Chapter 21 Righteousness
[Original text]

The Master said: "Hui① is a human being, and he chooses the mean. If you get a good thing, you will remember it with fist and fist, and you will never lose it."

①Hui: Yan Hui, courtesy name Ziyuan, was born in the state of Lu, the most proud disciple of Confucius, and the most virtuous disciple.

② Fist and obedience: Fist is also called "惓惓" (quánquán), which means holding on firmly.Obey (yīng), keep in mind.Clothes, wear, place.Ying, chest.

Confucius said: "Yan Hui behaved in this way. He chose the golden mean. If he realized a good principle of the golden mean, he would firmly remember it in his heart, and he would never forget it for a moment."
