"Xu Gua Zhuan" said: "Those who follow others with joy will have troubles, so they are treated with Gu. The Gu is also a matter." "Gu" is the food in the dish, which is corrupt and worms, which symbolizes the peaceful and prosperous times, the collapse of order, Chaos ensues, accidents happen.Happy and easy-going, and finally addicted to happiness, leading to corruption. When troubles occur, you must cut off the corruption with the determination of a strong man to heal, and you must take risks; "First A three days, then A three days." It is not easy to understand.In other words, it is a suitable date for sacrifices. It is said in "Li Si·Qu Li": "The sacrifices in the ancestral temple are on the soft day." It is an even-numbered soft day. "Hanshu" In the imperial edict of the fifth year of Yuanding in the reign of Emperor Wu, this sentence is quoted, which refers to the date of sacrifice.It is said that A is the beginning of the ten stems, which is extended to the origin of the event. The first three or three days of A are Xin, Tongxin, which means self-renewal, and the last three days of A are Ding.It means Ding Ning.The first three days of A mean that things are booming and declining, and they are about to collapse. You should have a new spirit beforehand, thinking that something will happen soon.Try to prevent it before it happens; the last three days of A mean that the incident was not serious when it first happened, and you should observe it repeatedly, pay attention not to repeat the same mistakes, and rescue them in time.In short, extreme joy begets sorrow, prosperity must decline, this is a great opportunity for ambitious people to display their ambitions, and it is worth taking risks. They should think over and over again with a renewed spirit, and Ding Ning is engaged in it.

"Xuan" said: Gu, just go up and then go down softly, stop when it is flat, Gu.Gu, "Yuanheng", and the rule of the world. "Benefits involved in the great river", there are always things going on. "First Jia for three days, and then Jia for three days", the end has a beginning, and the sky moves.

The upper hexagram of the Gu hexagram is "Gen" and the lower hexagram is "Xun".Therefore, it is said that the upper and lower are not able to communicate, and the image of confusion will soon occur.Explained by changing hexagrams, Gu hexagram is the "ninth day" rigid line of the Ben hexagram, which rises to "two", and the soft line of "six second", which descends to "beginning", is the "ninth five" rigid line of the Jing hexagram. The yin line that rises to "Shang" and "Shangda" descends to "Five", which is also the "ninth day" and "six second", "ninth five" and "shangliu" of the Jiji hexagram, and they are interchanged with each other. Just rising and falling softly, it becomes Gu Gua, just rising and falling softly, so as to alienate barriers.Looking at the upper and lower hexagrams, the lower hexagram "Xun" means obedience, and the upper hexagram "Gen" means stop. Those who are below are submissive and obedient, and those who are above are stagnant, and they will inevitably become corrupt. Therefore, it is named "Gu".

However, corruption itself contains Yuanshi and prosperity.As a result of the evolution, the world will rebuild its order. "It is beneficial to involve the great river" means that the world is in chaos, and it is the time to move forward and make a difference. "First Jia three days, then Jia three days" means that when the chaos ends, peace begins. This is the law of the movement of celestial bodies.

"Xiang" said: "There is wind at the foot of the mountain, Gu; a gentleman uses it to inspire the people and cultivate virtue."The upper hexagram "Gen" is the mountain, and the lower hexagram "Xun" is the wind. The wind blows towards the mountain, and the vegetation and fruits are scattered, which is the image of decay. "Zuo Zhuan" in the 15th year of Duke Xi, during the Qin and Jin conquests, his apprentice father divination, and got the "Gu" hexagram. He explained: "The inner hexagram of the Gu is the wind, and the outer hexagram is the mountain. After a year here, it becomes autumn. We can pick up the fallen fruit now."

When things go bad, one cannot just sit and wait, one has to do something; therefore, a gentleman should imitate this spirit, inspire the people, and cultivate morality.

Sixth day of the lunar month: The Gu of godfather, have a son, take the test without blame, and the end of life is auspicious.

"Xiang" said: "The Gu of godfather", which means "examination".

"Gu" is the cause of the corruption of the predecessors, so each branch talks about parents. "gan" means the trunk, turning into the backbone. The original meaning of "kao" is old, which refers to the deceased father and also refers to the living father.For example, in "Book of Books Kangfa", there is "a big injury to test the heart". "Youzi" refers to a talented son. The "sixth day" is the beginning of the "Gu Gua", the corruption is not serious and it is easy to save, so the "sixth day" has been conscientious and started to save the corrupted cause of the predecessors.This is the phenomenon that the son saves the father's business. With such a capable son, the family business can be revived and the father will not suffer from disaster.However, there are bound to be many difficulties to save a corrupted cause, so you must work hard to get auspicious in the end. "Xiang Zhuan" said: This is the son can inherit the father's will.This line shows that to save a corrupted cause, one must struggle through hardships.

Ninety-two: The Gu of godmother, do not be chaste.

"Xiang" said: "Dry the mother's Gu", and you can get the middle way. "Ninety-two" is masculine, in the middle of the next hexagram, symbolizing a talented son.

"Ninety-two" corresponds to "Sixth Five-Year", and "Sixth Five-Year" is yin. Compared with the mother, this is the image of the son taking care of the mother's aftermath.However, if a strong son makes up for the failure of a weak mother, if he condemns him too seriously, he will hurt his family.The next hexagram "crying" is Shun, Ren; therefore, the advice should be moderate, so that the mother can adopt her own opinion, instead of insisting on justice, and severely condemning.Therefore, "Xiang Zhuan" said: We should respond with the principle of moderation.This line shows that it is useless to save the ruined cause and condemn the past, and the principle of the mean should be used.

Nine Three: The Gu of godfather, there is a little bit of obscurity, but no major blame.

"Xiang" said: "The Gu of godfather", in the end, "no blame". The "nine three" Yang Yao Yang position is too strong and has left the middle position.With such a strong character, it is inevitable that a son with such a strong personality will be too impatient to deal with the aftermath of his father's failure, so he will regret it to some extent.However, "Jiu San" has the virtue of obedience in the next hexagram "Xun", and the position of Yang Yao is correct.Therefore, if you are submissive to your father and have pure motives, no major mistakes will occur as a result.

This line illustrates saving a corrupted cause.Don't be too strong.June [-]th: Yufu's Gu, often sees stinginess.

"Xiang" said: "Yufu's Gu" has never been obtained. "Yu" means tolerance, and "June [-]th" is soft and gentle.Too weak for big things.With this kind of character, if you deal with the aftermath of your father's failure, you will be too lenient, unable to get to the bottom of it and rectify it thoroughly, so that you will get deeper and deeper, and you will humiliate yourself.Therefore, "Xiang Zhuan" said: Too tolerant, although you want to move forward, you get nothing.

This line shows that saving a corrupted cause must be thorough and not too lenient.

Sixth Five-Year: The godfather's cup, use reputation.

"Xiang" said: "The godfather uses reputation", and inherits virtue. The Yin line of "Six Five" is submissive. It is in the middle position of the supreme hexagram, and there is a corresponding Yang line "Nine Two" below, which symbolizes that there is a resolute son behind him who can inherit his father's career and will make his reputation grow day by day.For example: Taijia in the Yin Dynasty and King Cheng in the Zhou Dynasty were both weak emperors, but with the assistance of Yi Yin and Zhou Gong, they both gained reputation in governing the country.

This line shows that to save the corrupted cause, we must use talents.Upper Nine: Don't be a prince, be noble.

"Xiang" said: "Don't be a prince", as long as the ambition is possible.

"Xiang Zhuan" said: "You don't have to worry about the career of princes and princes." This kind of ambition can be imitated.

Then: criterion, used as a verb here, means to take someone as the criterion, that is, to imitate.

A Comprehensive Overview of Gu Gua

[Meaning] Carry out rectification——It is difficult to save, but it is difficult to recover from fatigue.

[Gua Yi] Corruption, chaos, erosion.

[Introduction] Gu is the growth of worms in the container, or the growth of worms in the food dish.After a long period of peace, there must be corruption and chaos inside.The shape of this hexagram indicates the phenomenon of disaster caused by the wind blowing in from the mountain, or the older man (Xun) bewitches the younger man (Gen).The world is changing and the morals are disordered, so there are many things and difficulties.But there is no need to despair, if you are poor, you can be flexible. The deeper the contradiction, the more likely it is to solve it fundamentally.Taking this as an opportunity to completely eradicate the moths born inside, it can be said that the time of corruption and chaos is also an era of innovation and new life.

【Heave meaning】In the upper hexagram, Gen is the mountain, and in the lower hexagram, Xun is the wind, and the image of the wind blowing from the foot of the mountain.When the wind enters the foot of the mountain, you cannot breathe if you close your breath. If the mountain blocks the wind and does not flow smoothly, there will be an undercurrent, and there will be saprophytic insects.It means that if the food is rotten, there will be insects, the business will be sluggish, it will be corrupted and chaotic, and the society will be corrupted.

[Structural model] The hermit is noble, appoints the virtuous, is too tolerant, insists on the mean, saves the lost business, Gu (corruption and innovation).

[Yin and Yang] three yin and three yang.

[Position] Yin in the first and fifth lines occupies the position of yang, and yang in the second and sixth lines occupies the position of yin.The third line and the fourth line are upright.

[Status] Things get worse after a long time, and get better after a long time.

[Structural model] The upper hexagram, Gen is the mountain, and the lower hexagram, Xun is the wind and the person.The wind blows into the mountains and the scenery blows down the mountain.The wind is blocked and saprophytic insects are made.The lower hexagram Xun is also stinky as qi, until it meets Gen, it is like a utensil for hiding stinky substances, with the image of rotten insects inside.

[Thinking mode] This hexagram mainly talks about the strategy of eradicating corruption and introducing vitality.

(1) Corrosion and corrosion exist in everything, and there should be a thinking of "flowing water does not rot, and household hinges do not moth".

(2) There must be a fighting spirit to recover from fatigue and turn the tide.

(3) The corrosion should be thoroughly removed, and all evil should be eliminated.

(4) Grasp the appropriate opportunity and take decisive measures.

(5) Adhere to purity and never resist corrosion.

[Philosophical Enlightenment] Explanation of the principle of vibrancy and decline: In the face of corruption, aspiring gentlemen should not sit still and do something, innovate and eliminate disadvantages.

[Decision-making thinking] When the things you are facing are internally faulty and rotten, you need to carefully manage them, strengthen various preventive measures, and carry out reforms to make them revive.In interpersonal relationships, we must be alert to internal discord and unfavorable friendships, maintain noble integrity, and rectify civil strife.
