1. The composition and basic principle of the TOUCH body chassis measurement system

(3) Basic principles
Using flexible measurement technology, select the appropriate measuring point on the surface of the tested car and parts, use the free measuring head of the instrument to align the measuring point for measurement, and input the data into the computer, which is consistent with the standard shape of the car or part stored in the computer Size comparison can display the test results.

2. The basic functions of the body electronic measurement system TOUCH

① Measurement of three-dimensional coordinates of points in any space.

3. Application of body electronic measurement system in maintenance

(1) Body deformation and repair detection and four-wheel alignment detection

① Use the measuring arm to measure the corresponding measuring points of the car body, obtain the data and input it into the computer, and compare it with the standard data of the vehicle to detect the deformation of the car body.Figure 5-76 and Figure 5-77 show the shape detection of the upper part and the bottom of the car body respectively.

② The vehicle is parked on the flat ground for four-wheel alignment detection. The instrument enters the four-wheel alignment detection system and randomly selects three points on the wheel rim to measure, and then the installation position data of the wheel on the vehicle can be obtained, as shown in Figure 5- 78.

The repairman can clearly know the deformation of the measuring point, provide the repair basis for the repairman, and greatly improve the accuracy of the repair of the accident vehicle.More importantly, the electronic measurement system can measure the entire accident vehicle in a coordinate system, changing the traditional method of only partially measuring the vehicle, thereby avoiding the measurement error of the entire vehicle.

(2) Detection of damaged parts

During repair work, damaged parts often need to be replaced.In some cases, it is impossible and dare not to determine which parts must be replaced and which parts can continue to be used, so they are replaced together for safety, which often causes unnecessary waste and trouble.The accessories can be easily inspected by using the body electronic measurement system, as shown in Figure 5-82, to determine whether the accessories are damaged or have exceeded the limit of use, so as to decide whether to replace them.Improved economics of the repair shop

4. Advantages of body electronic measurement system

①It can be equipped on any girder corrector, or it can be used alone as a measuring instrument. It can be tested with a two-column lift or on the ground.

② Measuring holes or points in space is very simple.To measure the center point of a hole, just use the measuring head to measure any three points on the circumference of the hole, and the measuring instrument can calculate the coordinates of the center point of the hole.

③It is very convenient to move and is not limited by the location of the workshop.It can be used in sheet metal workshops to repair accident vehicles, and can also be used in inspection stations, and can also be used in business reception stations for business inspection and analysis of faulty damaged parts.
