Chapter 7 What are the ways to increase the air humidity around potted flowers
Some potted flowers, especially for foliage, not only need the pot soil to be kept moist, but also require high air humidity.

Most of the indoors in the north are relatively dry. In order to meet the humidity requirements of potted flowers, some special methods can be used to increase the air humidity around the plants.

(1) Frequently spray water on the ground and flower plants around the flowerpot. If conditions permit, it should be sprayed at least 2 to 3 times a day, and the effect of using an atomized sprayer is the best. The mist water can cover the plants like a fog, forming a small environment with high humidity.

(2) Put the flower pot in a shallow pan (pot) for water storage, and the pan (pot) is covered with gravel, so that the bottom of the flower pot cannot touch the water in it.As the water continues to evaporate, the air humidity around the flower pot is increased.Or placing a shallow water tray near the flower pot can also achieve the above effect.

(3) Deep pot evaporation method, that is, to grow potted flowers in a wide and deep container with a small amount of water, and a stable high-humidity environment will also be obtained.Note that gaskets should be added to the bottom of the flowerpot to make the flowerpot higher than the water surface.

(4) Put the flower pot into a pot with a larger diameter, and put sawdust, rock wool, rags, waste cotton, peat and other water-absorbing materials in the gap between the two pots. These materials will gradually release after absorbing water Water vapor is emitted, thereby increasing the humidity around the potted plants. In addition, if the leaf surface can be scrubbed frequently to remove the dust that blocks the stomata in time, the leaves can also be exposed to more water vapor. In winter, never put the plants near the heater or on the flue of the heater, otherwise the pot soil will be dried quickly and the plants will die due to dehydration.
