Chapter 43 The Golden Goose

Chapter 43 The Golden Goose
Once upon a time there was a man who had three sons. The youngest son is called Datou.People made fun of him and taunted him every chance they got.

One day, the eldest son went to the forest to cut wood. Before he set off, his mother gave him a piece of cake and a bottle of wine.

When he reached the forest, he met a short, gray-skinned old man. The old man greeted him and said to him, "Give me a piece of cake and a drink of wine, for I am hungry and thirsty."

But the wise son said: "I gave you, I have nothing, you go your own way." He left the old man and continued to walk into the forest.

He accidentally cut off his arm while chopping a tree, and he had to go home to bandage it.

The second son went to cut down the tree.Mom also gave him a piece of cake and a bottle of wine.He also met this old man, who begged him for a piece of cake and a drink.

The second son was also very smart, and said, "I will give it to you, but I will not give it to myself. Go your way." After a while, he also suffered retribution. When he felled the tree, he cut his own leg and had to be carried home.

So, Datou said: "Father, I'll go and chop trees."

His father said, "Both your older brothers are injured. Don't go, you won't."

Dumb still begged him. Finally his father said, "Well, go ahead, you'll know when you're hurt." His mother gave him a piece of broken cake and a bottle of plain water and a bottle of sour beer.

When he reached the forest, he also met the little old man, who said to him, "Give me a cake and a drink. I am hungry and thirsty."

"I've only got a piece of broken cake and a little sour beer," replied the berk. "Let's have it together, if you don't mind."

They sat down, and Dumb took out the cake, and found that the cake had turned into a fine good cake, and the sour into fine wine. They ate and drank.

After eating, the old man said: "If you are willing to share with others and have a kind heart, I will bring you luck. There is an old tree over there, cut it down, and you will find some Children or something." After finishing speaking, the old man left.

Dutou immediately went to cut down the tree, and when the tree fell, he saw a golden goose whose feathers were all pure gold.He took the goose out and went to a small inn, where he was going to spend the night.

The innkeeper had three daughters who were very curious when they saw the golden goose, and each of them wanted a golden feather.

The eldest daughter thought, "No doubt I can pull one out at my chance." As Dumbledore left the room, she grabbed the goose wing, but look! Her finger was pricked by a golden goose, and her hand stuck to it.

After a while, the second daughter came in, also wanting to pull the golden hair. But as soon as she touched her sister, she was also glued to her. Finally, the little sister came too, and the two sisters shouted, "Go away, God, you go away!"

The little sister didn't understand why she was asked to go away, thinking: "They are here, so I can't stay here?"

She ran over, but as soon as she met the two sisters, she was also stuck, so the three of them spent the night with the golden goose.

Early the next morning, Daitou stuffed the golden goose under his arm and left without even looking at the three sisters who were stuck together. They had to run after him.

In a field they met a priest who saw them and cried, "What a disgrace, you three girls, to run after young lads like that! Don't you think that is decent?"

The pastor grabbed the little sister and tried to hold her back, but he got stuck and had to run after them.

After a while, a clerk also passed by this road, and was surprised to see a pastor running after the three girls: "Everyone, where are you going? Why are you running so fast? Don't forget, there is a baptism today." He followed them Back, grabbing the priest's sleeve, only to get glued too.

The five of them stuck behind and ran all the way. Two farmers came back from work with their hoes on their shoulders. Seeing them, the pastor begged them to come and save him and the clerk. So, the seven of them ran behind Daitou.

They are in town. Here the king had a daughter who was sullen all the time and never smiled. The king announced that whoever could make her laugh could marry her.

When Daitou heard the news, he brought the golden goose and a team of people to the princess. As soon as the princess saw these seven people running after her, she laughed so hard that she couldn't help herself.

Datou immediately said that she was his bride.

However, seeing that he was dissatisfied, the king found various reasons to refuse, telling him that he must first drink the wine in the cellar.

Dutou thought of the little gray-skinned old man, and he thought that the little old man would definitely help him, so he went to the forest. At the place where the tree was cut, he saw a man sitting dejectedly.

Datou asked him why he was frowning. The man replied, "I don't know how to keep me from thirst. Gold water won't work either. I've drunk a cask of water wine now, but what's a drop of wine to a hot stone?"

"I will help you," said the dull man, "follow me, and you will be satisfied." He took the man into the king's cellar, and before dark, the man drank all the wine in the cellar.

The fool wanted his bride again, but the king didn't want a guy called a fool to take his daughter away, so he put forward a new condition. He was going to go find someone who could eat a loaf the size of a mountain.

After thinking about it for a while, he went to the forest. There, a man is tightening his belt with a sad look on his face.He said: "I ate a pot of bread, but I was so hungry that a pot of bread was no use. My stomach was still empty and I had to tighten my belt or I would starve to death."

Datou was very happy and said, "Come with me. You have enough to eat." He took the man to the palace.

The king ordered all the flour in the country to be brought, and a loaf as big as a mountain was baked. The man started eating when he walked up to the mountain of bread, and he finished eating in just one day.

For the third time, Dumb came to ask for a bride again. This time the king found another excuse. He wanted a ship that could sail both in water and on land.He said, "You bring such a ship, and I will deliver my daughter to you at once."

The fool set off again into the forest, where he met the little old man who shared the cake with him, and the old man said, "I ate bread for you, and drank wine for you, and now I will give you a boat boat. I do this for you because of your kindness to me."

So, he gave Daitou a boat, which can walk on the shore or sail in the water. When the king saw the boat, he no longer refused to marry his daughter.

So, they happily held the wedding. After the king's death, Dutou inherited the throne and lived happily with his wife for many years.
