Living people cannot be called gods in this world. This is not only a principle of religion, but also a principle of modern civilization.I have heard of this before, not from Mr. Feng, nor from Mr. Zhang, but from our political teacher Mr. Tang in class.Thinking back when Zhang Daoling founded Taoism, he regarded Lao Tzu as the patriarch, and he himself did not dare to call him a god in the world. From a religious point of view, this is the most important criterion for distinguishing orthodoxy from cults.If someone gathers people to start a sect, claims to be the leader, proclaims that he is equal to the existence of a god, and is worshiped by people as a god in the world, he is not far from a traitor.At the same time, this also violates the first of the three major precepts in the practice world: Do not confuse the world and shock the world with Taoism and supernatural powers.This kind of situation has existed since ancient times, but it didn't last long, so there is no need to say more about the reasons.Therefore, some careerists have adopted another method, which is to recognize their ancestors indiscriminately.For example, the White Lotus sect follows the Pure Land sect of Buddhism and worships Maitreya Bodhisattva. Although it is neither fish nor fowl, practitioners don't care about it.The most interesting thing is the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, which enshrines the gods of the West, but it combines the clan ideas of China. Hong Xiuquan is called the eldest son of God, Yang Xiuqing is called the second son of God, and the other leaders can be deduced by analogy.Even if this is not a cult, it is no different from heretics.

From the perspective of modern civilization, claiming to be a god in the world often only brings disasters, such as Hitler, and the emperor of Little Japan.Of course, this is not easy for me to understand at a young age.I didn't expect that if I wanted to establish a sect in the practice world, I would first have to face this problem. I couldn't respect myself, but I couldn't respect my elders.Think back then when Zhengyi sect established a sect, it was the sect established by his disciples after Patriarch Zhengyi became immortal.If I start a sect, who can I establish?If I am really Taoist, I can start a generation of ethos, but to establish a school for me, that is the business of my disciples in the future, not my business.This is the rule of the practice world.
