Chapter 24 Depression
"Brother Xiaoyi, what do you want to take? I'm waiting for you here, you go quickly." Hong Dou said to Gu Zian.

Gu Zian didn't leave immediately, but instead sat at the dining table with Hongdou.

Looking at the Zamian pancakes that Gu Zian stuffed into her hands, Hong Dou's heart trembled.

"Hurry up and eat, and hurry up after eating."

After Gu Zian said this with a cold face, he walked into the west room.

Hongdou stared blankly at his back, not knowing what to say.

Gu Changping on the side smiled and said, "Zian has already eaten, this is specially reserved for you, eat it quickly."

Hearing Gu Changping's words, Hongdou wanted to laugh.

Unexpectedly, Gu Zian was still an awkward boy.

She didn't have enough for breakfast, and she didn't have time to get food from the supermarket, so she was really hungry now.

Hongdou had just finished eating Zamian pancakes, and Gu Changping brought her another bowl of porridge over there.

Hongdou smiled gratefully at Gu Changping, then picked up the bowl and started drinking.

After taking a sip, Hong Dou realized that only the top layer of the bowl of porridge in his hand was covered with water, and the bottom layer was actually boiled rice.

Hong Dou looked at Gu Changping in astonishment, but saw Gu Changping smiled gently, "What are you doing in a daze, eat quickly, or it will be too late."

Looking at Gu Changping, Hong Dou was in a daze.

This seems to be what a father should look like.

After eating, Hongdou and Gu Zian went into the mountain with their respective baskets on their backs.

On Gu Zian's leg was tied the watermelon knife.

The watermelon knife was in a crude leather case, and the stitches were not very good. It should be made by the same person as the clothes Gu Zian was wearing.

Unexpectedly, such an elegant scholar like Gu Changping would know how to do needlework.

But thinking about it, there is no woman around, so naturally I have to do everything by myself.

Hong Dou was thinking wildly in her mind, but when she came back to her senses, she found that she didn't recognize the surrounding scenery. This was not a place where the original owner often dug wild vegetables.

"Little brother, where is this?"

Gu Zian didn't look back when he heard the words, and continued to lead the way, but the voice reached Hongdou's ears, "The wild vegetables outside have almost been dug up. I know there is a place where there should be a lot of wild vegetables."

Hearing what Gu Zian said, Hongdou felt relieved.

For some reason, she always felt that this teenage boy made her feel at ease.

The two walked for about a quarter of an hour before Gu Zian stopped.

Hong Dou looked around, and saw not far ahead, there was a depression in the middle of the woods.

That depression is so green, it must have grown a lot of wild vegetables.

"Brother Xiaoyi, how did you find this place?" Hongdou asked happily.

The corner of Gu Zian's mouth raised slightly, "When I was hunting, I chased a roe deer to this place. This side is remote, and almost no one comes here. It is not close to the inner circle, so there is no need to worry about danger."

When the two said this, they had already entered the depression.

Hongdou squatted down and pawed on the ground a few times, and sure enough, there were a lot of wild vegetables growing in the weeds.

The two of them didn't waste any more time, they put down their baskets and started digging wild vegetables.

Time seemed to pass quickly, and when they were almost done digging, the sun was already shining high above their heads.

"Brother Xiaoyi, let's go back!" Hongdou suggested.

Don't dig too much wild vegetables at a time, or they will rot if you can't finish them.
