Chapter 43 Aunt Qing and Uncle He (1)

Aunt Qing’s home is located in the police compound in the city center. It still takes more than two hours to drive from school to her place. You can have lunch almost there. Although I don’t care much about material aspects such as food and clothing, I still I am fascinated by Aunt Qing's braised pork ribs, which is a dish I have loved since I was a child.

I came to Aunt Qing’s house by car. This is where I lived after my parents passed away when I was young. I didn’t move to live in my parents’ hometown until I was in my third year of high school. When I came to the third floor, I lightly pressed the doorbell, and immediately heard footsteps.

"Aunt Qing, I'm here to see you." The door was opened, and I forced out a natural smile and said to Aunt Qing.

"You still know to come to see me. It's been a few weeks since the last time." Aunt Qing raised her hand and patted my head, pretending to be angry and scolding me.

"What are you smirking about, you brat, come in quickly... come as you come, and bring anything." Aunt Qing saw me carrying something, and quickly took it from me Said.

"Aunt Qing, where's Uncle He?" I walked in, looking at the empty living room, I asked Aunt Qing.

"The old man must be playing chess again and forgetting the time. Jiangnan, you go and call him over. There is still one more dish to serve." Aunt Qing shook her head, and said helplessly to Uncle He's behavior that had no sense of time.

"Okay, Aunt Qing." I nodded.

After Uncle He retired, he often played chess with others under the trees in the community. He was so immersed in it as soon as he woke up that he often forgot the time to eat.And when I lived at Aunt Qing's house when I was young, it became my task to call back Uncle He who forgot to eat.

"Uncle He, Uncle Bai." When I came to the location of the huge poplar tree in my memory, a group of people were playing chess. I found Uncle He and greeted him and his opponent.

Hearing my voice, Uncle He said without looking back, "Wait a minute, he's about to lose."

"Who's going to lose?" The man on the opposite side was named Bai, he was tall and rough, and his temper was a bit irritable. I called him Uncle Bai, and he was also an opponent who often played chess with Uncle He. Did you just get away with eating my cart and horse? The outcome of this is still unknown!"

"My nephew told you to go home for dinner, why don't you go?" Uncle Bai also knew me since childhood, turned to look at me and said, "How many times have I said, don't call me Uncle Bai, especially when you are with your Uncle He?" When playing chess."

"Okay." I nodded. When I was a child, whenever I called him that, he was always in a hurry.
"Go ahead and play next time." Uncle Bai stirred up the chess game with his hands, and said to Uncle He with a smile: "I can't let my nephew wait for you again, it's rare for him to come now!"

"Well, Bai Jingdong," Uncle He cursed angrily when he saw that Uncle Bai had disrupted the chess game, "You're so old, you still have the guts to play tricks."

"Who's cheating!" Uncle Bai said unmoved, "I want you to go home early for dinner. Eldest nephew, don't you think so?"
"Hmph! I'm lazy to talk to you." Uncle He waved his hand, "Jiangnan, let's go back!"
