Going further and further down the wrong road.To get out of the blind spot of thinking, you need the correct method. "Shuowen" explained Mou: "Concerning difficulties is called seeking."The so-called smart people or successful people are those who can free themselves from the blind spots of thinking as soon as possible.

For dust, the first thing people think of is to use the "blowing" method, which is to blow the dust away with a machine. If the heart can endure humiliation, the body will be safe; if you can't endure it, you will suffer humiliation."

【Interpretation】A person who has a peaceful mind and is not moved by worldly temptations is called "An". "Book of Zhou" said: "Good harmony does not dispute peace." What is the highest state of peace of mind?That is patience.

The Chinese often say that "a scholar can be killed but not humiliated." Anything can be tolerated, even beheading, only insults cannot be tolerated, which shows the difficulty of "tolerating humiliation".

Su Dongpo, a great writer in the Song Dynasty, had a lot of research on Buddhism.After he was demoted, he had a good relationship with Chan Master Foyin and often consulted him on Buddhism.One day, Su Dongpo meditated and felt that he seemed to be enlightened, so he wrote a verse: "Ji Shou Tian is in the middle of the sky, with a light shining in the sky, and the eight winds can't blow it, sitting upright on a purple golden lotus".Su Dongpo was very proud, and immediately sent someone across the Yangtze River to present the gatha to Zen Master Foyin.Zen Master Foyin is worthy of being a great master. One can tell at a glance that Su Dongpo thinks he is great, but in fact he has not really attained enlightenment.So I added the word "fart" at the end of the gatha and asked Yuanren to take it back.

When Su Dongpo saw it, he was furious.He thought, this gatha is so good, how can it insult people with such rude language?This is not bad!He immediately crossed the Yangtze River to find Zen Master Foyin for comment.Zen Master Foyin knew his reason for coming, so he came forward and said with a smile: "Eight winds can't move, just cross the river with one fart." The scholar Su was so ashamed that he was speechless.

Even Mr. Dongpo, who is so knowledgeable and of such a high level, can't see this section, let alone us.But there is also a Chinese saying that goes, "Small intolerance leads to chaos and big plans." Without patience, nothing can be accomplished.Zen Master Baizhang once said: "Afflictions, patience and humiliation are Bodhi." Bodhi means awakening and a pure heart.Only by being patient can your heart be pure, you will never lose yourself, and you can concentrate all your energy on your career.

In history, Goujian, the king of Yue, finally recovered his country through hard work and courage; Han Xin endured the humiliation of stepping down, and after achieving great achievements, he returned to his hometown in rich clothes and invited those who insulted him to drink; This eternal swan song... Throughout the ages, which successful person has not worked hard on the word "enduring humiliation"?This is called "bearing the burden of humiliation". Forbearance does not mean incompetence or cowardice, but the great wisdom revealed from the tranquility of the heart.Today's humiliation is to bear the burden better tomorrow.

There is a song of humiliation that goes well: "Patience is good, patience is good, and the word patience is priceless. Once the hatred of the dynasty cannot be tolerated, there are many disasters in the struggle. The fortune is ruined, and the life is always difficult to protect. Showing off wealth and making grudges Enmity, in the end it will be terrible. What's wrong with letting others take a step? There is no trouble if you have a big breast."

Zixu governs the country, but goodness is treasure; Dongping Wang governs his family, doing good is the happiest. If the heart is fair, the body will not do evil; people can eliminate evil. Doing good will never harm lifelong happiness.

Again, be sincere to the heaven and earth, and always practice respect; if you are sincere to the king, you should do your best to be loyal.If you are sincere to your parents, you must be filial; if you are sincere to your friends, you must be humble.With such sincerity, it is natural to be in harmony with the gods. "

【Interpretation】The greatest happiness in the world is to help others, and let others gain something because of us; and the greatest wisdom in the world comes from sincerity, so that one's heart can be peaceful and open, and the spirit is not ambiguous.

What is happiness?Different people have different answers.According to the dictionary, happiness is contentment and happiness.The great philosopher Kant believed that "happiness is the satisfaction of our needs." Some people say that happiness is a kind of stimulation, wealth, success, flowers and honor... In fact, real happiness is a state of mind, an emotion .

Among the six universal human emotions defined by people, four are negative, including anger, fear, disgust, and sadness, one is neutral-surprise, and only happiness is positive.But it is a pity that the feeling of happiness is not like negative emotions, it will persist, it is fleeting, Eileen Chang has a famous saying: short happiness coaxes people to endure a long life.It is probably because happiness is short-lived that it is worth our efforts to pursue it.

In fact, the truth of "satisfaction and happiness" is not profound. Why can't many people do it?That's because we all have a comparison mind. We look at the size of other people's houses, how much money they have, how beautiful their wives are... Most of the troubles in life come from this comparison mind.

It's silly to think, what do we gain by comparing ourselves to others?What you get is depression, worry, worries about gains and losses, and a whole body of diseases.Stanford University School of Medicine in the United States conducted a one-year follow-up survey on 10 "greedy" and "contented" people, and concluded that the longevity rate of "contented" people is significantly higher than that of "greedy" people. A person with enlightenment has already transcended things and is not bound by material abundance or lack. Poverty does not consider suffering, and wealth does not consider happiness.Regardless of whether the material is good or bad, the situation is good or bad, the spirit is equally happy and peaceful.

But "satisfaction and happiness" does not mean stagnation and no pursuit.Instead, we need to let go of too many burdens in our hearts, and appreciate our daily life with an attitude of praise and a peaceful state of mind.

【Original】The bitterness is nothing more than many wishes.

A husband who governs a country must not wish more. As for the way a virtuous man nourishes his body, he can keep it without any appointments!"
