"Preface to Ci Zhuan" said: "Those who are trapped on the top must go down, so they are treated with wells." "Mencius" talks about the ancient well field method. "Xiang" said: "The well is not eaten", and the behavior is "compassion".Seek "Wang Ming" and "be blessed".

"渫" means to dig out the mud and sand in the well to make the well water clean. "Nine Three" Yang Yao Yang is in the right position, at the top of the lower hexagram, it is not the mud and sand at the bottom of the well, but clear water, but it is not drinkable, which is a pity.This is water that can be drawn for drinking. It is like a wilderness where there are strong men, but no one can use them. A wise king should promote and appoint these wise men. It is happiness for both the king and the wise men. Xingxi in "Xiang Zhuan" means that pedestrians feel sorry.

"Xiang" said: "There is no blame for the well", and it is also for repairing the well. "Repair" is to repair the inner wall of the well. "Repair" means repair. This line shows that sages should be made to benefit the whole people.Upper Six: There is no curtain in the well, there is Fu Yuanji.

"Xiang" said: "Yuan Ji" is on "Shang", and Dacheng is also. "Receipt" is to absorb, and "curtain" is to cover. "Shangliu" is the highest position of the well hexagram, which symbolizes taking water from the well to reach the highest position, so that the function of the well can be fully exerted.Since the well water is inexhaustible, there is no need to cover it, so that it is open for everyone to use.However, it must be reliable, and it must be able to supply water continuously and provide the greatest convenience to people. That is, when a person is in the highest position, he should always serve the people sincerely. This is the greatest good deed and the greatest auspiciousness.

Usually there is no upper position, and the "five" is the honorable position, but the nature of the well is different, and the upper position is the honorable position. It can be seen that the principles of "Book of Changes" are not the same.
