Chapter 5 No one can travel alone

Chapter 5 No one can travel alone (2)
"We've been together for seven years. It's nothing ordinary. We study together every day and eat in the cafeteria together. After work, we all stayed in Beijing and lived in a small rented house. Every day when I came home from get off work, I looked up and saw the kitchen on the [-]th floor. The light that is on makes me feel so happy. It is my home, and in such a crowded city, there is a light that is turned on for me.”

"Then why did you become your ex-girlfriend? The seven-year itch?"

"When you reach the age, you will reach a threshold of either getting married or breaking up, and at the threshold of marriage, you need to use the house to fight the big boss. I promised her parents that she would wait for me for another three years."

"This kind of guarantee is too unreliable, only ghosts believe it!"

"Yeah, the ghosts believe it. Her parents asked her to resign and come to Australia to continue her degree. In fact, they want us to separate. They don't believe how a foreigner with no background can give their daughter happiness."

Koala turned around and interjected slowly: "Fortunately, you and she didn't drive by yourself. If she... saw you vomit, maybe... would break up with you too."

Hahaha, this little girl can't speak fast, but her mouth is sharp enough.

When the car arrived at Queens Town, the Australian people really didn't care about the place names. It was either the Queen's Village or the Queen's Land. All cities are nothing more than a few streets: George, Collin, and Victoria. Every city has Zhongshan, Renmin, and so on. Same as liberation.

It was a gloomy day in the town, and there were not even a passer-by.After finally navigating to a hotel, no one could be found in the restaurant and lobby. The kangaroo ran to the second floor and knocked on the door, and then wandered down to an aunt who told me that it was full!
Seeing that the weather wasn't too late, I flipped through the map and planned to drive to the next town to stay overnight. Not long after we set off, it was getting dark.We arrived at this small town on the map with excitement. It has a nice name, Rose Bery.black.Endless darkness. In the night and autumn rain, the silhouettes of houses lurk on both sides. There are not even lights, no dogs barking, and no human habitation. The car's night lights seemed to shoot into a black hole, and the only sound was the rain hitting the windows.I made a joke, saying that this place is like Silent Hill.Neither of them responded, probably because they really looked like each other.

A light suddenly appeared in front of us. We drove over and found that it was a row of board houses. One of them was lit, and not only was the light on, but also the lovely sound of the TV.We timidly knocked on the door, and an eight-foot-tall man came out, with large tattoos on his calf and arms, wearing a pair of shorts in the cold wind and rain, and carrying a bottle of beer.

When the kangaroo went to strike up a conversation, the big man was very gentle and said: This is just a camp, the boss is not here, he is the boss' friend. Then pointed us in a general direction.Driving around, I couldn't find the building he mentioned because it was too dark.Seeing a nearby house with a lot of small fish paintings on it, we decided to go in and have a look. Once we entered the door, we had fun.The big man sat in it impressively, chatting with the boss.Could it be that he has time-traveled?The big man told the boss that we were going to stay in the hotel. The boss took the car keys and went out, and asked us to drive behind him. After a while, we arrived at another campsite, and there were only three of us as residents.

There are no restaurants open, and my stomach is rumbling with hunger.Koala boiled a pot of hot water, took out a few zongzi, warmed them up, and handed them to us.

I exclaimed in surprise: Where did you get the zongzi?

She said: It was brought from China!
I took a bite and it was still a big meat dumpling. I was so surprised and asked: How did you pass the customs?

She said: Which is the customs?I just followed the people... walked and walked... I pushed the cart and came out, and I also brought a duck neck.

Sure enough, the confused girl has good luck.

When she was sleeping, she put the doll by her pillow, and I heard her whisper to her: Good night.

It was very quiet at night, as if we had disappeared from this world. When we woke up early the next morning, rain was dripping from the eaves. It turned out that we slept surrounded by mountains last night. The mountain was covered by thick fog, and only the outline could be seen. At the gate of the camp was a tree with yellow leaves that were about to fall.

Continue on the road, today our destination is Cradle Mountain.Walking through the smoky forest road, sometimes I feel like I am driving in the clouds. The weather is still not very good, it is very cold and light rain, thick fog covers everything, as if there is no way to come and go.

The trekking path in Cradle Mountain is quite exquisite. The anti-corrosion wooden boards are placed on the ground, and the non-slip barbed wire is carefully laid, which does not hinder the plants and does not appear obtrusive. It is quite easy to walk. The management area has carefully planned various routes ranging from one hour to a full day of hiking, and there is always one suitable for visitors.Going down this plank road is the famous 65-kilometer hiking route from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair (Lake St Clair), crossing the most spectacular glaciated valleys and mountains, and passing through Tasmania. The pristine wilderness of Mania, which has been silent for thousands of years, reaches the deepest lake in Australia.

On the way, it suddenly started to rain lightly. In Cradle Mountain, because of the unique geography, it was raining for two-thirds of the time.I met a German photographer. He said that he came to Cradle Mountain for the third time and wanted to take a panoramic view of Cradle Mountain under a clear sky. He probably was disappointed again this time.

The rain blurred the world, but because of the light rain, all the vegetation showed a particularly gentle temperament, with small mushrooms growing and pink fruits glistening.Later, it snowed again intensified, and the snow fell bigger and bigger. The trail was covered with white snow and stretched to the endless wilderness. Our eyelashes were covered with snow seeds, and the koala slid around in a pair of leather boots, holding the doll tightly in her arms.

But I don't think it's easy to experience the taste of hiking Cradle Mountain in the snow when encountering bad weather?

When we returned to the origin after walking the Pigeon Lake, the sun came out in an instant, everything began to shine with a moist luster, two rainbows flew across the lake, a tree stood at one end of the rainbow, and the other end was the quiet Cradle Mountain Pushing aside the dense fog, it is just like "seeing the distant Cen in the snow and the clouds".

The German photographer probably finally got his wish.

Things that seem bad are often not so bad. Most importantly, you can't always want the imaginary "right" and "good", it always comes inadvertently.

In the evening, we stayed in a hotel opposite the entrance of the scenic spot. At night, a fireplace was lit, and everyone chatted in twos and threes about some warm topics.

Kangaroo said Penny told him a story about Cradle Mountain. An Austrian named Gustav Weindorfer came to Cradle Mountain during their honeymoon with his wife. They fell in love with the mountains, rivers and lakes here. They spent more than ten years pioneering and planting pine trees in the mountains, built a villa, and loved ones live here. In 1916, after his wife died of illness, he lived alone for 16 years and died.He worked for ten years before his death, hoping to make this area a national park that "belongs to the people from generation to generation".His dream finally came true in 1922.

I don't know how romantic this story is and how far it is from the truth, but on this quiet and warm night, I choose to believe it.

The kangaroo said, if it was Penny, would she be willing to stay with me in the barren hills?I do not know.

Koala said quietly again: No...because you don't have...Australian green card, you will be deported.Well, the truth is always too cruel.

A night without dreams. As soon as we happily went out in the morning, we saw a kangaroo jumping over. The kangaroo student immediately took out his camera and chased after him. We have seen countless kangaroos along the way, but it is a pity that they are all dead.On the forest road, at some point, a kangaroo would suddenly appear and hit a high-speed vehicle. Therefore, warning signs with yellow kangaroo patterns will be hung on the roadside.

The kangaroo student was obviously too excited to see the living thing, only the jumping object was in his eyes, and he ignored the hip-high railing. He ran and suddenly fell down, lying on the grass, raised his head and knocked blood all over his face .He looked at the kangaroo inexplicably, and the kangaroo looked at him with a face full of panic and stood still with his hands folded. The kangaroo classmate waved to me vigorously: Sangsang, help me take a photo with the kangaroo!
In my shot, the bloody kangaroo squatted next to the cute kangaroo. Because the scene was so joyous, I couldn't even take a few photos because my hands shook from laughing.

The kangaroos here are not afraid of people at all. If you give them some nuts, you will be blind, and you can take pictures while standing. Koala and I took a photo with the kangaroo in our arms very leisurely. The kangaroo wiped the wound on his forehead resentfully, and looked at us enviously.

We spent three days in Cradle Mountain without mobile phone signal. We went all the way north, watching cows grazing with their tails flicking on the hillside, horses in floral clothes walking slowly in the forest, one after another waiting for letters. Cartoon mailboxes, flowers growing hard in the courtyard in the sun, came across the first ancient store of Coles in Australia, a Grandpa Harley team riding around the island, and a little girl holding a newborn baby lamb. We parked the car in Germany Next to an abandoned railway track in Wengang.

I didn't deliberately look for the attractions on the guide, I just wanted to stop and rest here.Koala was walking forward in the backlight of the railroad tracks with her doll in her arms. There was a small path in the gap between the trees. She suddenly called us loudly, come here, it can lead to the sea!
There is no more beautiful sea than this.

Even the famous Wineglass Bay that I saw later was not as stunning as when this unknown sea unfolded before my eyes.
