Chapter 14 The Sheep Noodle Girl

Chapter 14 The Sheep Noodle Girl
Once upon a time there was a farmer named Masanilo who had twelve daughters whose ages were like steps with a difference of one year between them.

The only thing the poor poor farmer can do is to raise this large group of children. In order to feed his daughters, he kept tilling the fields all day long.

Although he works hard every day, he can barely get by.The poor girls often had to go to bed hungry.

One day, when Masanilo was working at the foot of a high mountain, he suddenly came across a cave, which was so dark and gloomy that even the sun seemed afraid of entering it.

Suddenly, a large green lizard crawled out of the hole and stood in front of Masanilo. The animal frightened him to his wits, for it was the size of a crocodile and equally fierce in appearance.

However, the lizard sat down very friendly beside the farmer, and said, "Don't be afraid, sir, for instead of hurting you, I would very much like to help you."

Hearing this, the farmer knelt down before the lizard, and begged, "I don't know what to call you. I'm under your control now, please do me a favor and have pity on me, because there are twelve others at home. The poor young daughter depends on me to support her."

"That's why I came to you," Lizard replied, "bring your youngest daughter here tomorrow morning, and I promise to raise her as my own daughter, and treat her as a treasure."

Masanilo was very sorry to hear this, for he decided that the Lizard wanted his young and petite daughter only as a sweetheart for his supper.

At the same time, he thought: "If I refuse this request, the lizard will eat me on the spot. If I agree, it will take my daughter. What should I do? How can I get out of this danger?" What about the environment?"

He kept muttering, but the lizard said, "Hurry up and make up your mind to do what I say. I hope to get your little daughter. If you don't do what I want, I can only say that you will definitely face more serious problems." Terrible situation."

As there was nothing else to do, Masanilo got up with a pale, miserable face and went home.As soon as the wife saw him like this, she asked, "My dear, what happened? Did you quarrel with someone, or did the poor donkey fall down?"

"Neither," replied the husband, "but worse than either."

"A horrible lizard nearly drove me crazy, threatening to make me regret it if I didn't give him our little girl. My head was spinning like a grinding wheel. Spin around, don't know what to do, what a dilemma. You know how much I love our Redola. But if I don't hand her over to the lizards tomorrow morning, I'll die. See what I can do ?”

After listening to what the husband said, the wife said: "Honey, how do you know that lizard must be our enemy? Can't it be a friend? It may be a good beginning and an unfortunate end for you to meet it unexpectedly. .So yeah, take the baby to it, my gut tells me you'll never regret this move."

His wife's words relieved him a lot.The next day, just after dawn, he took his little daughter to the cave.

The lizard is waiting for the farmer's arrival. He went up to Masanilo, took the little girl by the hand, and gave the father a bag full of gold, saying, "Take this gold home, and buy some dowry for the daughters, and let them marry. Be happy, because I'll treat Redola like a parent. She's lucky to have me!"

This made Masanilo grateful, thanked the lizard, and returned to his wife.

When they heard that the farmer was so rich, there were quite a few people who pursued his daughter.Soon, he married off his daughters one by one.Despite the high cost, the remaining gold is enough for the couple to live a comfortable and fulfilling life.

When Rajdra and himself were alone, the lizard immediately transformed the cave into a beautiful palace, and led her into it.

Here, the lizard raised Raedola as a little princess, and she had everything she wanted. It fed her rich meals and fine clothes, and was attended by a thousand servants.

One day the king was hunting in the forest near the palace of the lizard, and soon it was getting dark.Seeing that there was a light in the palace, the king sent an attendant to inquire if he could spend the night there.

When the servant knocked on the door, Lizard transformed into a beautiful woman and opened the door herself.

When she heard of the king's request, she sent word to her squire that she would be more than happy to receive him, and would do her best to meet all his needs.

Upon hearing the gracious invitation, the king immediately came to the palace, and received the most warm hospitality.A hundred attendants came to meet him with torches, another hundred waited at the table, and a hundred waved big palm-leaf fans in the air to keep the king away from mosquitoes.

Redola poured the king's wine herself, and her every move was so graceful and easy that the king was fascinated by it.

As soon as supper was over and the table was cleared, the king went to bed.Redola made the king take off his shoes, and at the same time made the king take off his soul.

He fell madly in love with the girl, and called the Lizard Fairy, and begged her to marry him Redola.

The kind fairy thought of the girl's happiness wholeheartedly, so she readily agreed to the king's request, not only that, but also sent seven thousand gold coins as a dowry.

The king was glad that he got Redola, and with her company, he was ready to go back to the palace, but Redola didn't feel grateful for what the fairy had done for him.

Seeing that the girl was so ungrateful, the lizard decided to punish her. With a curse, she immediately turned the girl's face into a sheep's head.

In an instant, Redola's beautiful little mouth protruded like a sheep's beak, her beard was a yard long, her cheeks were sunken, and her bright braids became a pair of sharp antennae.

Seeing her like that, the king burst into tears and cried out, "Where is the long hair that attracted me so much? Where are the eyes that pierced my heart? The face that I once kissed." Where? Do I have to marry a goat for the rest of my life? No, never! You can’t be the laughing stock of your subjects for a sheep-faced woman!”

When he returned, the king shut Raedola up in a small room in the tower of the palace, with a maid, and ordered them both to spin ten bundles of linen in a week.

The maid obeyed the king's order and immediately moved her hands. She straightened the flax first, then wound it on the spindle, and then sat at the spinning wheel and spun diligently.By Saturday night she was almost done with her work.

But Raedola, who was spoiled and pampered in the fairy palace since she was a child, didn't notice the change in her face at all, so she threw the flax out of the window and complained: "I don't know what the king thinks, but let me do this kind of work? If he wants to wear a shirt, he can buy it. Doesn’t he treat me like he picked me up from the sewer? He should remember that I brought him seven thousand gold coins as a dowry, and besides, I am his wife, not a slave .He treated me like this, it's just crazy."

Nevertheless, by Saturday night, as soon as the maid had finished her work, Redola feared that she would be punished for her laziness. So she hurried back to the fairy palace and told the fairy about her misfortune.

The Fairy embraced her kindly, and gave her a sack full of spun linen, that the king might see how ingenious she was.Lei Zhuola picked up the bag, turned back to the palace without saying "thank you".This ungrateful act made the kind fairy really angry.

When all the linen was spun, the king gave Rajdra and his maid a puppy, and bade them both to watch over and train them carefully.

The maid raised the puppy almost as carefully as her own son.But Raedola said, "I don't understand. Have I met a bunch of madmen? Does the King think I'll comb and feed a dog myself?"

As soon as she had finished speaking, she opened the window and threw the poor little animal out.As soon as the little thing fell to the ground, it was as motionless as a stone.

Several months passed, and the king sent a message, saying that he wanted to see how the dogs looked.

Thinking of the king's order, Raedola became uneasy, and hurried back to the lizard for help. This time, what she saw in front of the Asgard Palace was an old man.The old man asked: "Who are you? What do you want to do?"

Upon hearing such a question, Redola said angrily, "Don't you know who I am, old goathead! How dare you speak to me like that?"

"Don't blame the pot," replied the old man. "I'm not a goat's head, you are. Please wait a moment, you ungrateful wretch. I'll let you know what the result of ungratefulness is."

After speaking, he left in a hurry, and when he came back, he held a mirror in front of Redola.Seeing her own ugly, hairy face, the girl almost fainted with fright, and she couldn't help crying.

The old man went on to say: "You must remember, Raedola, you are just a farm boy, and it was the fairy who made you the queen you are today, but you are ungrateful. You have to say 'thank you' for everything she has done for you Never said that. That's why she decided to punish you. If you want that long white beard to disappear, then you go and kneel before her and ask her to forgive you. She has a kind heart, so she may I sympathize with you."

Redola did feel guilty for her actions, so she accepted the old man's advice. The fairy not only restored her to her original appearance, but also put her in an embroidered dress, gave her a beautiful carriage, and escorted her back to her husband surrounded by a group of servants.

When the king saw her restored to her former beauty, and fell in love again, he regretted that she had been tortured so much.

Redola loves her husband, respects the lizard fairy, and is grateful to the old man for telling the truth and giving her advice, and has been living happily ever since.
