"Xu Gua Zhuan" said: "Things cannot stop moving and stop, so when they receive it, they will stop."
The hexagram shape of the Gen hexagram is opposite to that of the Zhen hexagram. It is a "comprehensive hexagram". "Gen" means violation, and its extended meanings include stop, resentment, and hardness, such as hatred that violates the heart, restriction that is difficult to do, hardship that is distressed, and silver that is hard, etc., here it means stop.

The pure hexagrams with the same upper and lower hexagrams, such as other hexagrams such as "Zhen", "Kan", "Xun", "Li", and "Dui", all have some of the four virtues of Yuan, Heng, Li, and Zhen. Only the Gen hexagram, Not at all, just saying that there is no blame; because it has reached the state of forgetting both people and me.
This hexagram is full of Lao Zhuang's evasive thoughts.However, Confucians in the Song Dynasty highly praised this hexagram. Zhou Dunyi said: "The entire volume of the Lotus Sutra can be replaced by this hexagram Gen." Perhaps this is in line with the ethical thinking of abstinence in the Song Dynasty.
"彖" said: Gen.stop also.When the time stops, it stops, when the time goes, it goes, the movement and stillness do not lose the right time, and the way is bright.Bury it, stop it.The upper and the upper should respond to each other, but not with each other.Therefore, "If you don't get your body, if you walk in the court and don't see your person, there is no blame."

If you don't miss the right time, the future will be bright.The stop mentioned in Gen Gua is to stop at the place where it should stop. "University" says: "Stop at the best." Confucius said: "When you stop, you know where you stop." Respect, the son ends with filial piety, the father ends with kindness, and the relationship between people ends with trust; it can be cross-referenced with this "彖ci".This hexagram has the same shape as the upper and lower hexagrams. Sixth day: Gen Qitoe, no blame, Li Yongzhen.
"Xiang" said: "Gen Qizhi", it is not out of order. "Junior Sixth" is the lowest position, which is equivalent to the toes.When a person is acting, the toes are the first to move, so if the toes are stopped, the action will stop before it happens, there will be no inappropriateness, and there will be no disasters.But the "sixth day" yin line is weak, so it is inevitable that it will not be able to stick to the right way for a long time.Therefore, it is warned that only by sticking to the right path for a long time can it be beneficial.
This line shows that stopping should be done before the action starts, so that it will not be inappropriate.
Sixty-two: Gen Qifei, if he does not save his followers, his heart will be unhappy.
"Xiang" said: If you don't save your followers, you won't quit listening. "Philo" is the calf, and "[-]" is in the middle of the next hexagram, which is equivalent to the calf.
The main line of the next hexagram is "Jiu San", which is equivalent to the waist. The waist takes the initiative to move, and the legs follow the waist; so "Six Two" is compared with "Philippine". "Six Two" is supple and upright, while "Nine Three" is rigid and rigid, too strong and extreme. "Jiu Er" wanted to save "Jiu San", but he lacked feminine strength, so he had to reluctantly follow him: "Jiu San" didn't listen to his advice and went on his own way. "Xiang" said: "Gen Qizhi", the danger of "smothering the heart". "Limit" is the boundary, the upper and lower boundaries of a person, at the waist. "夤" is the meat of the back, and "Lie" is the original character for crack. "Nine three" is just the boundary of the upper and lower hexagrams, which is equivalent to the waist. It is rigid and rigid, but not in the middle. This line shows that you should know the opportunity, restrain yourself, and stop when enough is enough.Sixth Five-Year: Gen Qifu, speaking orderly, regretting death.
"Xiang" says: "Gen Qifu" means to be neutral.
"Auxiliary" is the joint of the jaw. "Six Five" is above the hexagram, which is equivalent to the joint of the jaw and is the organ of speech.
