth strip and knotted it lightly at the back of her head. Her tone was calm,
"Where is Luoying?"

The hand behind her head paused slightly, and after a while, she fastened the cloth belt again, and a careless smile sounded from behind,
"I'm still wondering when you'll find out."

The man leaves behind her,

"Luoying is not at the door today, so I will work on his behalf."

"Trouble door master."

Xia Fuyi was very polite, but his tone was cold and without any emotion.

The air in the room cooled down silently, and while the man began to organize the medicines at hand, he said in a rare and completely indifferent voice,

"Miss Xia, don't worry, it's just this one time."

Xia Fuyi lowered her head and did not speak. She heard the footsteps near her ears gradually receding, until the door was slammed shut, and then slowly raised her hand to touch the cloth strip in front of her.

Slightly frowning, the girl stood up while supporting the table with some irritability, and walked towards the bed.

She hadn't taken two steps when she suddenly tripped over something under her feet. She fell down unexpectedly, and managed to keep from falling on the ground with her hands just in time to support herself.

While staggering, the candlestick beside the bed was knocked down by her, and the bright flame flashed past her eyes, and then flitted across the carpet with a whoosh, burning blazingly.

The man who hadn't gone far probably heard the noise, and the door was soon slammed open.

"what are you doing?"

Xia Fuyi turned her head to look back, and the cloth strips tied in the embarrassment fell down, and the burning flames caught her eyes, which were dark and blankly opened towards the door, and the black eyelashes cast deep shadows on her snow-white face. A deep shade, soft and innocuous as hell.

The question went unanswered, and the man didn't seem to have time to mind.

He walked in with a cold face without stopping, and quickly bent over to pick up the girl and put her at the door, then turned around and took the quilt to cover the burning flames directly.

The fire was extinguished, but there was still some smell in the house.

He stretched out his hand and pushed the window before going out again. He looked at the girl standing in front of the door who didn't seem to understand the situation. After a moment of silence, he said calmly to the disciple in charge of guarding Fuyi Pavilion who rushed over,
"Until Miss Xia's eyes recover, there is no need to light the lamps in Fuyi Pavilion."

The disciple obediently complied, and the man turned around and left without saying a word.

"You go in later, I'll change the quilt for you."

After the disciple went in and looked at the room, he came out and said this to Xia Fuyi.

The girl nodded, touched the pillar and sat down on the porch chair outside the door, and began to stretch out her hand to re-tie the blindfold.

The eyes were covered with a white cloth, and the black eyelashes drooped, covering the eyes with a gleam of light.

Outside the porch, there was a wind blowing with the smell of night dew and woods, shaking the amber in her sleeve.
