2. The Great Wall, Trade, and War
I was born in Hangzhou, and I am [-]% "Made in Hangzhou".

You may ask: Why is Hangzhou the host city of the G20 summit instead of other more famous big cities?My answer is: as early as 44 years ago, Hangzhou was already very famous.

In 1972, then US President Nixon visited Hangzhou.The leaders of China and the United States believe that the two countries should jointly build a better future for the world.And Hangzhou is so lucky, because it was in Hangzhou that the two future world heavyweight leaders reached a comprehensive agreement.The city of Hangzhou has rewritten history.

However, it is regrettable that the "Sino-US Joint Communiqué" was later called the "Shanghai Communiqué" instead of the "Hangzhou Communiqué".If we called the "Sino-US Joint Communiqué" the "Hangzhou Communiqué" 44 years ago, then Hangzhou would have been even more famous than it is today.

I am not representing Alibaba, nor China, but a member of the world's business community.I want to say that the world needs freer trade, more job opportunities, and a more inclusive globalization.

However, there is now a voice in the world that is anti-globalization and anti-free trade.Some people think that globalization is a bad thing, but I don't think so.Globalization is the best thing that happened in the past 30 years, and the problems brought about by globalization now are just pains in the growth process of globalized trade.In the past 20 to 30 years, globalization has served 20% of the world's large companies and developed countries. Is it possible for globalization to serve 80% of small and medium-sized enterprises in the future?

Here's what we can do next.

More than 2000 years ago, China built the Great Wall because of fear of foreign invasion.Today, in the field of global trade, some people advocate to establish new or maintain existing trade barriers to prevent free trade.We can no longer use the methods of more than 2000 years ago to solve today's problems.

In my opinion, trade globalization is not a threat to the economy or employment. Trade globalization itself means more job opportunities and more jobs, as long as we can make globalization go on smoothly.

We need trade.

Hundreds of years ago, world trade was controlled by a few emperors and kings.For the past 50 years, world trade has been controlled by the world's 6 or so large corporations.This means that there are no opportunities left for those small companies, and no opportunities left for developing countries, so we should not oppose free trade, but should come up with a better way to allow free trade to benefit 80% of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Free trade already exists.Some people say that trade is unequal, but I think trade must be voluntary and equal. You cannot force people to buy your products.

Trade is a way to create jobs, trade is a means of communication, but trade is not a weapon.Trade is used to solve commercial problems, not to solve political problems.

We are at a very critical moment.Some people don't like globalization and free trade, but as businessmen, as responsible businessmen, we must stick to our ideas.We must insist on moving the world towards a future of trade globalization and free trade - because we are in the age of the Internet and we have entered the era of new technologies.

Now there are 60 billion Internet users among the 20 billion people in the world.Our children and our next generation are born in the Internet age, and our world is undergoing unprecedented changes.

We need the support of governments around the world, and we need governments to help us formulate more suitable policies, create more suitable policies and environments for small and medium-sized enterprises and young people, and revive the confidence of those who have lost confidence in world trade norms.We need simpler rules for trade, and we need more jobs.

If we want to create more jobs and greater economic growth, we need simpler rules.We need to think creatively about these issues.

We also need action.There is no government that does not support small and medium-sized enterprises, but words are not enough, what we need is action.

In Alibaba, there is a saying: If not me, then who? If not now, then when?Meaning: If not me, then who?If not now, when?
We need to act, we need to act now, to promote trade globalization and free trade.We need to change the rules of trade, we need to create jobs.And I firmly believe that once trade stops, war will come, and only trade can prevent war from happening.

We cannot replace free trade with war.

Today, we live in a very tangled era, but on the other hand, we will find that many companies are thriving and developing.Before recruiting students at Hupan University, after I interviewed 6 young people, I took a deep breath: Fortunately, I started my business 15 years ago. If I started my business today, I would definitely be killed by these boys.Because they use big data and Internet models, I don't quite understand many things they said, and I believe that once I understand, I will panic more and more.

This is an era when governments are trying to transform and innovate.Although many people say that we are looking forward to transformation and upgrading, there is a price to be paid for transformation and upgrading, and this price is beginning to appear.This is the question I've been thinking about the most recently.My conclusion is: any technological change, after many years, will definitely turn into a change in business and society as a whole.What will come out of this technological revolution in which we live?What this technological revolution releases is human wisdom and liberates the human mind.People can hardly imagine what kind of changes this technological revolution will bring to the entire human society in the future.Because of the great changes in the entire technology, because of the generation, discovery and application of data, the business model of human society is changing, which will bring about changes in the economy, politics and even the entire society.

Every technological revolution has a huge impact on business forms, so we must think about it from an organizational perspective.What should our future organizations look like?The organization of the future is no longer just a company hiring employees, employees can also hire companies.Therefore, we have to think ahead, what kind of organization is suitable for the future?What kind of team is suitable for the future?

DT Era Turns IT Enterprises into Traditional Enterprises
I want to focus on the transformation from IT to DT.We have always believed that the transition from IT to DT is nothing more than the improvement of technology. In fact, these are two different eras, and DT is the beginning of a new era.Thinking from a sociological point of view, the IT era is to make yourself stronger, and the DT era is to make others stronger; the IT era is to let others serve you, and the DT era is to let yourself serve others well, and compete with competitors. Some people think that the development of the Internet makes traditional enterprises have no opportunities.Who said that traditional enterprises have no chance?It depends on whether you can act, whether you have such a speed, whether you have such a dream, and whether you can turn all your dreams into reality!

We come together because of our dreams for the future.We believe that as long as we work hard, our dreams will come true one day in the future!

The real opportunity is not taken away, but comes
We will only have a future if each of us believes in what we say, believes in what we think, and believes in what we do.Opportunities are everywhere.Twenty years from now, it will actually be 20 years of rapid development of Internet technology. The next 20 years will be 30 years of Internet technology being integrated into all aspects of the whole society. Only these 30 years will really contain huge opportunities for entrepreneurship.

We are entering a new era of resource integration. The core resources of this era are not only oil, but also the management, analysis and application of big data.China is now a big computer country, not a big computing country, but I believe that China will definitely become a big computing country.

Now, big data has become an important means of production, and the future productivity is the analysis and application ability of big data and the innovation ability and entrepreneurial spirit of all entrepreneurs.
