Chapter 2

In the evening, I was lying under the quilt feeling weak and hot all over, as if I was dreaming and opened my eyes but couldn't open them anyway.

Shaohua has developed a habit of visiting me in the next room every night before going to bed.

Soon, his panicked voice came from my bedroom, "Mom and Dad, come and see my sister, she has a fever."

Dad who was about to go to bed, and mother put on their coats again, and ran into my bedroom in a hurry. For a moment, I heard them say that my temperature was as high as 40 degrees, and the people in the room suddenly became chaotic. After I put on my cotton coat, my father went back to the room to get the money, while Shaohua put the little red leather shoes on my feet.

Because he had to go to class tomorrow, he was arranged to stay at home and watch the house, and he was not allowed to follow him to the hospital.

Shaohua was lying on the bed tossing and turning, opening his eyes from time to time to look at the small alarm clock on the bedside table. He couldn't figure out why I, who was always in good health, suddenly developed a high fever.

After two o'clock in the morning, there was a noise outside the door. He hurriedly jumped out of bed and opened the door, but only his father was in the living room.

"Shaohua, it's so late, why don't you go to bed?" Dad was startled, his eyes were serious.

"Dad, why didn't Mom and sister come back? What happened to my sister?" He looked anxious.

"Xiaoqian has a high fever and is under observation in the hospital. She will have an examination tomorrow, and your mother will accompany her in the hospital." Dad remembered something and looked at him, "I will write a leave note now, and you will hand it to her head teacher tomorrow morning." go."

In the early morning of the next day, the sky was slightly bright, Shaohua followed his father to the cafeteria to buy breakfast, the two of them hurried to the hospital with their lunch boxes without eating a few mouthfuls.

In the ward, I lay quietly on the bed for infusion, and my tired mother signaled them to move lightly so as not to wake me up.

My father and mother went to see the doctor. Shaohua sat on the edge of the hospital bed and looked at me with slightly frowned eyebrows. He reached out and stroked my wrist where the drip was applied, "Aren't you in good health? Will it hurt? It's my fault, Didn't take good care of you."

"It's my own fault! Blame you for what?" I narrowed my eyes and responded weakly.

"Tong Xueqian..." Shaohua looked at me angrily.

"Hey!" I made a face at him, "He's sleeping, why did you come here to apologize, you chased away my dreams."

"It seems much better to have the strength to talk nonsense." With a sunny smile on his face, he reached out to pick up the insulated lunch box on the bedside table, "Are you hungry?"

"I'm not hungry, I want to drink water." I sat up, "Dad, where's Mom? Did I scare them like that?"

"Your illness is terrible. My parents haven't had a good rest all night." He put the insulated lunch box back on the bedside table and poured me a glass of water.

"Then did you get scared?" I poured a cup of warm water into my stomach, turned slightly and put the cup back to its original place.

"Yes, I was so scared by you that I didn't know how to breathe." Hearing a familiar voice from outside the door, he raised his hand to check the time, and reached out to grab the schoolbag at the foot of the bed, "I have to go to school, noon See you again."

"Brother, goodbye." With a sweet smile on my face, I waved goodbye to him.
