Chapter 15 Peter Niu Niu
Once upon a time, there lived a couple of farmers in Denmark. They had a very good farm, and the farm was always prosperous. They became rich, but unfortunately they had no children. The couple often grieves that they do not have children to inherit their fortune.

One year they had a very sweet calf and named them Peter. The couple have never seen such a cute calf, it is so beautiful, so smart, and it can understand everything said to it.The little cow is also very docile, which brings infinite fun to the couple. They love it very much and love it like their own child.

One day the farmer said to his wife, "I was wondering if our parish deacon could teach Peter to speak, and if it did, we could adopt him as our son and let him inherit all our property."

"Oh, I don't know if it will work," said the wife, "but our parish deacon is very learned, and I'm more convinced that he can teach Peter to speak, because Peter is so smart! At least you can ask him Bar!"

The farmers came to the deacon and asked him if he could teach their calf to talk, because they very, very much wanted the calf to be the heir.

The deacon looked around and saw that no one was eavesdropping, so he said to him, "Yes, I can do it easily, but you can't tell anyone. This matter must be done quietly, and the priest must not know, otherwise I'm in trouble because it's forbidden. And you're going to have to spend some money, you're going to have to buy some very expensive books."

It doesn't matter, farmers say, they don't care how much it costs. The deacon asked for one hundred dollars as the first payment for the book. The farmer also swore not to tell anyone, and only brought his cows here at night.

He gave the deacon a hundred dollars on the spot.At night, he brought the calf, and the deacon promised to do his best.A week later, he came to the deacon again to inquire about the situation of the calf. But the deacon said he couldn't see Peter, otherwise when he left, Peter would miss him very much and forget everything he had learned. He is doing well now, but needs another hundred dollars and more books. With the money on his person, the farmer gave another hundred dollars to the deacon, and went home hopeful.

Another week passed, and the farmer came to know about Peter's learning progress.

"It's going well," said the deacon.

"I suppose he won't say anything?" asked the farmer.

"Oh, a little," replied the deacon. "He can say 'moo' now."

"Do you think he will continue to study?" asked the farmer.

"Yes," said the deacon, "but I still need a hundred dollars for books. Peter can't learn well with the books he has."

"Oh, well," said the farmer, "you'll have to spend what you need."

So he gave the deacon a third hundred dollars for books, and a cask of good ale for Peter. But the deacon drank the ale himself, and let the cow drink the milk, which he thought was very good.

Weeks passed, and the farmer didn't ask about the calf again. He was afraid that the deacon would ask for another hundred dollars, which would cost so much money, and he began to feel uncomfortable. But the deacon felt that the cow had grown fat enough, so he killed it.When all the beef had been stripped, the deacon put on his black clothes and went to the farmer's house.

After saying hello, he asked, "Is Peter back?"

"No, he didn't come back," said the farmer. "He ran away, didn't he?"

"I hope he's not so damned," said the deacon. "I've spent so much time and money teaching him, I've spent at least a hundred dollars myself on books for him. What's he trying to say now?" That's all. Today he said he wanted to see his parents. I wanted to make him happy, but I was worried that he couldn't find his way home, so I went to pack up and prepare to accompany him home. But when I came out, Peter himself has gone first. I thought he came back, but he hasn't come home now, so I don't know where he went."

Seeing Peter, who could have given them endless joy, disappeared like this, and the couple were very sad to think that they had spent so much money on his studies.Worst of all, now they have no heirs! The deacon continued to comfort them, saying that he was also very sad when Peter did this. He could have received high honors for teaching such students.Maybe Peter just got lost, and next Sunday he'll be asking everyone at church to see if anyone has seen him. Then he said good-bye to the couple and went home to enjoy a delicious roast beef.

The deacon happened to subscribe to a newspaper during this time, and one day he read an article in the newspaper about a businessman who had just settled down in a small town far away, and his name happened to be Peter Niuniu. He packed the newspaper and went to the peasant couple, who had been mourning the loss of their heir.He read the message to them, and said, "Now I just wonder if this could be your bully Peter?"

"Oh, yes, of course he," the farmer was excited, "who else?"

The wife also excitedly shouted at her husband: "You must go immediately and find him, it must be him, I am [-]% sure it is him! Bring more money, he is a businessman now, maybe he needs cash, Who knows!"

The next day, the farmer set out for the small town mentioned in the newspaper with a bag of money on his back, some sandwiches and a pipe in his mouth. The place was far enough away that it took him many days to get there. On the day he arrived in the small town, just after dawn, he found the place mentioned in the newspaper and asked the merchant if he was at home.Oh, he's home, they say, but he's not up yet!
"It doesn't matter," said the farmer, "I am his father, take me to his bedroom!"

He was led into the bedroom, and as soon as he saw the merchant he recognized at once his bull Peter.Same broad forehead, same thick neck, same red hair, only in other ways he looks like a human being now!He rushed over directly and hugged the businessman tightly: "Oh, Peter! Your mother and I just gave you such a good education, why did you just leave like this, do you know how sad mother and I are? Get up soon , let me take a good look at you and talk to you!"

The businessman thought it was a madman, and thought it best to deal with it calmly.

"Okay," he said, "I'll get up." He got out of bed and dressed quickly.

"Wow!" exclaimed the farmer excitedly, "now I understand how clever the deacon is. Look how he has trained you, and you look exactly like a human being! If you don't know, you will never be able to imagine you." It was born by our red heifer! Come home with me now, will you?"

"Not yet," said the merchant, "I don't have time yet, and I'm in the middle of a big deal!"

"But you're going to have a big farm right away, you know," said the farmer, "we old people have to rest. But if you want to be in business, of course you can go on. So what else do you need?"

"Oh, yes," said the merchant, "I need money so badly now, and merchants always need money to do business."

"I understand that very well," said the farmer. "After all, you are self-made. I brought some money, and you use it first." He dumped all the money in his pocket on the table, which was covered with money.

When the businessman saw it, wow, it turns out that this man is not an ordinary person, so he spoke to him in a good tone, and asked him to stay for a while before leaving, saying that they would have more time to talk properly.

"Very well," said the farmer, "but you must call me Papa."

"Both my parents have passed away," said Peter Niuniu.

"I know," said the farmer, "that your real father was sold to Hamburg last year on Michaelmas, and that your real mother died giving birth to a calf this spring. But my wife and I have adopted you as Our son is gone, and you are our only heir, so you must call me Dad."

Peter Niuniu is willing to call him daddy, so that he can have all the money. What's more, the farmers made their wills before they went home, leaving him everything they had. After the farmer returned home, he told his wife the whole process.

The wife was so happy, this Peter Niu Niu is really their little Niu Niu Peter!
"You've got to tell the deacon now," she said, "and give him back the hundred dollars he spent on our son. That's a lot of money he's made, and he's raised our son for us, Taught our heir!"

The farmer agreed with his wife, and he went to the deacon, thanked him for all he had done, and gave him two hundred dollars. Then he sold the farm and came to the small town with his wife to live with their dear son. They gave him all their property and lived with him until their old age.
