Chapter 1 The Sad Meow
Yexia Kingdom, the royal hunting ground.

Ru Xiaonan squatted in the cage, resting her forehead with her paws, staring at the dead mouse in front of her with a waning expression.

"Why don't you say it doesn't eat it? It was just caught, it's very fresh..." Two men stood outside the cage, their heads bowed, muttering.

Fresh your sister!
If it weren't for the cage, she would have thrown the dead mouse in their faces.

No matter how fresh it is, it is still a mouse! She would rather starve to death than eat that kind of thing, even if she has somehow turned into a sad cat.

Three days ago, she was a college student who had just graduated and was going back to her hometown to inherit her grandfather's family business. For some reason, when she flipped the string of five-color stone bracelets left by her grandfather, she was suddenly enveloped by strong light. When she woke up, she found that I came to an ancient country I had never heard of, and was locked in a cage and turned into a black beaver.

"It's been three days, and it hasn't eaten anything. If this continues, it will starve to death before the emperor starts hunting." The two men outside were discussing anxiously.

"Maybe it's not to its taste?"

"Didn't it just eat these things before?"

After hearing this, Ru Xiaonan couldn't help but put her head on the edge of the cage, opened her mouth and retched.

As if in this way you can spit out what you ate before.

The two men muttered for a while and then left.

Ru Xiaonan lay in a corner of the cage without moving, the dead mouse was still there, she tried to close her eyes not to think about its existence.

Outside the cage, a white shadow suddenly passed by.

I don't know if it's because after turning into an animal, her reaction became more acute. She erected her ears and opened her eyes vigilantly.

Shiro had disappeared, but the suspicious smell remained in the air.

She was sniffing hard when the two men came back.

"It should be eaten this time." One person opened the cage and threw in a live mouse.

Damn, live rats!

Ru Xiaonan's hair immediately stood up.

You are still not human, how can you treat a lady like this!

The live mouse ran around in fright when it entered the cage, and Ru Xiaonan was also running around at the same time.

At this moment, she had only one thought in the cage: escape! If she stayed here any longer, she would really go crazy.

The two men also panicked when they saw the black beaver slamming into the cage as if frantically frightened by the live mouse.

"Hurry up... don't let it hurt you, or the emperor will find out when he is hunting..."

When the two opened the cage door and were about to get the live mouse out, Ru Xiaonan rushed out like an arrow and grabbed one of them on the back of the hand.

The man withdrew his hand with a cry of pain.

The cage door opened wide, and Ru Xiaonan rushed out without any hindrance.

"Get it now!"

Ru Xiaonan had observed her surroundings carefully in the past few days, and after jumping to the ground, she rushed out of the tent without looking back.

When she came outside the tent, she realized that there were soldiers with weapons everywhere.

Fortunately, she is a fox now, with a flexible body, she slipped under their feet in a few strokes.

There were shouts behind him: "Grab it, grab it!"

"That is a tribute spirit beast from the Qi Kingdom...don't let it get away..."

What is a spirit beast? Is it a very rare species?
Ru Xiaonan climbed up the tree, hid among the leaves, and breathed a sigh of relief.

The soldiers lit torches and searched for its footprints.

It was so dark at night and her fur was black, so it was not so easy for them to spot her.

A group of soldiers passed under the tree where she was hiding, but they did not see her.

Just when she breathed a sigh of relief, a white shadow suddenly flashed among the leaves and rushed towards her like an arrow.

There was a sharp pain in the back of her neck, and a white marten pressed her firmly under her body, biting her neck.

What the hell is this!
Ru Xiaonan exhaled in pain, but what she uttered was a "chirp" sound, which was immature.

She suddenly realized a cruel reality: she was a young beaver, she had not grown into sharp claws, and she couldn't compete with the white mink on her back.

As soon as her claws were loosened, she fell from the tree...
