Chapter 36 Aspen

Chapter 36 Aspen (2)
"It was the same last time I was skiing in Gstaad," Taylor told Kelly.Kelly thought, "Samantha Jones would be perfect with him."

"Baby, can you pass me the salt?" Mr. Big patted Kelly's leg.

Kelly leaned over and kissed Mr. Big lightly. "Excuse me," she said.

She got up and went to the bathroom, her heart pounding. "If I wasn't with Bigger, maybe..." She was in a daze to herself. But soon she came back to her senses and began to review her thoughts.

When she came out of the bathroom, she saw Tyler and Bigger smoking a cigar together.

"Hey baby, you'd never guess it," Mr. Bigger said. "Taylor wants to take us out on snowshoes. Then we can go racing at his house."

"Racing car?" Kelly asked puzzled.

"There is a lake in my house, the ice is very solid, and I can play ice racing."

"Don't you think it's great?" Mr. Big asked.

"Well," Kelly said, "it was really good!"

That night, Mr. Big and Kelly dined with Stanford and Suzanne. No matter what Suzanne said, Stanford would come over and talk to Big and Kelly. "Don't you think she's perfect?" He held Suzanne's hand, and Suzanne withdrew her hand, raised her glass, and said with a smile, "Stanford, you are such a fool."

"I'm glad to see you finally turned your back on the light," said Mr. Bigger.

"Are you sure?" Susannah said.

"I'll always be a 'little subject', okay, are you satisfied?" Stanford said.

Kelly went outside to smoke a cigarette.A woman comes up to her and asks, "Can I borrow a fire?" Kelly finds out she's Bridget, the nasty woman at last summer's bridal shower.

"Kelly?" she said. "Is that you?"

"Bridget," Kelly said, "what are you doing here?"

"I'm here to ski," Bridget said, looking around cautiously, as if afraid of being discovered. "I came with my husband and no children. The children are in the care of my mother."

"But aren't you pregnant again?" Kelly asked.

"Miscarriage," Bridget said. She looked around again, and then asked Kelly, "Do you have any extra cigarettes? Can I have one?"

"Of course," Kelly said.

"I haven't smoked in years. But I need this now," she continued, taking a deep puff. "When I wasn't quitting, I only smoked red Marlboros."

Kelly smiled mockingly and said, "Of course." She threw the cigarette butt down the aisle and crushed it with her boot.

"Can you keep a secret for me?" Bridget asked.

"Okay..." Kelly said. "Well," said Bridget, drawing the cigarette deeply into his lungs, "I didn't come home last night."

"Oh." Kelly thought, why are you telling me this?

"No, I mean, I didn't go back to the hotel."

"Oh." Kelly replied.

"Well... I wasn't with my husband last night. I was out by myself. In Snowmass."

"Got it," Kelly said, nodding. "Are you going to, uh, do drugs?"

"No no," Bridget said, "I'm with a man. Not my husband."

"You mean you..."

"Yes, I slept with him."

"It's amazing," Kelly said. She lit another cigarette.

"I haven't slept with another man for 15 years. Well, it could have been seven years," Brigitte said, "but I recently wanted to divorce my husband. I just met this perfect ski instructor. I thought to myself, I can't go on like this forever. So I told my husband I was going out, and I went to see him, the ski instructor, Justin. I went to the bar in Snowmass to meet him, and I talked to He went back to his apartment. We had sex all night."

"Well, does your husband know?" Kelly asked.

"I told him this morning when I got back to the hotel. But what can he do with me? He's done everything."

"My God!" Kelly said.

"He's in the restaurant," Brigitte said. "He was devastated. I told Justin I'd see him later." Bridget took the last cigarette in the pack. "You know, I always thought you were the only one who understood me," she said. "I was going to call you as soon as I got back. We should get together and have a girlfriends night."

"Great idea," Kelly said, thinking, I need this.

"My feet are cold"

Tyler and Locke take them on a snowshoe ride.Taylor and Mr. Big were driving too fast, and a lot of people shouted at them disapprovingly.Mr. Big then puts Kelly on the back of the snowmobile and takes her on a wild ride.Kelly was terrified that the car would roll over and kept screaming for him to stop.

A few days later, they went to Taylor's house together. It was a small castle in the forest that used to belong to a porn star. The floor of the room was covered with bearskin rugs, and the walls were decorated with animal head decorations. They drink tequila, shoot arrows, and race cars.Kelly wins every time. Then they went out for a walk in the forest.

"I want to go back, my feet are a little cold," said Mr. Bigger.

"Who told you not to wear snowshoes?" Kelly said. She stood by the stream, kicking snow cubes into the water with her boots. "Don't do that," said Mr. Bigger, "you'll slip."

"Nope," Kelly said, kicking around, watching the snow melt in the stream, "I always liked that when I was a kid."

Taylor stood behind them. "Always look beyond yourself and see where the limit is," he said.Kelly turned her head and met Taylor's gaze.

On their last night at Taylor's, they went to a party at Bob Minogue's.Bob is a famous Hollywood movie star. His house is on the other side of the hill, so guests have to park at the foot of the hill and drive over on snowmobiles.Although it is the middle of winter and snow is falling, Japanese lanterns are hung high in the villa and courtyard. To enter the living room, you have to walk across a small bridge, and there are koi swimming by the bridge.

Bob Minogue was talking in front of the fireplace. His girlfriend and soon-to-be-divorced wife were also nearby, looking like twin girls, except that the wife was five years older than the girlfriend.Bob was only five feet tall, wearing a coat over thermal underwear, and pointed-toed felt boots that made him look like an elf.

"I work out six hours a day..." he was about to go on, but Stanford cut him off abruptly. "May I ask," he said, "who did you hire to design the interior of your private jet?"

Bob glared at him.

"I'm serious," Stanford said, "I'm going to buy a private jet and I'm looking for the right designer."

Kelly sat at the table, enjoying the mountain of stone crab legs and shrimp. She whispered to Locke as she ate, whispered about the partygoers, made fun of them, like two obnoxious gossips.Mr. Big sat on Kelly's other side, chatting with Tyler. There are two women who are jealous over Taylor.Kelly looks at them and thinks it's a good thing I don't have to deal with this traumatic thing.

She focused on the shrimp in front of her.Suddenly there was a small commotion in the house, and a blonde girl walked in, waving and saying hello to everyone.Kelly thought her accent was odd, but familiar. "No way," Kelly thought, and I recognized the voice. She decided to ignore it.

The girl came straight up and sat on Mr. Big's lap. They talked and laughed loudly, and Kelly buried herself in her food.Someone asked Mr. Big: "How long have you two known each other?"

"Don't remember. How long?" the girl asked Mr. Big.

"Two years?" said Mr. Bigger.

"We met at the Palace Hotel, in Paris," said the girl.

Kelly turned her head and smiled. "Hi Ray. How did you guys meet? Did you give him your signature blowjob in the corner?"

The room was silent for a few seconds, then everyone laughed hysterically - except Ray. "What did you say? What do you mean?" she demanded Kelly in that stilted accent.

"You're kidding," Kelly said, "you don't get it?"

"Honey, if you call that humorous, I don't think it's funny at all."

"Really?" Kelly said, "It's a pity, everyone seems to think it's so funny. Listen, I don't want to talk to you, please move off of my boyfriend."

"You shouldn't have said that," said Mr. Big, getting up and leaving.

"Damn!" Kelly cursed secretly. She looks for him everywhere, only to end up in yet another commotion.Stanford stood in the room yelling.A blond man stood in front of him, and Bonn behind him.

"You shameless bitch!" Stanford said to Bonn. "Hasn't anyone ever told you how bitch you are? Would you even want this kind of crap?"

"Hey," Bonn said, "I just met this guy. He invited me to this party. He's just a friend."

"Oh, please shut up," Stanford said. "Please. Somebody get me a drink so I can splash it in this bitch's face."

Ray starts pestering Skip. "I've always wanted to have my own TV show," she said. "By the way, did I tell you I had a baby? You can do whatever you want, and now I know a lot of tricks — no woman can do that." kind of."

Afterwards, Kylie called everyone to the bathroom to smoke weed. When they came out, Kelly and Mr. Big started dancing like crazy, and everyone came up to them and said, "You two are the best dancers."

It was one o'clock in the morning when they came out of the party.Everyone scattered back home. After Kelly went back, she kept drinking and smoking marijuana until she couldn't stand up.She threw up in the bathroom for a while, lay limp on the floor, and then threw up again.Mr. Big came in and tried to hold her head. Kelly said vaguely, "Don't 'fat' me." Mr. Big managed to get Kelly into the bedroom, but she crawled out of bed and ran Went to the bathroom to throw up again. Finally she crawled back into the bedroom and lay down on the floor. After resting for a while, she barely raised her head and climbed onto the bed with difficulty. She knew her hair was dirty and covered in vomit, but she couldn't care less. After a while she passed out.

On this cold winter night, the air is crisp and crisp.Stanford Bratch arrives at Aspen Airport, lingering around private jets.He passed the Learjet, he passed the Cessna, he passed the Gulfstream and the Challenger. He stroked the number on the tail, looking for the plane he was familiar with, a plane that could take him home immediately.

she cried

"I'm not stupid," Mr. Big said to Kelly. They were on their way back to Manhattan - first class.

"I know," Kelly said.

Mr. Big took a sip of the Bloody Mary.He pulled out a paperback book. "You know, I'm sensitive."

"Aha," Kelly said, "what do you think of this book?"

"Not very appealing to me."

"Of course it doesn't attract you," Kelly said, "that's why you make so much money."

"I'm never fooled by appearances. I know everything," Mr. Big said. "I know you like that guy."

Kelly took a sip of her drink and said, "Uh, what man?"

"You know who I'm talking about, Tyler."

"Taylor?" Kelly responded, and took out the book she brought, "I think he's nice and interesting, you know that. But what does that mean?"

"You like him," Mr. Big said flatly. He also opened his book.

Kelly flipped the pages and pretended to be reading. "The kind of liking as a friend."

"I can see it clearly there. You don't have to lie to me," he said.

"Well," Kelly said, "he was attractive to me. Just a little bit." But once the words came out she regretted it.She suddenly found Taylor unattractive.

"I'm not a kid." Mr. Big put down his book, crossed his legs, and picked up the magazine on the plane. "I don't mind at all. I don't feel hurt or anything. You go back, go back to him and live with him in his castle. You can live there all day and play archery and stuff."

"But I don't want to live in a castle at all," Kelly said. She turned to the porthole, put her face in her hands and began to sob. "Why are you doing this to me?" she asked. "You want to dump me, so you put these things on me. You just don't want me."

"You said he attracted you."

"I only said a little bit," Kelly sobbed, "and you made me say it. I knew it was going to happen, I knew it." She whimpered. "When we first met him I knew you'd think I liked him, but if you didn't I wouldn't have thought about whether I liked him or not. So I had to try and act like I didn't like him Just to keep you from getting angry. The most stupid thing is that I never liked him from the beginning, not at all."

"I don't believe it," said Mr. Bigger.

"It's true, man!" Kelly said. She turned her head away and cried even harder. Then she leaned over and said loudly in his ear, "You know I love you like crazy. I don't want to be with anyone else at all. It's not fair! You're not fair to me like this!" She opened the book.

Mr. Big patted her hand. "Forget it," he said.

"Now I'm angry," she said.

Two days later, Kelly got a call from Samantha Jones. "How?" she said.

"What's the matter?" Kelly asked.

"Has there been any big progress in Aspen?" Samantha's voice was so gentle that it made one's skin crawl.

"What do you mean?" Kelly asked.

"I thought you were going to get engaged there."

"No way," Kelly said. She leaned against the back of the chair and put her feet on the table, "What are you thinking?"
