Chapter 67

After thanking him, Hu Tu saw that the old monk didn't want to stand up, so he sat cross-legged on the ground and asked, "Master, is there anything you want to ask me?" The possible encounter when the secret in his heart was exposed, at this moment, he hoped that he did not wake up.

People are always like this, no matter what situation they face, they will always be disappointed, thinking that it would be better if they changed their appearance.

The old monk said lightly: "Little friend, if you don't tell me, why should I ask?" His voice was very clear, without any other things mixed in, so that people can ignore the oldness in his voice. It seems that compared with him, everyone has become a person who lives in a hurry.

Hu Tu was taken aback for a moment, and with just one simple sentence, he could tell that this old monk was extraordinary. This kind of feeling can only be known by personal experience. From just one sentence, you can hear the purity and sincerity of the other party. But because of personal reasons, he couldn't be honest, which made him a little guilty.

He glanced around and said again: "Master, do you know what happened to me?" He really wanted to know how many secrets the master knew about him, which determined what he should say next. This is a matter of life and death for him, and he has to treat it with caution.

The old monk smiled and said, "If you don't tell me, how will I know." He didn't make wild guesses, although with his wisdom, he could guess many things.

He looked very old, the wrinkles on his face were sticking to his face like old bark, his body was still strong, and he was in a good state of mind.A person of his age must have experienced many things and see through many secrets, but he never said it.

Hu Tu scratched the back of his head, he didn't know what to say to such an old man who saw through the world and was so real.If he asked, he could make up some reasons according to the question, but the old monk just waited for him to explain it himself, and he didn't know where to start making it up.

Wang Pinqiu pushed Hu Tu lightly, and said: "Master is asking you something, why are you staring blankly, why did you sit here just now, for so long?"

She brought up the topic, but looked at the old monk. The smarter the person, the more he can see the extraordinaryness of the old monk, and the more he will be influenced by the old monk.In front of the old monk, she felt unprecedented tranquility. She liked this tranquility and cleanliness, as if the whole world slowed down, and then she lived freely in the slow world, no longer worrying about the distance.

"I feel like it hasn't been long." Hu Tu looked up at the sun, and took out his phone to check the time. "Ah, I just sat for almost three hours. Is it true?" He was astonished, as if he couldn't believe it This is true, "but I feel like it's only been ten minutes." He has uncovered a corner of the matter.

"Of course it's true. Look at your phone call records. I called you three times." Wang Pinqiu twitched his lips.Hearing Hu Tu's complaint, her pure heart was suddenly disturbed again. It was not her own cultivation, so she couldn't maintain it forever.

"If I said that I just fell asleep and had a dream, would you believe me?" Hu Tu asked nervously. This was the best excuse he could think of after searching his brains. He didn't tell the truth, and he didn't tell all the lies. He only hid the secret, and told the truth about the rest. "It's just that my dream is very special and real."

The old monk nodded and asked back, "Little friend, do you have a Bodhisattva in your dream?"

Hu Tu nodded fiercely and said, "There are Bodhisattvas, and you?"

The young monk beside the old monk said: "Amitabha, did the almsgiver know us before? How could he dream of us?" He had many doubts in his heart, especially seeing Hu Tu's hesitation when he spoke, which made him unable to fully believe what Hu Tu said .

"I didn't know each other before, and I didn't see your faces in my dream." Then Hu Tu cut off the head and tail, and talked about the scene he saw after his soul came out of his body, including five statues of Manjushri Bodhisattva, just like a long-exposure photo Pedestrians, as well as the old monk and his five highlights.

Recalling those things now, he can think more clearly. The pedestrians he saw should be tourists passing by, but the time has been sped up.As for the five bright spots he saw, he guessed that they were the relics produced in the old monk's body, and he secretly thought that he had practiced deeply.

The young monk looked ecstatically, looking at the old monk, wanting to say something, but held back.Probably wanted to congratulate, but thought that the old monk probably didn't like such congratulations, so he didn't say it.

"Amitabha, so good!" The old monk suddenly recited the Buddha's name with a happy expression on his face.Hu Tu thought that he was happy because of the relics, but he never thought of him and said, "I saw a Bodhisattva in a dream again today. Congratulations. My little friend, you have a great fate with my Buddha. Would you like to enter my Buddhist gate?"

Being sincerely invited by such a great master, Hu Tu was very flustered. He shook his head like a rattle and said eagerly: "I don't want to be a monk. In fact, this is the first time I have come to a Buddhist hall. I didn't expect to encounter such a thing, in fact, I just came to make soy sauce."

He doesn't match his words, but every sentence expresses the same meaning, that is, he refuses to become a monk. All he thinks about in his mind is the colorful world, his family, friends and his favorite object, so he is not willing to see through it.

The old monk was not dissatisfied with Hu Tu's refusal. He said, "It's good for you to go to the world to cultivate. Always keep good thoughts, and the Bodhisattva will guide you." Then he read a few Buddhist poems, "I have A bright pearl, locked away by the dust for a long time. Now the dust is full of light, and it shines through the mountains and rivers."

Hu Tu was confused when he heard it, but saw that the old monk was easy to speak, thought about it, and asked, "Master, is that merit or spiritual energy?" He asked endlessly, but he believed that the old monk could understand his question .

The old monk really understood what he was asking, and replied: "All benefactors are sincere to the Buddha, and the Buddha is also sincere to all benefactors. There is no merit at all. The Dharma is nothing but seeking. Bodhi comes from your afflictions, and afflictions are Bodhi."

Hu Tu was confused again, but he remembered everything. He wanted to get more advice, and asked again: "Master, you didn't lie to me, right? Isn't it the power of merit that pervades this Buddhist temple?"

The old monk smiled and said: "Purify your mind, empty your body, don't be greedy, and don't seek from the world. Amitabha!" Then he stood up with the support of the young monk beside him, stopped the crowd from following, and slowly walked away.He walked very slowly, but everyone looked at him, as if there was a great Zen in that slow step.

Then Hu Tu heard the old monk's dharma name from the crowd—Pu Yuan, he is 101 years old, very senior, and behind him in Dharma practice. But he seldom goes out and doesn't ask about world affairs, so few people know him.

"No wonder it's so powerful, it feels like he's seen through it." Hu Tu thought to himself, "It's also a good thing he doesn't ask about worldly affairs, otherwise it would be troublesome if he revealed my secret!"
