Chapter 1 Preface
This book, in fact, has been circulated in many people's hands in different formats and texts long before it was written.In recent years, the Bodhi Island website has published some of my articles one after another, including stories about people from the past, some reflecting personal observations and experiences in Buddhist practice, and records of conversations with disciples and fellow Taoists, etc.Scattered and unsystematic.

Unexpectedly, after the article was published, it was welcomed by many readers.They have expressed the hope that these articles can be combined into a book for easy reading and carrying.Helpless, I have been sick for more than a year, and I have to deal with complicated affairs, and the publication of the book has been delayed again and again.Some people couldn't wait any longer, so they printed out their favorite articles, bound them into volumes, added covers and inserts, and presented them to relatives and friends.At the beginning of this year, some disciples once again proposed the matter of gathering, and I hope that I can agree.I figured that since so many people liked these articles, and someone was willing to edit them, arrange them, and print them into a book, everything seemed to be ready, so I readily agreed.

Originally, those Bodhisattvas who have ascended to the ground, those who have seen the deity in person, or those who are proficient in the scriptures are qualified to write books and explain the Dharma.And I am just an ordinary person. The reason why I have compiled my little experience and feelings of learning Buddhism into words is to share and communicate with more Buddhist disciples, those who are interested in Buddhism, or those who are interested in spiritual practice. It can help some people to clear up some of the confusion in their thinking and practice.Due to my personal limitations, there are bound to be mistakes and omissions in the interpretation and extension of Buddhism in the article. Here I pray for the forgiveness of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and I also ask readers to see my sincere bodhicitta and not to blame too much.

From the initial conception to the final completion of the book, many people contributed wisdom, confidence and hard work in this process. Although these disciples do not want me to disclose their names, I still want to express my deep gratitude here again.Thanks to fellow Taoists who helped me translate, organize, and proofread the text. Without them, many of my ideas would not be able to be expressed in such fluent and beautiful Chinese.I still remember that we used to look up Tibetan-Chinese dictionaries together countless times, checking and deliberating over and over again for a word or a sentence; thanks to the Taoist friends who recorded for me and converted the recording into text, I know that this work is extremely important. It was tedious and mind-blowing; thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this book a reality.

I hope this book can inspire your interest and thinking about Buddhism, and encourage you to live a more joyful and comfortable life.

My root guru Dharma Wang Ruyibao’s greatest wish in his life is that all living beings will be reborn in the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss. In the wonderful lotus pond, the flowers will bloom one after another. When the flowers bloom, they will see the Buddha and see the Tathagata’s immeasurable light.In front of the adornment of Wande of Dharma King Ruyibao, I am so humble and terrified.I dedicate all my trust and prayers, together with this insignificant little book, to the old man.

It is also my wish to see the Buddha when the flowers bloom one after another.
