Chapter 34

Chapter 2 Section 12 Life is the Pursuit of Happiness

[Russia] Tolstoy
Life is the pursuit of happiness. What people seek, they can get.

When man regards the law of his animal physical existence as the law of his own life, he will see evil manifested in the form of death and pain.Man does not see death and pain unless he descends to the level of the animals, and then death and pain come upon him like a frightful horde from all sides and drive him to a path opened for him, subject to reason. Go on the road of life in which the law is manifested in love.It is only when people violate the laws of their own life that death and pain will appear. For the man who lives according to his own laws, there is neither death nor pain.

"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

"I am meek and lowly in heart. Take my yoke and learn from me. Then you will find rest in your hearts."

"For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
