Chapter 117 Master Xuanzang's Westward Journey Begins

Chapter 117 Master Xuanzang's Westward Journey Begins

Once upon a time, there was a skyless monkey in the sky. One day he annoyed the Jade Emperor in the sky, so the Jade Emperor demoted him to the mortal world.

Until five hundred years later, one day after 100 years, the reincarnation of a golden cicada under the seat of a Western Tathagata Buddha passed by here. He will rescue this monkey and go to the West to learn scriptures together.

The origin of the whole Journey to the West is as follows:
One day, Master Xuanzang, the reincarnated monk of Jin Chanzi, the great disciple of the Buddha, was taking a bath, no, he was taking a bath, and other monks in the temple were knocking on wooden fish.

A middle-aged man in a Chinese robe came outside the temple. He looked very heroic, but looked haggard. One of his two attendants looked fierce and the other looked heroic.

The two Xuanzang saw that they were military generals. Master Xuanzang, who had been extraordinary since he was a child, felt the strong murderous aura from them, and his heart trembled. out of existence.

Datang is a big country in Nanzhan Buzhou. Well, its bigness does not mean its large area, but that Datang's national strength is very strong. It can be called the crown of Nanzhan Buzhou.

Because it is located in the east of Nanzhan Buzhou, it is called Dongtu Tang Dynasty.

(Among the four continents, Dongsheng Shenzhou and Beiju Luzhou do not border on Nanzhan Buzhou, so in the eyes of ordinary people in Xiniu Hezhou and Nanzhan Buzhou, Datang is the land of the extreme east)
The three of them found the temple because the leader had fought too many battles in his life and had an excess of killing spirit, but he himself has been busy with affairs in recent years and has no time to practice martial arts, which caused the gradual weakening of blood and attracted demons and ghosts Every day, he had nightmares again and again, and even traveled to the underworld, seeing with his own eyes those souls killed by him.

The magistrate of that prefecture knew his subordinate Wei Zheng well, so he helped him escape and advised him to organize a water and land ceremony to save those souls.

After the man returned to the sun, he looked around for eminent monks, but none of them had the strength to transform evil spirits. This made the man very worried, and he became worried about the effectiveness of the Water and Land Ceremony.

Later, this person heard that there was an eminent monk in the Jinguang Temple in Chang'an City, so he came to invite him.

Master Xuanzang, out of compassion, saw that the man was generous and offered a lot of sesame oil money, so he agreed.

A few days later, a grand water and land ceremony was held, and eminent monks from all over the Tang Dynasty gathered one after another. They gathered together to talk about the scriptures and the transcendence of the scriptures. It is really grand.

Only then did Master Xuanzang discover that the man was actually the emperor of the Tang Dynasty.

When the water and land meeting started, many monks chanted scriptures together, and the causal line hidden in Tang Wang Li Shimin's body was revealed, but those scriptures could not save Qi, but increased his power. He even offended a ghost dragon alive. (As for who the dragon is, let’s figure it out yourself. I won’t introduce it)

The ghost dragon is a god in front of him, and his resentful spirits will not disperse after death, so how could the Hinayana scriptures in this mortal world be able to pass through, and even if he appeared, he would make a fuss endlessly.

Seeing that the scriptures were invalid, those eminent monks dared to stay where they were, and fled in all directions. The ghost dragon immediately let out wild laughter and rushed towards King Tang.

Master Xuanzang is timid by nature, (in Journey to the West he is always frightened by monsters), so he just stays where he is and dare not move. The Tang king sees that all the monks have run away, and he is the only one who does not move. Immediately, he was overjoyed, thinking it was a capable monk, he hurriedly hid behind him, and shouted: "Saint monk, save me."

Xuanzang groaned inwardly, seeing the ghost dragon getting closer and closer, his body would not listen to his commands, Amitabha uttered a cry, and he closed his eyes, he is waiting for death.

His style can be said to be extremely profound, in the eyes of ordinary people, his figure suddenly turned into a towering height, but he didn't think that the ghost dragon had already seen through his reality, so he would not be afraid of him, but he jumped on it .

Unexpectedly, there was an old monk hidden in the crowd, the old monk was none other than Guanyin Bodhisattva, he saw that Xuanzang didn't move, and said that he had the fearless sacrifice spirit of the Buddha who cut flesh and fed eagles, he could see Nodding secretly, thinking that Xuanzang, who has gone through ten reincarnations, already possessed the courage to learn scriptures from the Western Paradise, he was overjoyed immediately, and saw the ghost dragon rushing towards Xuanzang, naturally he waved his hand casually, that is, with just that wave, the ghost dragon It turned into fly ash when it rushed in front of Xuanzang.

Afterwards, the king of Tang naturally took Xuanzang, who had already frightened him into a fool, to parade around the streets, and then met the monk transformed by Guanyin Bodhisattva, and wanted to buy the precious cassock and staff for him.

This Avalokitesvara originally wanted to cross Xuanzang to the west, so how could he sell the staff and cassock to him, so the only way is that Xuanzang had a predestined relationship with the Buddha, and gave it to him, and then turned into his true form, pretending to be forced Under the circumstances, it was revealed that there are Mahayana Buddhist scriptures in the Western Paradise, and there is a method to completely transform evil spirits.

The king of Tang was worrying about the evil spirit, he was overjoyed immediately, and asked who could learn from him, because those monks ran away during the water and land ceremony, and the king of Tang was very disappointed with him, and it was too late to punish him, so how could he come Above this hall.

The people in the whole hall are looking at the nose, and the nose is watching Xuanzang. The meaning could not be clearer, there is only one monk here, whoever you don't want to go.

Who are the people in this lobby?Qin Shubao, Yu Chigong, Cheng Yaojin and others who crawled out of the mountain of corpses and sea of blood, and Wen Zheng and others who were so powerful that they ascended to heaven, my fellow, how can Xuanzang bear this pressure? , Immediately came forward and said: "The poor monk is not talented, and I am willing to do the work of a dog and a horse. Get back the scriptures for your majesty, so as to protect my king forever."

The king of Tang was overjoyed immediately, as expected of a virtuous eminent monk, so he immediately became a brother with Master Xuanzang, made him a royal brother, gave him a purple gold bowl, sent some entourages as a gift of white horse luggage, and asked them to escort the monk. Xuanzang traveled westward.

This master Xuanzang was also very upright, and he directly swore an oath, vowing his determination to learn scriptures for the king of Tang. The king of Tang was overjoyed and married him the beautiful name of Tang Sanzang. The mage said: "It only takes three years to retrieve the scriptures for His Majesty."

The king of Tang was overjoyed immediately, and let Master Sanzang go back to the monastery to rest and recuperate without mentioning it.

When Tang Sanzang returned to Jinguang Temple, he met his group of young disciples. Their disciples were all admiring that he was about to go west. Sanzang stayed in the temple for the last night. Before leaving, the disciples asked: "Master Heh, I have heard people say that there are more tigers, leopards and demons in the far west. I am afraid that if there is no return, it will be difficult to save your life."

Sanzang felt bitter in his heart, and there was a trace of firmness in his eyes. He said: "I have made a great vow. If I don't take the scriptures, I will fall into hell forever. It is probably because of the king's favor that I have to be loyal to the ears of the country. I hereby Going is really vague, good or bad is uncertain." He said again: "Apprentices, after I go, maybe three or two years, or five or seven years, I will come back if I see that the pine branches in the mountain gate are facing east; otherwise, I will definitely not return. That's it." All the disciples remembered these words vividly.

Before leaving, the king of Tang gave him another fine wine mixed with the native land, and there was a hint of anticipation in his expression.

Tang Sanzang sighed, he didn't know whether it was for himself or the king of Tang, but he turned around and rode away on the white horse.
