Chapter 105 Shennong Asked the Tushita Palace

When Shennong came outside the Tushita Palace on the 33rd day, he saw that the only disciple of the Taiqing sage Lao Tzu, Master Xuandu, was waiting outside the Tushita Palace at this time. Seeing this, Shennong hurried forward to salute and said
"Daoist friend is polite."

Seeing this, Xuandu hurriedly turned back, and said with a smile
"Fellow Daoist, you don't need to be too polite. You dare to ask me, but you are a disciple of Sage Qinglian. Are you fellow Daoist Shennong?"

When Shennong heard Xuandu's words, he was taken aback for a moment, then nodded hastily, and said

"I am Shennong from the Qingqiu Mountain lineage. I don't know how fellow Taoists know that I am here?"

After hearing Shennong's words, Xuandu smiled faintly and said

"Fellow daoist, don't be confused. It's my teacher. I have already ordered you to wait here for your arrival. My teacher once told me that if you come, you can just take you to meet my teacher."

After Shennong heard Xuandu's words, his expression immediately became solemn, and then he straightened his clothes, and then said to Xuandu with a serious face.

"Shen Nong is terrified. With my humble body, how can I let the sage wait? My fellow Taoists please take me to meet the sage quickly, so that Shen Nong won't be even more rude."

After hearing Shennong's words, Xuandu smiled slightly, then turned around and took Shennong into the Tushita Palace, and came to Lao Tzu.

When Shennong came to Lao Tzu, I saw Lao Tzu at this time, dressed in coarse linen, in the small courtyard behind Tushita Palace, like a farmer, tending the crops on the ground.

When Shennong saw this scene, he was taken aback for a moment, and then quietly stood aside, waiting for the work in hand of Lao Tzu to end.

After a long time, Laozi finally put down the hoe in his hand, came to a square wooden table next to the crops, and sat down.

Until this moment, Master Xuandu, who was waiting outside the courtyard, brought Shennong to Lao Tzu's side, saluted Lao Tzu respectfully, and then said

"Teacher, Fellow Daoist Shennong has already brought it."

After listening to Xuandu's words, Laozi nodded slightly, then raised his head to look at Shennong behind Master Xuandu, smiled slightly, and said

"Well, Fengshen is handsome and has a clear temperament. He is worthy of being the disciple of the elder brother. Come on, Xuandu, Shennong, you all sit down."

After hearing Lao Tzu's words, Xuan Du respectfully agreed, and sat opposite Lao Tzu. Shen Nong was taken aback when he saw this scene, then saluted Lao Tzu respectfully, and said

"Shen Nong doesn't dare, how dare Shen Nong sit with a saint regardless of his superiority or inferiority?"

Hearing Shennong's words, Lao Tzu immediately smiled and said calmly

"What is a saint?"

Shennong was stunned for a moment when he heard Lao Tzu's sudden question, and after thinking for a while, he said respectfully.
"Shen Nong doesn't know what a sage is, but Shen Nong once heard from my teacher that the so-called sages are those who have attained the Dao and obtained the Hunyuan Dao Fruit. Although these people have proved the Dao, the seven emotions and six desires have faded, but they still cannot get rid of their human nature. , The so-called petty thieves, medium thieves of the country, big thieves of heaven, and saints are the ones who steal the mysteries of heaven and earth."

Master Xuandu was beside the two of them. Hearing Shennong's words, he was inexplicably shocked. He also looked at Shennong with a look of shock and disbelief. But he nodded with a smile all over his face. After Shennong finished speaking, he burst out laughing and said

"Okay, what a small thief, middle thief country, big thief sky, okay, hehe, he is worthy of being a disciple taught by elder brother, and he really lived up to his teaching. I once heard elder brother say such a sentence, a sage never dies, There are more than a few thieves. Later, when I established a religion and became a saint, my understanding of this sentence became deeper and deeper. As I became a saint, I understood this sentence that explained the mystery of the Dao more and more. The so-called saint, although Called holy, but still can't get rid of the word "herringbone."

Having said that, Lao Tzu let out a long sigh, then looked at Shen Nong and continued
"Shen Nong, what is 'Tao'?"

When Shennong heard Lao Tzu's question, he thought for a while before saying

"I haven't thought about this question, but according to my own understanding, Tao should be an order that controls the heaven and earth. It is higher than the nine heavens, but it contains within the nine heavens, maintaining the operation of everything in the world. If the world loses the power of Tao Control, I'm afraid this world has already become a different scene."

After hearing Shennong's words, Lao Tzu nodded his head lightly, and then said

"The Dao is the Dao, the very Dao. The name can be named, and the name is very famous. The nameless beginning of heaven and earth. It is known as the mother of all things. Therefore, there is often no desire to see its wonderfulness. The same is called the mysterious.

Tao, originally higher than the nine heavens, but conceived the things of the nine heavens, invisible, ever-present, and inaction, so the Tao is not benevolent. Selfishness, this is the true meaning of Dao. Countless people in the world are pursuing the Dao, but they all say that the Dao is ruthless. Is the Dao really ruthless?Doesn't it mean that selflessness and ruthlessness are indeed the most affectionate and the most tangible?
What I am practicing is the way of forgetting emotion. In fact, this kind of forgetting emotion is nothing more than transferring the personal affection for one person and one thing to the general affection for everything. Everything has its own development order, and we are just acting in accordance with its development order.

The ninety-nine avenues, escape from one, some things, no matter how hard we try, are just the one that we hope to catch the avenue and escape from. "

After hearing what Lao Tzu said, Shen Nong stood there in deep thought for a long time, his expression fluctuating, surprised for a while, frowning for a while, and after a long time, he still didn't wake up.

Seeing Shennong's scene, Lao Tzu smiled slightly and said

"Shen Nong, what questions do you have? Why don't you come and listen."

Shen Nong frowned when he heard what Lao Tzu said, and said

"Reporting to the sage, Shennong still doesn't understand. If it is true what the sage said, why does my teacher always pursue breaking the way against the sky? Why are there still countless people in this world who are tirelessly pursuing the way of transcendence and breaking the bondage? Isn't it very contradictory?"

Hearing Shennong's words, Lao Tzu immediately smiled, stretched out his hand to pick up the teapot on the table, poured himself a cup of tea lightly, then picked up the teacup, took a sip, and then said

"Everyone pursues different avenues, and understands different avenues. Your teacher is taking the path of breaking the way. Although this road is full of ups and downs, it cannot be said that it does not belong to the avenue. The way of sentient beings, the way of ruthlessness, the way of being sentient, the way of forgetting emotion, no matter what kind of way it is, it is one of the three thousand ways. There is no right or wrong. It just depends on the choice of the individual.

As the saying goes, there are three thousand ways, you can choose one of them.So it's hard to say who is right and who is wrong.

As for the contradiction, hehe, the Dao itself is contradictory, otherwise, with the rigor of the Dao, wouldn’t we, the thieves, have died under the Dao long ago?Hehe, your teacher once said that saints never die, but thieves never stop. These saints are actually the biggest thieves between heaven and earth. "

After hearing what Lao Tzu said, Shen Nong immediately nodded in agreement. At this time, Lao Tzu continued to speak

"Okay, Shennong, please sit down. Your teacher asked you to come here to seek Taoism. I naturally know what it means, and I will teach you everything I know. Don't feel sorry for yourself. Your teacher asked you to come here. It's not that I want to drive you out, but that the number of days is fixed. Even if your teacher's cultivation is against the sky, sometimes he can't do anything in the face of the general trend of heaven and earth. Hey. You are one of the destined three emperors of the human race, and the great king I established Teaching is human teaching, so you must come to worship under my door, so that you can achieve your own greatness in the future, this is a predetermined number of heaven and earth, even your teacher can't do anything about it."

Hearing what Lao Tzu said, Shen Nong was shocked all over, then saluted Lao Tzu respectfully, and said

"Thank you Saint for ordering, Shen Nong understands."

Seeing Shennong's expression, Lao Tzu nodded with a smile and said,

"Okay, okay, children can be taught, come and sit down."

This time Shennong didn't shirk anymore, and after saluting like Lao Tzu, he sat down next to Master Xuandu.

After Shennong sat down, Xuandu personally poured a cup of tea for the three of them. I picked up the tea that Xuandu poured, took a sip, and then said to Shennong with a smile

"Shen Nong, are you a little puzzled when you see me tending the garden here?"

Shen Nong nodded slightly when he heard what Lao Tzu said.

Seeing Shennong nodding his head, Lao Tzu smiled slightly and said

"Hehe, in fact, the so-called man follows the sky, the sky follows the earth, the earth follows the Tao, and the Tao follows the nature. In the end, they are inseparable from all things in nature. Therefore, the best way to understand the Tao is to integrate into all things and experience all things.

Shennong, do you know what kind of plants I plant in the garden?Have and effect? "

Shen Nong was stunned for a moment when he heard Lao Tzu's words, looked up at the green seedlings in the garden, and then shook his head blankly.

Seeing Shennong shaking his head, Lao Tzu smiled and said
"The plants I grow are called grains. The grains in this small yard alone are enough to feed a human tribe for a year."

Shennong was shocked when he heard Lao Tzu's words. Shennong was also from the human race. He naturally knew that the human race was still hunting for survival. When Fuxi went to Qingqiu Mountain, he also went up the mountain because of food problems. With Lao Tzu's words, Shen Nong immediately thought of the grain in the yard and the current situation of the human race.

At this time, Lao Tzu seemed to have seen what Shen Nong was thinking in his heart, and suddenly smiled slightly, and said

"Shen Nong, are you thinking, since this grain is so promising, why don't I, as the leader of the human religion, teach this method of growing grain to the people?"

After saying this, Lao Tzu paused, and before Shen Nong could answer, he explained with a smile:

"Hehe, it's actually not that I don't pass this method on to the human race. Don't say it's me, even your teacher knows it. It's just that the time has not come yet, and it's not the time to pass this method down. The Dao is the way of herbs and food, I will teach you all this method and the way of herbal alchemy, and when you are in charge of the human race in the future, you will pass these things on to the human race."

Having said that, Lao Tzu showed a trace of exhaustion on his face, raised his head and said to Shen Nong

"Okay, Shennong, it's getting late today, you can go down with Xuandu and rest, starting tomorrow, I will pass on all I know to you."

Shennong heard what Lao Tzu said, and hurriedly followed Xuan Du to stand up and bowed to Lao Tzu, then followed Xuan Du and went down to rest.

After Master Xuandu and Shennong disappeared, Lao Tzu raised his head and looked in the direction of Qingqiu Mountain, sighed, and said softly
"Brother, brother, I owe you another karma. This karma is so great, how will you ask Li Er to repay it in the future. Hey."

After all, Lao Tzu shook his head, got up and went to the yard again, picked up the hoe from before, and continued to tidy up his yard.
