That Sakyamuni came to the Mahavira Hall as if fleeing, and ordered Ananda and Kasyapa to call the Buddhas, Aruo, Jiedi, Bodhisattva, Vajra, monks, nuns and so on.After a while, I saw three thousand Buddhas, five hundred Aruo, the Eight Great Vajras, and the Boundless Bodhisattva brought countless bhikkhus, monks, and nuns, all of whom were holding banners, banners, treasures, and fairy flowers, to the fairyland of Lingshan, the Mahavira Hall.When Sakyamuni saw that everyone had come together, he said, "It's Mengqiu Wangri today. I have a treasure basin with hundreds of strange flowers and fruits in it. I want to share this Yulan basin with you." Yes, how?"

When everyone heard the words, they all insisted on the Buddhist rituals and accepted the order gladly.Sakyamuni immediately took the flowers and fruits in the treasure basin and ordered Anuo to hold them in place and spread them around Kasyapa.After the dispersal was over, Sakyamuni said to the crowd: "I look at the four major continents. All living beings are good and evil, and each side is different. Those who win the Shenzhou in the east respect the heaven and the earth, and their hearts are refreshed; those in the giant Luzhou in the north , although I like to kill, it is just because I make a living. Greedy and happy in misfortune, the more kill the more, it is the so-called fierce field of tongue, a sea of ​​right and wrong. I now have the Tripitaka, which can persuade people to do good. One collection of "Fa" talks about the sky; one collection of "Lun" talks about the earth; Tibet, saving ghosts. There are 35 volumes in the Tripitaka, including 140 volumes. They are the scriptures of cultivation and the door of goodness. I will send them to the east, and the people there will be foolish and slander the truth, and they will not know my method. The purpose of this practice has neglected the authenticity of Yoga.”

Maitreya, a disciple of Sakyamuni, stepped forward and asked, "But I don't know who the World Honored One wants to send to introduce my supreme Buddhist law to the eastern land."

Sakyamuni said: "The poor monk has a new student who speaks sharply, is proficient in Dharma, and what's more rare is that his heart to the Buddha is as firm as a rock. He is the right person."

Upon hearing this, Maitreya asked, "I don't know who this new student is, the teacher?"

Sakyamuni replied: "This person is not someone else, but the golden cicada who spends all day listening to the poor monk's lectures on the bodhi tree outside the temple."

When Maitreya heard the words, he remained silent, and everyone felt that the golden cicada was very suitable.Everyone is a person with profound Buddhist teachings. The golden cicada had long ago developed spiritual consciousness. In order to listen to the Buddha's lectures on Buddhism, he forcibly suppressed his own strength and refused to take shape. It can be seen that the heart of the Buddha is like Sakyamuni As the Tathagata said, the heart to the Buddha is as firm as a rock.He also listened to the Buddha's teachings every day, so he was naturally proficient in Buddhism.I also saw him yelling non-stop all day long, he is the perfect candidate for popularizing Buddhism.

After contemplating for a while, I heard Maitreya say: "But I don't know that the younger brother has gone to the east to spread the Buddhadharma. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Sakyamuni said: "Your brother is going to be reincarnated and recultivated. You have to go to receive his Buddha's seal for him, and you have to step on the road all the way. You are not allowed to walk in Xiaohan. You have to be half cloudy and half foggy. Shanshui, keep in mind the number of journeys and distances." After speaking, he took out a collar of brocade bat cassock and a nine-ringed tin staff to Maitreya, saying: "This cassock and tin staff can be used after reincarnation with your junior brother. Wearing this cassock will prevent Falling into reincarnation; hold this tin staff, not to be poisoned."

He took out three more gold hoops, handed them to Maitreya and said, "This treasure is called a tight hoop. Although they are the same three, they are just used in different ways. I have three spells that are strictly forbidden by gold. If you encounter a supernatural power on the road You must persuade him to learn well and become an apprentice with your junior brother. If he does not obey, you can put this hoop on his head, and the flesh will naturally take root. Recite each mantra according to the spell used, and his eyes will swell Headache, cracked forehead, discipline him to come in." Na Maitreya stepped forward to take it, bowed and retreated.

Then he said to Guanyin Bodhisattva: "Master Guanyin, take that golden cicada to the underworld, and order Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to escort him to reincarnate in Dongsheng Shenzhou Datang, and after 20 years, Maitreya will go to be transformed." Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva also bowed to accept the Buddha's decree, just waiting for the golden cicada to come.Nothing happened at the moment, the Buddha Sakyamuni ordered everyone to retreat, and called the golden cicada to the front, and ordered him and Guanyin Bodhisattva to reincarnate in the underworld.
